What kind of team are you running? It's good to have fast attackers that just wipe enemies off the map before they have much of a chance to do anything, as clearing the map of enemies ends the fight.

Looking back at the old thread, Ryoma used to be just acceptable as a Thief baiter, but now that Skill Inheritance is a thing, neutral Fury Vantage Ryoma only takes 19 damage from a Poison Dagger, which leaves him perfectly in Vantage territory, and he does 39 damage back. That's 5 damage away from a one-shot, so it can be overcome with a Hone/Spur and Atk Seal.

Conrad's interactions and supports with Celica are kinda funny, and I like how unreliable he is when he takes off the mask, but overall, he feels really unimportant. His earlier involvement seemed to set him up for something really big, but the plot twist was so easy to figure out, and the circumstance behind was reveal was a bit anticlimactic too. Wouldn't put him as the best new character in Echoes. He wasn't that great of a unit either, so I ended up just forgetting about him.

LOL I was SP training my Kagerou, and I accidentally let her get hit by a Gwendolyn who had Drag Back, who pulled Kagerou into the range of three 2-range units. She just Vantage killed all of them and then killed Gwendolyn with the help of Moonbow and Azura.

Story wise is kinda hard. Maybe mages or Peg Knights? Flavour wise, I really like Master of Arms (you didn't put it in :[) and Archer. I like the thought of being able to use multiple weapons proficiently, adapting to the situation, and if I got to pick, I would take out Lances on MoA and put in Bows instead. Gameplay wise, probably mages. I love blasting fools up with magic, and enemies generally have low Res in all FE games, so mages tend to be awesome units.
