Eh I know it's not art theft... Well actually all splices are art theft, we stole from the makers of FE XD It's just that sometimes there's some really... uptight? people online who take offense to anything said, much less done to their work. As for permission, consider it a "patch up" of your own work, in other words don't worry about credit and all that nonsense. (though if asked directly I suggest you credit just in case someone starts throwing art theft accusations at you) otherwise don't worry about it. In brief: Go for it. As for editting/recoloring you might want to change the colors (especially the eyes, since I didn't touch those)

No/minimal Cameos? What are you? God? XD *Is sick of hacks full of Out-of-Character Cameos* I'm also hoping this hack doesn't get plagued with Full-customs that don't resemble the FE style at all, even if they look great they detract from the uniformity of art making the others look crappy. Hmm I'll probably contribute a mug in the near future, though that said I'd like to ask if you (Amelia) are asking Xeld's FEditor Adv? Or if you're doing it the good old way? The reason I ask is it'll affect the image I provide (since I'd like to do my own frames as well)

Well I wasn't going to say anything unless Amelia/Enjolras stated it was accepted, but since you asked.... XD Firstly Inconsistend border, the hair border color is awkward and the 3rd hair shade keeps jutting out into it, the clothes have a different border color which is plagued with the hair-border shade. Skin shade has somehow forced itself into the hair, and there's skin pixels on the outside of the border. As for the moutstache I don't know if you customed it or copied it over from someone else but the coloring is just yuck, try an existing/someone elses moustache. /Flaming Evilness

I'd like to see a list of the characters your short on, and the class list so far. Eg Myrmidon: 3 (3) Class: Max number you'll allow (Number you currently have) Otherwise your just going to get more sword users (since everyone seems to be sword > magic > bow > Spear > Anything else > Empty socket > Axe XD) Here's a quick list of classes I can recall from FE7, will you be importing FE8 classes, or sticking to FE7 classes only? *Throws her interest in as well* I agree on the "noble" thing, the idea of having nobles in the game (Clarine/Klein) is indispensable with 7 kingdoms but I'm glad this won't be another "Heir to noble family takes on the world" type FE. I'd also like to suggest less Kingdoms, I'd rather have a few in-depth, plot related kingdoms/nations. Instead of "Hey, Bob comes from Illia,it's the only reference we'll make to Illia in game but the kingdom remains in the hack regardless." So well planned (or at least plot related) nations please. In the original post I'd also like a staff list. Something which shows the actual people working on the hack. (People who just contribute a character don't count). And while I'm ranting about characters. A common case with hacks is that people don't stick around for very long, I can guarantee that a few of the people who have said they'd like a character will not be around when you need them (for supports/character related issues etc) Since they're no longer interested in the hack, or the more frequent "lack of interest in FE as a whole" Hence for participation I'd suggest a mug/stat contribution to be a prerequisite. And that supports get worked out early on, opposed to later.

(Florina) I've seperated the eyes by an extra pixel, doing anymore made it look like he was facing forward (opposed to on an angle) I'm not sure how I could fix the eye on the third one, I've switched two pixels around but other then that can't think of a way to make it look better. Thank you for the encouragement (ShadowofChaos) Hmm, not sure why'd the left shoulder would look awkward since I haven't editted it at all. Thanks for the advice but I can't see anything wrong with it personally, hence have no idea what to change.

Hero you're my hero XD I know it's only been a bit over 24 hours but with a view count in the late 20's I was starting to wonder if my splices were of too low quality to comment on, or simply to simplistic. Anyway, Firstly I don't really have a clear image when splicing, just slapping things here and there and then pretending the end result was my aim all along. I also would prefer to stick to the style of the original games, I know many spriters go off and create these wonderful (more realistic) sprites but I lack the skill and will to follow that path. -The skin colors were... unnatural for a reason, since the character isn't supposed to be human It's pretty much a Ninian clone, get the hint? I also noticed that I'd fail to color in the border on the right properly as it still had traces of FE7's border remaining. -Err, can't see it. Was it a really minor edit or am I blind? -Pillowy I completely agree with, no idea how I didn't notice it before, left handside of the face also had an annoying crease-like mark as a result of pillowing. -There's something about the roundness that irks me, I mean it'd be ideal if it were supposed to be a "cutesy young girl" type character but as the eyes indicate that's not the objective here. So I didn't like that idea but it did make me realise that the mouth was too low, hence both the nose and the mouth were moved up a pixel to compensate for not shortening the chin. -Did a bit of pillowreshading on the neck as it was using the darkest skin tone too much. While I didn't agree with alot of your comments they were still very helpful, so thank you. Three more, something's annoying me about the middle mug, I think it might be the border being too stark

^^ Wow what a dodgy question. It's amazing how Lucifer and Dave were the only resemblances he could see though XD I might be a bit late in noticing but have the mugs in the first post been fixed up? I could have sworn there were more mugs with messy hair splicing then there is at the moment last I checked.

Hmm I'm not contributing anything atm, however it might be a good idea to indicate that all characters are mages/healers since not everyone knows about your hacking project, and appearance of characters vary greatly based on class. Also I'm not sure what your asking for, are you making a general request for characters. Spriters give you characters to use) or are you only looking for sprites/mugs? I'm inclined to believe the former but am not sure. If the former, then are the characters you've posted in your spoiler in need of a face or are they completed characters?

Surprisingly, I agree with Black Knight in regards to the Kevin mug, Probably because I'm not very fond of custom work, and the last Kevins clothes is.... empty? Quality wise it's an evolution chain, however concept wise 2nd one was best IMO, also does Kevin have a specific class or does he just like trying on various outfits? As for Andrew the 2nd/3rd ones are yuck XD Personal taste I'd go with the 1st or 4th one :/

Hmmm interesting sprites, and looking at them, I'm assuming the ones at the bottom (of the first post) were done more recently then the ones before it, there's something messy about your splices, one definete cause of such an image is the front hair (The hair that covers the forehead) Take a look at Carolyn's messy hair >_< I'd have to say Alex is my favourite out of the lot, also noticed you stop spriting/mixing hair styles as you approached the newer ones. Given up?
