  1. So the pattern shifts seems to be the second Summer banner in order to tie into the first one better and Christmas. Interesting. Thanks for the list.
  2. Fire Emblem Warriors 2? Seems weird to include deleted footage if you ask me, but not impossible.
  3. Most seasonals start in the later half of the month IIRC, at least recently. February is just an odd month because Valentines Day is in the first half of the month and the second new heroes banner would be too late by then. January's seasonal is still up too. Plus, they want a seasonal to coincide with the Anniversary I'd imagine, that way the FEH channel seems more festive.
  4. Arion would be cool to have, and they can explain his character a bit more. His characterization is all over the place, so it would be nice to have a distinct Arion. Now that you mention it, Saias would be cool with Valflame. I can see him becoming playable after Chapter 8 or 9. Sara would be cool too. I'd imagine as a unit she may be too similar to Julia so we need to be careful with how she is designed. 1. The Mystletainn vs. Earth Sword is a very interesting idea. They could even write a scene about how Eldigan gives Lachesis his sword and instructs her to give it to his son when he's ready to use it. They would have to explain why she didn't take it when she went to the desert though. 2. I believe Julius saves Arion because he's currently the only person who can wield Gungnir, and I think saving a Major Holy Blooded Individual is worth the effort as they're a huge boon for your army. They really should explain Julius' character more and give him more screentime. He's talked about as an enigmatic figure capable of extraordinary things (and we do see it by him warping all over Jugdral without using a stave), BUT we don't see him plan or discuss strategy or his goals. He just acts like a psychopath on screen, and we don't see how cunning he is or how dangerous his mind can really be. 3. I'm all for reclassing or having a New Game+ mode where everyone is in an alternate class OR in a random class with random growths and stats. Lene deserves to wield the Valkyrie Staff too since she's the eldest and the outlier of the Holy Blood theories. 4. Having set times for holy weapons is an interesting thought. Hmmmm... part of the beauty of inheritance is getting every weapon, regardless if it's a holy weapon or not, gets passed down. 5. There's so much room for memory prisms. Gen 2 memory prisms can show us what happened to the characters that disappeared after the BBQ (Azelle, Lachesis, Silvia, Ayra - show Lewyn's transformation, hint at the prologue of Thracia 776. There's a lot of material to work with.) 6. I like the idea of Generation 0. I would also like to see Sigurd in his teenage days at the academy and see him swear his oath with Eldigan and Quan. Aideen and Arvis should also be at the academy at this time so I would like to see how Aideen is as the "popular" girl and Arvis as Sigurd's main rival. Would Claud attend the academy? They could also show the younger class of Ethlyn, Taillte, Azelle, Lex, and Andorrey as well. A lot of material to work with. Similarly, they could also do a scenario where Ares unites the war torn Agustria, with the help of Dermott and any lovers they may have. Tristan and Jeanne may also make an appearance regardless if Lachesis had kids. 7. I kind of like your Total War idea. Could be fun and painfully long, but I would play it. Especially if the enemy AI fights the other enemy AI - I'm in the minority but sometimes it's fun to see the AI fight each other. Yeah you can level up your thief with that method, but tbh it's a pain in the neck to do. Their lover probably has stuff to do, like fighting, healing, or dancing so they'd be too busy with that to do this consistently. Plus, your thief only gets 10 exp from this. You're better off boss abusing (Dew in Chapter 1) or rescuing villagers (There's 6 in Gen 1 and 17? in Gen 2. They can manage to get three levels on their own.) I don't think it's necessary, and tbh it's faster and more efficient just to run Patty through the arena and sleep sword abuse. Once they promote to Thief Fighter, Dew and Patty will be able to run through the arena pretty well if you give them a Silver Sword to swing around. Daisy will always be crap though. If you seen MageKnight404's let's replay of FE4, Daisy promoted might have only 7-8 STR and 4 of those points came from promoting. It's sad.
  5. I was thinking of the Ancient Roman army and how commanders had to be very careful about managing them. Specifically the legions that specialized in short range combat. Short range legions often felt entitled to the best equipment and that lower legions (a battalion of slingers, for example) should get whatever is left over. Even when they pillaged if you didn't give them the command and justification for splitting up the spoils, they'd keep it to themselves. I'm not sure about WWII army structures, as ancient history is more interesting to me. However, I'll ask a friend if she knows anything about it since she just graduated college as a history major with an emphasis on WWII. Tbh, I'd say there's characters that should trade right off the bat. For example, Patty can trade with Faval regardless of support level. However, she'll start trading with Shanan, Lester, and Lana once they hit level B in support. As for a battalion system, I'd make it similar to Three Houses, as I didn't have much issues with it in the first place. The only problem is that characters don't have a charm stat so a charm stat and growth might need to be added or certain characters get assigned a certain battalion.
  6. A little late to the party, but let's see what people got. I've recently been replaying FE4 and tbh, it's not as big of a slog as I remember. Maybe it's because I know what I'm doing this time and know how to move at an efficient pace. What do you mean? Jugdral has no instance of homophobia in it IIRC. And honestly, is it that big of a deal? Personally, I wouldn't make anyone in the First Gen gay, but in the second gen? Who cares. Who they end up with isn't that important since most of them have set endings regardless if they have a lover or not. Even some girls like Tinni and Julia don't necessarily follow their lovers home because they have their own stations and responsibilities. Having 1 pair of gay lovers wouldn't change their endings that much either. Would Dermott and Ulster's characters change that much if they're gay/bisexual? Nope. The only thing it does is make some fans feel more included and pair up a couple of dudes who most likely wouldn't be paired up anyway because the M to F ratio is 15:9, and one of the ladies is in love with her foster brother and is off the market. If your reasoning for not wanting LGBT characters is because medieval era Europe was homophobic, I'd say that's a weak reason. This is a fictional game, and the rise of homophobia corresponds heavily with the rise of Christianity. Christianity is a not a religion in Jugdral. The degree of how much change an FE4 remake has always been back and forth for me. As of now, I am in very much agreement with you. Me two years ago wanted it to be a more standard FE, with about 35-40 chapters with "normal" map design. Now, I would like it to be the same as the original. The huge map sizes, the way the story is told as gameplay unfolds, the formations, is all what makes FE4 really unique among FEs. And tbh, sometimes I think people claim the game is way slower than it actually is. Especially Gen 2 where the enemy throws front after front at you. The only things I would change would be some of the geography. Chapter 2 comes to mind, and I wish there was a section where there was no cliffs on the eastern side of the map. That way, you can have your army flank Mackily Castle and its solders with a battalion coming from the South and a battalion from the West. I don't expect a high budget remake for this game since it's going to be a hard sell. It'll probably be like Echoes, which was a side project with a much more modest sales expectation. I would also give Infantry units one more additional movement upon promotion, but keep mounted units the same. The only exceptions being the characters that start as infantry and class change into mounted units. I would also consider merging 2 classes (Arch Knight and Ranger) since being locked to one weapon type after promotion is kinda meh for me. Plus, they're combined in almost every other FE game and I just want Midir, Lester, and Dimna a close range option. Also, adding in a Shining Bow would be nice if you decided to pair Aideen with Azel. I also agree that free trading is game breaking and completely invalidates the personal wallet system. I feel like free trading should only be done by characters with a reason to, if they're siblings, parent/child, and/or lovers. It makes sense for a pair of lovers to trade freely, but not two strangers. For example, it doesn't make sense for Phee to trade freely with Asaello right when you get him in Chapter 8. She doesn't know him. I don't consider them arbitrary. Your army is led by individuals with their own agendas. Nearly every person has their reason for joining Seliph's army, and it's mainly due to heading in a similar direction. However, not everyone is friends with everyone nor should they be. Historically, some battalions didn't want to share their spoils with other members of the army because they felt like they earned it more than other divisions. This was common in ancient armies because it gave the weaker battalions incentive to do better. Gameplay-wise, the money system forces you to pay attention to everyone's inventory and what they need and if they can afford it. It also gives purpose to your thief, who's designed around giving money to units who have a hard time generating it on their own. I do like the majority of your ideas, including a rescue/pair up system. Might I also suggest the battalion system from Three Houses? FE4's army is largely implied to be a much bigger scale than the game can provide. I'm also for just releasing it on VC. Although nice, shiny new graphics would be lovely, an official translation and a cleaner UI on the Switch would be enough for me. If they can do it for FE1, which is just visually hard to sit through for me, then they can definitely do it for FE4. I'm ok with Arion being playable, even if it was the last chapter. I just want to use the Gungnir at least once. As for the others, it would be a little tough to give them a niche in your army. FE4 has very little unit overlap and they'll be directly competing with other characters. Sara would fulfill a role too similar to Julia, and I believe she's meant to be a more unique character. I do believe Saias has a place though. Although there's already 2 other High Priests, Saias would be more offense-focused while the other 2 are just great staffbots.
  7. In Greek/Roman mythology, the gorgon sisters can't fly. However, once Jason cut off Medusa's head, Pegasus leapt from the freshly cut nape. So that could be the reference? Although most people often forget about that detail. The only flying "monsters" from Greek/Roman mythology I can think of are the harpies.
  8. The game and the lore surrounding it poorly explains how holy blood works. It is stated that the most direct descendant inherits major holy blood and the weapon/artifact associated with it. However, we have a couple of instances where this gets contradicted. First, Hezul's youngest daughter. Of course, Hezul could of have had his older children before receiving the dragon's blood and then had his youngest. His art makes him look a bit older, so it's a possible theory. It also explains how Chagall is his descendant yet he doesn't have any holy blood. Meanwhile, you have the curious case of Lene, where her younger brother gets major holy blood instead. Lene, by all means, should be the one to get Major Holy Blood, since she is the eldest child. However, Sylvia and Ethlyn are the only mothers who have their daughter first and their son second, so it could've been a gameplay oversight after they conceptualized the characters. 1.)He paired two Minor Lopt Blooded individuals, so he knew he would get at least one child with Major (but Julia should have major too, if Ayra x Holyn and Claud x Silvia is anything to go by). 2.)Unlikely, but still possible. Or maybe one of the rulers was a woman, but she just had a more masculine name. 3.)I don't think Manfroy really cared if the Major Lopt Blooded individual was a boy or a girl. He just wanted a vessel for Lopt. IIRC he tells Arvis to quickly conceive a child, not specifically a son.
  9. I will admit that it is a valid complaint. Although I did see a good number of comments on Reddit and YouTube complaining about how Dorothea got another alt so soon. I also saw a comment about how Tharja got one too soon, which is ridiculous imo. That's just what I saw though. But I would say the main complaint was that her base form hasn't been added in yet. It's really frustrating because they tease his existence every now and again but then go nowhere with it. It's like they're trying to lay down hints that he will return only to forget those plans. It's a shame because they really could have developed the relationship between Bruno and the Askr siblings. I mean, Heroes OC characterization has never been that great, but Bruno's case is just so much unused potential. I'm probably preaching to the choir at this point though. #FreeBruno #BringBrunoBack #woodenbowl
  10. Voted Laslow because you like Soleil and imo, she benefits greatly from having a +STR mama.
  11. I'm confused about this post. Did they make a game or reporting their Heroes roster? Because if it's the ladder, please refer to the rules about posting your roster as a thread. Your title is a little misleading, because it sounds like he made a romhack. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just confused about what this thread is trying to say.
  12. Funny how I haven't seen people complain about Veronica getting yet another alt but a ton of people complained about Dorothea getting another one. Which is weird, because Veronica isn't as popular as Dorothea to my knowledge. I mean, Dorothea should be more popular than Veronica since her characterization is not all over the place like Veronica's. Seriously, wtf is Veronica even doing at this point. The FEH OCs are always the most confusing to me. Anyways Valentines banners are always hit or miss with me because I don't like using armor characters normally. I have my armor team and I'm gonna keep them. I like Gustav and Henriette's art though, so I may pull for them and the save skills. Although I don't know how much use I'll get out of them. I usually prefer the Calvary units on this banner. Not a fan of Alfonse's art, it looks a little weird to me. But I do like his outfit. It's a bit creative, and reminds me of OG Marth. I do like the outfits in general this time around, very Greco-Roman with the exception of the duo hero. The Duo Hero is interesting too, although we just got a red tome duo hero last month. At least the unit type is different.
  13. Tbh I do wish there were more characters designed like Dorothy. Your average, run-of-the-mill people who happened to get swept up in a war. There's more male characters that can be described this way, but not too many ladies. The girl that comes close to Dorothy is Meg imo, because Meg just seems like some girl they found walking down the street (oh wait they kinda did). Mozu also has a similar appeal. But even so, Meg and Mozu were still designed with some cuteness in mind while Dorothy wasn't. Perhaps this could be its own topic, one discussing characters that were intentionally designed to be "ugly", "normal", or "beautiful".
  14. Why did you wait so long to class change her? And I'm going to say you did get RNG screwed, but to make you feel better, Bernie is not a stat monster. Her growths aren't the best and there's better characters to make bow knights out of.
  15. Yes, but I believe Warp is a good enough utility to spell make Lysithea into a Bishop instead. Meanwhile Silence is good, but more situational and not vital to LTC strats in a way that Warp is. Lysithea would fit into the c category I mentioned; she simply has better things to do. Plus, there's so many other magic classes better suited to Lysithea's strengths. I do agree with you on faith offensive spells not being great. And I also agree on them not needing to be great either, but Seraphim being the only worthwhile offensive Faith spell makes Holy Knight a weak class from the start. Also, not a fan of the holy knight armor. It looks really clunky and I feel bad for the horse. I did try Holy Knight!Lysithea in my first ever run of Three Houses and overall it felt like a downgrade to bishop. The white tomefaire was only useful when facing off the beasts in the last couple of chapters. The class was great for those particular instances, but Lysithea's the kind of character where she's always OP magic-wise, and I wished I made her something different to emphasize her Reason spell list. Live and learn I guess.
  16. I think Fire Effect rolls off the tongue a little easier. And it's initials is still FE.
  17. Tbh I think Ippei made Dorothy a little too... pretty? Because her character was not designed to be pretty. She was designed to look practical for her job and faith. But I do like Ippei's sketch of her more than her cipher cards, because the artists still made her cute and forgot the freckles. I do hope she gets into Heroes this year. It would be interesting to see how the fandom reacts to her as they have with other slightly obscure characters.
  18. Wyvern Lord is the only one that may need a nerf, and I like the ideas the Dark Holy Elf had. The only other good master classes are Bow Knight, Dark Knight, and Gremory. I do think Bow Knight and Gremory are balanced with advanced classes, with only a slight advantage for the master classes (Bow Knight having a mount and Gremory having both Reason and Faith tomefaire). Mortal Savant is the big one that needs a buff. While it is interesting, the only characters that can go into it well are mage characters, specifically Dorothea, Marianne, Lysithea, Yuri, and Constance. They need to get rid of the spd decrease, for starters. That alone would make the class more viable. I also think aesthetically-wise it doesn't fit in with the rest of the game. It's a cool outfit, but it doesn't really go with Fodlan. I would've gone with an updated version of Jugdral's Mage Fighter/War Mage class. The problem with Holy Knight is that there's no character designed to fulfill the niche it wants to fill. For a class all about offensive Faith Magic, no character can really capitalize it because they either a)have crappy MAG b)their faith spell list is more focused on healing c)they have better things to do and their spell list isn't tempting enough to dive into this class. Had there been a student whose spell list looked like this: D - Heal D+ - Nosferatu C - Seraphim B - Silence A - Aura or Abraxas then Holy Knight might actually be a good class for them. Unfortunately, no student has a completely offensive Faith spell list. It seems like they wanted Marianne to fulfill this role, but what's the point when she will be better off as a Bishop, Gremory, Dark Knight, Dark Flier, or Valkyrie.
  19. You made realize how cool it would be to have Stefan. A criminally underrated character. Did you see Soeda Ippei's drawing of Dorothy? If she gets added in Heroes, would you like for Ippei to do her art?
  20. Reading is not my strong suit. I saw voting and ran because I always miss the first day.
  21. I thought something was wrong with my Nintendo account. Glad the actual voting hasn't started yet.
  22. Lene will get half my votes, just to express interest in the character herself. As for my other votes, I may throw one to Ares, Lara, Tinny, and Zihark. Maybe Laylea too. There's just too many characters I like. I also like Linda oops.
  23. Glad the sales turned out good. Hopefully they release FE3, FE4, and FE5 soon too. And to echo the person above, MOTHER 3!
