  1. For the most part, yes. We do accept online published translations - well not really accept the proofreaders just paste it into the code. Untranslated ones will be translated later.
  2. I wouldn't recommend 2.0, the 2.1 patch came out because 2.0 was full of bugs that needed fixing.
  3. Nope. We're aware that some chapters are extremely similar to online subbers, however.
  4. At least have....a good knowledge of Japanese grammar and complete fluency in English. SOON™
  5. Since this chat seems dead I guess I'll just say ...we're still looking for translators. (restrictions apply)
  6. We'll try and have all the chapters done and released by the end of September, and possibly a large amount of supports may be released alongside. Progress has taken a big hit with the start of school, so it's uncertain right now. Each path is about 50% complete, with Invisible Kingdom making significant progress in the last three days. -- We're just really lacking on translating manpower right now. Amber and I have exams coming up, Shadowofchaos725 has long periods of work everyday, PotatoPower has schoolwork, and I may also be leaving the project to become a contributor for Gematsu. So, needless to say, we really need translators. Even if you're a beginner, chances are there's something for you too.
  7. I would redo the entire process. There's too many reasons you could've done something wrong, but you definitely should be able to use the patched version.
  8. Updates will break the patch, and they're required for online battles and DLC. I would refer to other forums, like GBATemp and some others, regarding how to get the update without breaking the patch, since it crosses the gray zone, and we don't like that here lol.
  9. @Codsonmaty Don't worry about it, this is a SUPPORT thread for a reason (we just get really irked at people who don't read the OP lol)
  10. We've said this many times before, but homebrew doesn't have ARM9 access, which is necessary to use the patch.Like Link said, ARM9 is necessary for any method you'd use to patch the game.
  11. Hoshido is not done, shadowofchaos725 has been very busy. If Nohr and IK are finished before Hoshido is finished, we'll finish Hoshido quickly.
  12. Regarding a more accurate answer than SOON™, progress has considerably slowed down since when we started, notably because of school starting for the majority of the group. I would expect the next patch to be delayed as we all transition into school. All 4 of the translators (PotatoPower, Shadowofchaos725, AmberdoresqueTea/shomunn, and I) are also starting to get busy and/or burn out. That being said, we could really use more translators! The proofreaders and editors are all starting to get similarly busy too. So as much as we'd like to release earlier, I'm afraid we'll be delayed... Edit: If you wanted a more content-specific answer, Nohr and Invisible Kingdom are being focused on mainly for now (though we'll release all three at the same time). A ton of supports are also finished/being worked on (I mean, there's over a thousand supports), but we're still far from finished with that. Main chapters are approaching completion still rather quickly, though.
  13. Not unless smealum does a miracle. Remember, our patch is simply just using exploits found by more advanced hackers.
  14. Just like to point out that everything we've released so far is in the op. And Ironhax/Tubehax won't let you patch the game...and how to do that is the op too. -Chapters: 0-12 H/N -Weapons: All -Items: All but not DLC -Dialogues: Whatever's in 0-12 H/N -DLC: Not gonna bother until we've finished the main story (We have a lot more stuff unreleased as of now, including tons of supports)
  15. Yes we are. Anything that's in Japanese (with the exception of movies for now) will be translated. If there's new DLC in three years, we'll do that too.
  16. Currently our patcher only works for paths on the base cartridge that you're using. Implementation for the downloaded paths may be added later, since we have to do it for Invisible Kingdom anyways.
  17. Basically, yes. We don't support NTR_CFW because it's highly unstable - a lot of users reported problems when trying to apply the patch via CFW.
  18. Um...if you're talking about like streetpass and online/local/wireless battles, no, they won't be affected. If the English translation patch hasn't messed it up, then the fanfic won't mess it up either.
  19. Unfortunately, that's just how the code is. We will probably release a full script after finishing the normal patch, but until then all I guess you could reference to are the videos :/ Here are the links for our "official" videos: Hoshido Nohr (We have not released the Invisible Kingdom files yet so there won't be videos)
  20. Probably should shit this to here. What do you mean by "connecting" ? Enabling same-sex marriage would take some changing in the standard code. Depends on if the techs in our translation group are down to figure that out.
  21. The code isn't necessarily always in order. An easy way to check, I suppose, would be to run it through SciresM's FEITS.
