Oh cool, you made a thread here lol. Lumi brought the zine to my attention and I was going to buy a few to help support/promote it and use as a prize in an event, I can just link to this thread instead of using the previews I was putting together myself. I might have Elieson or VincentASM do a small article on the website for you, so they may be bugging you soon!
Looks like a fun project, hope you guys are successful! If you decide to do anything else like this in the future, we're always happy to help in whatever way we can, so feel free to get in contact with us if you need any.

A cover would be fine. Copyrighted content would be if you used music directly from the game in your piece, as long as you're making everything in the submission then a cover doesn't fit into that. Otherwise fanart wouldn't even be allowed lol.

Going to be adding another prize to make up for my personal issues forcing an extension as well; a friend brought a cool community project that we could support to my attention and it seemed right up our event's alley, so I'll post about it soon!

Absolutely! Our site staff works very hard on compiling info for every game in the series, but we're a small team and are sure to miss or forget something here and there. If there's something you feel is worth submitting, send a PM or email to VincentASM and he'll more than likely add it.

Hi, welcome to SF! We have a pretty active RP community if that's what you're into. I'm no expert on it so I dunno if it's a "one-size-fits-all" type of thing or if people are specific about their RP taste, but hopefully you'll find yourself at home lol.

When games come out we have special ad windows for them with deals when clicking the link. Awakening and Fates both had them. Otherwise, the ads are targeted and you'll see what they think you'd be most interested in based on your history.
That's why when people complain about getting dating site/hentai/porn ads you know what they've been browsing a lot of recently!

Hey guys, sorry for not being around the past week - there's been a health/medical emergency in the family. I've already told my staff that I'll need some time away, and I also likely won't be able to manage the event for the due date, so we're going to have to extend it. I'll extend it by a month (March 5th) just to be safe, as I won't be able to be around. I'll allow for submissions within that time as well in case anyone needs more time or decides to enter, and maybe I'll get someone to let other communities know in case they want to.
Sorry for the inconvenience everyone, I'll respond to any questions/PMs within the next two days, as that's when I'll be heading home again.

Yup, it's quieter this year, but that's to be expected - there was a lot of attention surrounding the series last year, and our prizes were more expensive individually.
More written works than anything else submitted so far, and sadly nothing in the misc category. Will need to hold the event every 2 years or so I think.

Nope, no changes for the event. The gallery will be hosted on our website as well, so it won't impact that either.

@ missing features, a lot of the stuff from our old forum was custom and needs to be re-added. The current layout is completely default after the upgrade. Over the next week or so a lot of the features and settings we used to have will be back, and our skins as well.
It's also fairly likely that we'll be opening a Discord server to replace our IPC. We already have one set up for the staff, and there are plans to make it available to everyone. Should make talking to us a lot easier too.

A lot of stuff breaks during a big update like this; just let us know what you notice and it'll be fixed.
Edit: @Makaze, yeah, sounds like something that may need to be fixed.
For the slowness some users are experiencing, we've added new security features that no doubt need tinkering with, it's possible that's the cause of some of it. We have about 600 users online currently, which wouldn't be giving our servers any trouble.

Click your name in the top right, go to Account Settings > Notification Settings and see if any of the options there fix your issue. One of the settings is for notifying you when content you follow is updated, so unless it's bugged that sounds like what you're looking for.

The layout is the default for this version of our software, the skins break during big updates and need to be remade. The forum will look more like what we're all used to soon enough, with added features.

Probably a toss up between Horizon and DQ11. I'd say the former if only because the concept is so cool + they signed on great writers, whereas I know what I'm getting with a DQ game. 2017 can't top finally getting to play TLG though :'(.

I think I will just sit this one out and join next year. I mean, I'm not that good at drawing, Or anything, For that matter.
You could look at it as an opportunity to improve yourself, and even ask for critique while artists have their eyes on the event. Doesn't have to be about winning!
Oh boy, this gave me a wonderful idea for something I was already working on, plus inspired me to finally get around to making an account for this already wonderful site! To put it as the majority of the internet would: Dis gon be gud.

tbf I've tried posting stuff from Imgur and it gave me the same thing. Even when I rehost the thing. I have to use Postimage.
I haven't known anyone else having this problem though so it might just be a problem on mine and OP's end.
If this happens at certain times then it's because of an issue that's caused when we update the forum software, it's usually fixed within the day. If it's happening to you year-round then it sounds like an issue out of our hands or on your end for sure.
