I wonder if they'll just say "Oops" and give SS!Selena her Japanese name. The pronunciation is (almost) the same so I personally wouldn't mind too much. Slightly off-topic, but why do you think they gave us a Sacred Stones GHB? From my understanding, SS is the black sheep of the FE family now that Gaiden's been "revived" into the spotlight (not to mention the seeming consensus here that IS hates the game). Do you think it was just a matter of "We had to do SS eventually..." or is FE8 more popular than I thought? (It was my first FE and I love it so that would make me very happy indeed :P)

I got Summer Corrin! Thanks for the tip, Ice Dragon! I wound up with a pool containing two Blues and got her with the first. I figured to also check the second Blue and got a 3* M!Robin instead, oops :P But now I can save up for the Tempest Trial (if I decide the 20% boost isn't enough), the Hero Fest and the potential Sacred Stones Banner(s*) and with this tip it'll be easier to get the Heroes I want. I only wish I'd asked this yesterday :P That's an economical way of looking at it, I suppose :P That said, IS has done an awful lot of QoS improvements since launch, even those that would theoretically lose them money (e.g. the stamina boost) to keep players happy, so it would be nice if they did this too.

So...I cracked and decided to get S!Corrin with my 100+ Orbs. I spent 100 of them (so 5 runs) and not only did a single Blue Orb only show up twice or three times, I don't even have a boosted Summoning rate anymore because at the end I got... Seliph. No offence buddy but I hate you right now. I also hate all of you who pulled S!Corrin. Especially you and your 3% pull, Silent shifter... (If we do get a SS banner after this I think I'll enter the world of whaling...) P.S. IS REALLY needs to do something about how the Summoning options don't always give you the colour you want: maybe the ability to trade crests to get the ones you want? Also, if you pay 5 Orbs and don't see the colour you want, is it better to abort after the first summon or keep going (to get the increased odds for next time, since they only rise after every fifth summon without a 5*)? Thanks in advance!

I just watched the stream again and the Free Summon is also only applicable to Banners starting on August 7th onwards. Which is a real bummer. I guess I'll have to wait to see if a SS Banner shows up, otherwise I'll probably try to get a TT Hero or S!Corrin. And then a SS Banner shows up AFTER the GHB...

Good heavens I wish we get two Banners! I doubt we will unless IS decides to promote SS for some reason. Not that I'd complain but I can't see this happening unless FE Switch is set in Magvel and we get a trailer at the same time OR we get a surprise SS remake out of nowhere. (Not that I'd complain about them either.) I agree with every single thing you said here (including the vote!) I always thought a flying dragon would be cool in FEH and she has wings in her dragon design, plus flier movement in FE8 as you say. Lyon also deserves to be a GHB (so I can be sure to get him no matter what) and I hope he's a Green Mage to complete the colour trio with the twins. I agree with the banner too. Joshua would be nice, but there are too many swords already and there are probably too many infantry healers for Natasha too. I wish Saleh could make it in! (And as everyone's already pointed out - there are nowhere near enough options in the poll!)

D'aww, those are adorable! It's hilarious how Robin is most embarrassed in both scenarios and this just reminds me of how much I'm looking forward to Corrin/ Robin Supports in FEW.

This is embarrassing. I set an alarm to go off a half-hour before the stream and got up, then thought to myself "It's still early, I can rest my eyes for a bit..." Next time I opened my eyes I figured I was a bit late, "But no biggie...I'M AN HOUR AND A HALF LATE?!" Thankfully I had the video on my phone when I went to bed so could watch it straight away without any spoilers. The Valter GHB has me hyped for more SS content, especially with Eirika being used as the second Catalogue of Heroes example (and I love that he was one of the first things announced). Speaking of which, the Catalogue of Heroes is an awesome idea! Especially since you can rewatch the Lv. 40 Cutscenes! Another Echoes TT was expected. I don't have any of the 40% Heroes (but I do have Berkut) and spent over a 100 Orbs trying to get a 40% Hero last time (and got Faye). Thankfully the main rewards (i.e. Clive and the Seals) are at lower tiers this time so hopefully I can get them without cashing out, especially with all the other confirmed and implied Banners on the way. (I suspect they'll introduce the final boss' map here and I can't wait to hear that music again :D) I hate the swimsuit banners too, but Corrin looks adorable with all the flowers and as much as I hate Camilla I really do want to get a Flying Mage, so I want to try and get her. I'm waiting until the Daily Free Summon but hopefully she comes back as part of a Voting Gauntlet Banner. If the Hero Fest is what was predicted on Reddit (and posted here), I'm going to be splurging on that too! Thank goodness for all the free Orbs headed our way! Speaking of the Daily Free Summon, I couldn't help but notice that it seems to mess up the "20 Orbs for a full 5 Summons" thing: We haven't seen what happens after you get the free Hero: does the next cost 5 or 4 Orbs? Swapping the odds of 3* and 4* Heroes is a great idea and I really hope all Focuses start at 5% from now on but I doubt it. Feh sounds adorable. The actress seemed to have difficulty maintaining a high pitch but it was rare and she can easily fix that with time. I was surprised by the lack of CYL info after all the predictions I read on here, but overall I liked this presentation a lot! ...Now gimme that Sacred Stones Focus!!!

That's true (and I should fix my post to reflect that!) I just assumed IS would keep the ability to match anyone and I felt this would be a (bit) more "realistic" way of doing it. Of course the better option would be additional Support Levels to give those mismatched couples more to talk about...

I was hyped beyond belief at the thought of Valter hinting at more SS content, and you applying logical reason just raises my expectations further. Stahp! My heart can't take this!! (On topic though, he may be slow and an utter creep but I'll be getting him nevertheless and it's hilarious how he comes with an innate counter to the twins' buffs (and also creepy given his interactions with Eirika)).

Maybe this is better suited to the "New Mechanics" thread in the FE Switch forum, but Supports and relationships are massive parts of FE (and marriages in particular are heavily debated) so I thought this might be worth a thread of its own. Apologies if I'm mistaken! This is something I've been thinking about for a while: it's nice to pair people up as you see fit (especially if children are involved and you want them to have the best possible skills and stats) but it can also be awkward to see two people with nothing in common fall in love in the same time it takes two people with everything in common to fall in love, so this is an idea I came up with. Let's assume the number of Support Conversations is the same as in Awakening and Fates: C, B, A, S. What if the threshold for each pair's marriage/ ending varied depending on who they are? To use Echoes as an example, childhood friends such as Mae and Boey would confess their feelings and be able to marry after their B Conversation, whereas a pair with "average" rapport would wed after their A conversation and characters with nothing in common would only bond enough to fall in love after all four conversations. This way you still get to play matchmaker, each pair still gets all four Supports (and thus the same number of buffs) and the romance between each pair feels more natural instead of "each of you can only fall in love after the exact same amount of effort". You could also have special cases such as Clive and Mathilda who are already betrothed, so can decide to marry straight away (in case one of them dies). (This would be more realistic with a few more Supports, e.g. E, D, C, B, A, S, where friends marry at D, comrades at B and polar opposites at S, but that would probably be far too much work.) The biggest issue would be (to use another Echoes example) making sure Mae and Boey don't get married because you ship her with Atlas*, which is why I kept saying each pair can get married. With this system marriage would need to be a manual process instead of automatic after achieving the required Support Level, but this can easily be solved. For example, if a Base/ My Castle returns it could come with a chapel by default to visit between chapters (if Mila Statues or something similar returns you could also marry in front of them). Otherwise, you could recruit a Priest (as you could a peddler and seer in FE7) to perform marriage ceremonies (on top of blessing items and being an in-universe explanation for characters' health regenerating between maps). I'd love to hear what you all think! * For the record, I don't ship these two: he's just the first name I could think of.
