Explosions in NYC and New Jersey - Intentional act of NOT terrorism
Water Mage replied to Life's topic in Serious Discussion
I'm not sure if this is ISIS. The methods in this explosion aren't what ISIS usually do. That being said, I wouldn't be suprised if ISIS claimed to be responsible for this, regardless if they are responsible for the explosion or not. -
ace attorney Best and Worst Ace Attorney Case ever made
Water Mage replied to Ace Pelleas's topic in General Gaming
I still think that the chances of the first DGS game getting are very slim. Not because of the localization, but because of something much more delicate. I posted this in another thread, but I post here as well. It's the review from someone in Siliconera that played the game: "The game requires an absolutely massive amount of cultural understanding. The west is not in a good place for that right now. To be frank, most of the British characters (read: all of the British characters) talk down to Ryunosuke, and talk poorly about Japan's "reverted, backwards, ancient" ways. Jurors call Ryunosuke a Black Demon, a man with a small yellow face, accuse him of using "magic of the orient" among other things. These come off as harmless jokes in Japan just fine because when you're 99.5% homegenous, race isn't a popular topic of conversation (and they love making fun of themselves - just like at Atsugiri Jason, arguably the worst thing to happen to foreigners here in years) - but in a place like America, especially with pathetic uproars over small changes in localization with games like Fates, these issues are taken very seriously and the public response is often grave. In addition, the game often comes off as incredibly anti-west, but in reality its just reflecting the very true conditions of the Meiji period. There's a problem - who cares about the Meiji period? No one, and no one can argue that it's common knowledge. It's a really fascinating period of history, but right now, people's glasses will probably bias them to seeing a part of the game that isn't necessarily there." I have to agree, the west really isn't prepared for game like this. Do you all honestly could be released in the west without creating some sort of controversy?- 212 replies

To be fair, the 6-1 isn't one of the best first cases, but 6-2 and 6-3 are amazing, especially 6-3.- 212 replies

I didn't mind her voice sounding older, mostly because we only hear during her prayer, and it makes sense for Rayfa to be using a more serious voice.Did you finish Case 3? If so what did you think it? Actually, for all of those that played SoJ, what were your opinions on Cases 2 and 3? Personally, I think they were some of the best in the series.- 212 replies

Anyway, I must say, I really liked SoJ. The writting definitively improved. And the twists in this game are very good. There are a lot, A LOT, of WTF moments in this game. And they are done rather well. It's also quite hard, much, much harder that DD.- 212 replies

I believe the battles against them will be a mix immunity and things that will be detrimental to the player. For example, UB-02 Beauty's bio says that it can charm all Pokemon, regardless of gender, so maybe, when fighting UB-02 Beauty, all of the player's Pokemon will be inflicted with the Infatuation status effect, and even switching out the Pokemon won't heal it.

It makes a lot of sense actually.I'm pretty sure only the male protagonists will appear in this special, since the female ones tend to appear on the main anime. So it's very unlikely to that the female protagonists such as Leaf and Hilda to appear in the anime. Let's be honest, the male protagonists of Pokemon are criminally underused.

For some reason, now I'm imaginng the anime now being some sort of go-to-school-save-the-world kind of thing. They go to school by day, and secretely fights Team Skull at night! Also, here are the bios for the new Ultra Beasts. They are rather short. UB-02 Expansion: "Has a body that's a deadly weapon to match its name." UB-02 Beauty: "Just like its name implies, it can use its beauty to charm all Pokémon. Regardless of gender, it can eliminate its opponent's desire to fight."

They might also be waiting to release them on Halloween, since one of the DLC maps is themed after Halloween.

So the rumor about Sun and Moon's director being the same as ORAS was true. Interesting. I did like what he did with ORAS's story. Did anyone else check all the beds and lockers in Sea Mauville? There's a suprisingly good story about Sea Mauville. And Professor Cozmo's baclstory is actually kinda heartbreaking...

Do you think people are overreactiong about Nintendo and Mobile?
Water Mage replied to The DanMan's topic in General Gaming
It's the internet, what did you expect? That people would react camly? Perhaps people are reacting badly because Nintendo is the only console creator whose sole focus is gaming. There's also the fact that some fans are pretty much acting like grumpy old men, saying things like "Back in my day we played games on consoles, not on phones!" or something similar. As someone who grew up playing Nintendo consoles, I admit, it's a weird feeling seeing these games on phones rather than on consoles. It's hard to describe. -
Speaking of Type: Null, there's something interesting that I' e noticed about it's name. Null can mean empty or lacking and it's type is Normal, which can be considered an "empty" type. Normal type are even called Coloress in the Pokemon Card Game. Could it be that there are other Type: Pokemon, of different types? Such as Water-Type: Aqua, Fairy-Type: Fae, Fire-Type: Pyros and so on. Or maybe, Type: Null can change types, like a certain legendary Pokemon... And the bio says: "To complete a certain mission, there was need of a Pokémon powerful enough to rival those Pokémon often spoken of in mythology" In other words, it was created with legedary Pokemon in mind.

I'm sensing some family drama in all of this! Kinda cool actually! And Aether Foundantion is definitively evil. Wait, does this mean that we might team up with Guzma? Type: Null is...interesting. They have my attention... And why do I get the feeling that UB-01 might not be a Pokemon at all... Oh! And the bio seems to imply that the new Dragon type might end up Dragon/Fighting.
