I personally hate vapes, I hate smoking, but at the same time, I feel like we live in a hypocritical time where we're voting to restrict the hell out of cigarettes, but marijuana legislation is all about legalization. I'm well aware it's coming into legality under restriction, but my opinion is really hazy when the same people at the local college are both proposing to ban smoking from campus entirely and then are, as they have been in my state, the biggest pro-blaze it insufferable fools you've seen. For the record, I live in Alaska. Going back to cigs, I think that the laws we currently have are decent, at least where I live. It's also the crowds I run with, I have a few friends who smoke cigars and cigarettes, but when I'm with them I generally try to ask that they respect my requests to not breathe the smoke, and it works out alright. I'm pretty bad at this, anyone have experiences where they're unhappy?

Jedi, I've been through divorcing parents amongst other issues, so I know that feeling, and whether we like to admit it or not, it can have an impact on how we deal with other people, I know it's certainly affected me in such ways. Far as unrequited love goes, mine's more of a sap story than a sob story, I fell head over heels, acted like an awkward dunce, wound up drawing the ire of this girl, and now I'm hung up. I've been self-improving a bunch since, and then the almighty power of narcissism kicked in, and now self-betterment is something I more or less do without needing the approval of a girl, though I still wish she'd give me another go-round considering how the last time I tried (which was years ago, mind you), I wasn't very experienced or mature. So the hangup part, I get it. Just live your life in a good and healthy manner, you'll be alright. I'm in a place where trying to date would be foolish, so I'm able to relax on my issues.

Because body hair, for whatever reason (though I think folks can guess), is talked about a whole lot less, I'm mostly talking about that. Facial hair is more of something that you either can or can't grow well, from what I can tell. I personally believe either groomed facial hair or shaved is better, but part of that is again, my personal experience, and what I'm used to.

I dunno about you, but I genuinely feel like there's a generational gap on this sort of stuff, then again, I could be wrong. I know my Dad once saw a commercial when we were watching TV and it was for some shaving product (one of those light-whatever shaving things) and this dude came out talking about how he gets hair off of his chest with it, and he was like, "Is that dude supposed to be gay, or something?", like this whole idea of men shaving body hair is a new idea and has nothing to do with cleanliness, hygiene, or stuff like that. Conversely, it seems to be relatively well-accepted, at least in my social circles if nothing else, that men should at least shave off their chest hair. Personally, I take it a step further and try to shave off as much as I can, because it just seems and feels better when I cut it, because it has a more groomed look to it. That's the way I feel about it, and that's my main motivator for doing so.

Yeah, but Nexon took it down in 2013, I believe. I played it from release stateside to 2012 or so, so I'm excited that it's going to be rereleased with MUCH more content soon. The big downside and questions which seem to be unresolved are that Nexon owns Neople, so it's a real head-scratcher as to what's going on. As of today, 3/9 Neople has announced a full reveal tomorrow

That's another thing I've noticed, the use of memes that seemed to originate on chans and interchanging use everywhere else seems to grow the longer they are around. I've been a long time user of 4chan, now 8chan, and for one, the average user seems less mature now (which is probably a perspective shift more than anything else), and two, the memes over there often times are things that I see outside of 8chan, now. Am I just getting old?

I signed up in 2009, which would have made me 12 when I first joined these boards after being banned for GameFAQs multiple times, initially for trolling, later for being underage and revealing it. Coming over here both for a love of Fire Emblem and an intent to troll is like starting from Sacred Stones and going to Thracia 776 immediately after, considering the state of GameFAQs for all that time, I cringe at MANY of the foolish things I had done on the internet with an equal platform to that of others, in my idiocy and inexperience. I was a ban evader here when I first came over, for the dumbest of reasons of which I cannot fathom in the least. Hell, I first came in and I used a Wii to post everything, off of some neighbor's wifi in an apartment complex, later getting banned for trolling, only to have me ban evade and get banned permanently. I may or may not have tried to lie my way out of this, I can't remember. Over time I've grown to accept a degree of behavior neccesary to be a normal forum user (read: "Don't be an idiot"), so looking back, this choice of behavior grows more confusing. I guess time does heal everything. SO, yeah, I've been here six years.

Perhaps I could do a better job of conveying this, but you presume too much. Nonetheless, you raise a fair point, that it is perhaps trivial. I personally believe that the habits this style of speaking forms can get grating at times when it spills over into real life, however. Maybe I'm being a curmudgeon like that, however.

So Neople has announced as of the 4th this month that the closed-open beta is "right around the corner", is anyone excited? Personally, I'm crossing my fingers that it comes out within a day or two, because I'm just starting my spring break. Also, I'm split as to whether I'm going to main a Blademaster or an Avenger, right now. Hell, the Dark Knight looks like a cool class. If you're looking at this game, what class are you going to main first?

I expected this, but seriously, has this phrase been used commonly for how long, now, a decade? It's informal English, man. What's the point of repeating this phrase so often?

Well, I've been as guilty of this as others have, I'm sure, but may I get something off my chest right now? I think that the use of memes, repeated axioms of incoherent English originating from the web, image macros, and other such repeated senseless content is terrible. I dare say, why can we not speak with normal English on the web anymore? To get some sort of approval from others who understood such references? I used to be a big time proponent of memes, but in hindsight, they were senseless, unfunny, and stupid. I was a stupid kid. We all probably were dumb kids on the internet at one point. I propose we put a stop to memes, and start supporting those who seek to speak in normal English.

Yet another update: I'm figuring out more of this hacking as I go along, saving me some of the trouble of reading loads of tutorials. It's inevitable in my mind and at some point I'll have to read them for something, but right now I'm managing to figure this stuff out.
