  1. I kind of liked the way Fire Emblem POR and Radiant Dawn felt, at least for me. The units often doubled, but I wasn't always going to kill them from this. The units had more defense, more hit points, damage was a bit lower, etc. It was actually a challenge, and unlike Awakening, I actually payed attention to the weapon triangle, and units weaknesses. Awakening was so easy with the high damage numbers and pairing up that I stopped using it, and have done 2 playthroughs now of no pairing up. I think something that might make the archers and knights more useful are more indoor/defense levels. Awakening had very few indoor areas, where Knights and archers can do great. The 4th chapter in part 4 of Radiant Dawn is one of my favorite chapters because of the map design. defend maps were fun to because they took preparation and planning in order to do it successfully, and once again knights were great with this too.
  2. How is the Lance Fighter/Holy Lancer class? Is it worth using? I plan on doing a Nohr Run with Corrin being one.
  3. I understand what you are saying, but a few characters really isn't hurting anything. They are 2 characters, and they aren't in your face with LOOK AT ME, I'M A HOMOSEXUAL, and they aren't pushing you to S support them either. My problem will come in if they make it to where everyone is essentially bi, where you can S support someone regardless of gender. At that point it goes too far, and just wouldn't make any sense. Mass Effect I think did it perfectly. There were 2 bi, 1 gay character. None of them were shoved in your face as gay, and where a completely optional choice, just like all the other options in the game. Anyway, can we move back on topic?
  4. The avatar system would remain, but heavily changed and expanded on. Everything from personality types to big changes in voice types would be made. The personality chosen would decide the dialogue and supports of the character. No more being able to support all characters. The Marriage system would stay, but heavily changed and expanded on. After you reach S rank with a character, the supports "refresh" and now you go through a relationship phase with said character before marriage. This would lead up to characters learning more about each other and get rid of the spontaneous marriage proposals. More Classes like Necromancers and Chronomancers would be new Mage types. Sentinels would return, and I would want to find a way to implement Dual Wielding. I would add in more enemies and expand on the factions. I would stay away from the Evil Deity Dragon bad guy for the next few games. I would also stay away from the saving the entire world idea aswell. The next few games would feature either more grounded bad guys like another Kingdom, or even an Empire. Either that or feature bad guys more along the lines of Vampires, Liches, Death Knights, or even going along the route of Demons and Devils. i would add in more weapons like Flails, Battle Staves, Greatswords, etc. unless the game spreads across two generations, New Magic Types with Necromancy and Chronomancy, and the return on Light Magic. Children are out.
  5. So in the support Kamui is an asshole, and Soleil has some made up problems for the support. Who wrote this? Like I said, I think most of the localization changes are going to be for the better.
  6. Pretty much. Lots of changes will be minor to make things more likeable or have less of a negative impact.
  7. Probably a lot of toning down and making some more likeable. Example being Henry in Awakening. Piere is likely to get the same treatment. Overall I actually look forward to the changes since there is a chance that they could be changes for the better in terms of dialogue and story. To be honest it was a lot of misunderstanding from translation. It was supposed to be along the lines of Soleil being into girls, but having a hard time talking to them. So MU makes an elixir to where she sees women as men, so she can talk to them easier. Long story short she ends up falling in love with MU because of it. Due to some translations and overall some people making a mountain out of a mole hill, they said it was MU pulling a Bill Cosby and drugging her. Is it a stupid support, yes, but was it what everyone made it out to be, no.Overall it was much to do about nothing. At least from what I could gather from it.
  8. Ike was my main in Brawl, and still is one in 4. Cloud has really taken the full Main slot just because, its Cloud. Though Corrin may take that slot yet again because I really like his fighting style. Really weird and unique.
  9. I would like to see Corrin stay over Lucina, just put Lucina as an alt for Marth. Ike and Marth are kind of a given to return since they are liked so much. I would like to see something other than a sword though. I thinks since a mounted unit wont work, and the Knights may be too slow, one of the Sentinels or more recent Lancers may work best. Something like Aran or Nephenee would make great characters. Then someone with an Axe. Dont know who, and since I have only played Radiant Dawn, PoR, and Awakening, I would probably say Nolan, Titania (unmounted), or Boyd.
  10. A good Fire Emblem Fighting game in the style of Dissidia would be cool. Edit: Even better, a Fire Emblem vs Final Fantasy game.
  11. Yeah, as I said in my edit, I found out Rare had handed over the rights to Nintendo once they left. Was a little confusing finding all the information, since there wasn't a single article on it, only wiki's.
  12. Donkey Kong Country, the first game he appeared in, was developed by Rare. Out of all of the Donkey Kong Characters, he definitely belongs to Rare. Last time I checked, the majority of the extended DK cast from the Donkey Kong Country games belongs to Rare, unless that has changed recently and they went back to Nintendo for whatever reason. I mean, even Donkey Kong Country Returns and the recent one in 2014 didn't have K Rool or Dixie Kong, or any other previous Country game characters appear. Its unfortunate, its a lot like the whole Marvel X men, Spider-man, Fantastic Four problem, but unfortunately the characters as far as I know belong to Rare. edit: I did see something that said that Rare handed over Donkey Kong to Nintendo when they left. Wikepedia, while not the most credible source, has listed that Rare handed over all the rights to the Donkey Kong universe to Nintendo when they left. It also shows on the side where it says what companies had control of them, with Nintendo being the current owner.
  13. I just recently got into Abine so I am a little behind the curve. I still watch the dubs due to the fact that sometimes I just listen to the anime while doing something else. I am currently watching Arslan, Fairy Tail, was watching Is this a zombie, and now Spice and Wolf. I really enjoy the economic, trading talk in Spice and Wolf, and was the reason I continued watching the show. I also watched Toradora recently and finished that. Is this a zombie was a little weird, but I liked the parody like humor to it. Fairy Tail is just fun to watch because of the characters, and I like the more serious tone to Arslan, probably why I like spice and wolf so much too. Also tried PASWG, which was just too much. It was funny at times, but it tried too hard with some of its humor.
  14. The boss in Dark Souls 2 in the lava area. Can't remember his name but he is this big demon that looks all menacing at first and you are expecting a hard fight. Then he doesn't even get on the platform and is super slow. Just wait for him to punch, hit him a good 3 times, and repeat. Even his big flame attack is slow enough to just run away from. The holes in the floor are more dangerous.
  15. Fire Emblem Fates, Mass Effect 4, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, the possible Final Fantasy 7 remake since it is being done in parts. Most of all though is The possibility of Cyberpunk 2077. I really like the cyberpunk genre, and to see its namesake tabletop game finally get a video game adaptation made, by people who absolutely loved the original to begin with, is awesome.
  16. Unfortunately with K Rool I think the problem is that since he belongs to Rare, and now Rare belongs to Microsoft, there was more licensing and other technical issues with getting him in. To be honest I'm not expecting much more for DK to make it into any further smash as long as Rare is with Microsoft. Same problem with some of the other third party. Speaking of how much Sakurai was working on Smash, it was likely easier to choose a new Nintendo character, like Corrin, than work through legal issues for 3rd party, since they already had both Bayonetta and Cloud being put in.
  17. When he says balance I think he means in terms of content. He said before that statement that the other fire emblems felt as if they were missing something. so when he says balanced he is meaning more like a good balance between gameplay features and story, and not in terms of reclass, skills, etc. to be honest he sounds more like the type of player, like myself, that really doesn't care a whole lot about the best skills, pairings for stats, and all the optimimazation min/max stuff.
  18. Thanks everyone. Got her down to 2 Auras when Miciah died. Going to try again later but the advice really helped. Thanks.
  19. Ok thanks both of you. I noticed the floors, but it seemed to not do anything. Going to try it again to make sure. I don't really like letting anyone die so. Thanks for the guide. So if I move Kurth, Ena, and Gareth on the edge of the map for the single target attack they should be fine?
  20. Alright so I made it to the final boss. I played through Path of Radiance, transfered data over, and used the characters that received stat boosts, weapon skills, etc from the previous game. I made it through the tower pretty easily. The 3rd floor took a while, but no losses. My problem is with the End Fight. Spoiler warning for anyone who hasn't gotten this far. Alright. My team is The forced characters (obvious) Sothe, lvl 10, Peshkatz or whatever its called. Miciah, lvl 10, unfortunately equipped with Nosferatu since her skill wasnt high enough for the SS level weapons, and two physics staves. Sanaki, lvl 8, Cymbaline Ike, lvl 20, Ragnell Kurthnaga Ena Gareth Nasir Bastian, lvl 15, Rexcalibur Volke, lvl 20, Baselard Stefan, lvl 18, Tempest Sword Mia, lvl 16, Alondite Rhys, lvl 9, 2 physic staves, the staff from the chest in Rebirth 1, Matrona staff, and two of the staves that max heal Aran, lvl 19, Wishblade Haar, lvl 18, Urvan Rafiel, lvl 28, stocked with healing items and laguz items. Keiran, lvl 20, Forged Silver Axe Shinon, lvl 20, Double Bow Gatrie, lvl 18, Forged Silver Lance As I said I wasn't having a huge problem until the fight. I got through the rest fairly easily, with the 3rd fight taking the longest, but only around 15 or so rounds. My problem with the end fight is I don't have enough Nihil for everyone, and while everyone survives the AoE judge strike, the single target one tears me apart. She always targets Haar, Gareth, or Gatrie. Pretty much the people with the lowest Res. So I took Haar and Gatrie out of the fight. After that she started targeting Kurth and Ena, both of them dropped. I unfortunately have to leave Ena and Gareth in for Blood Pool, and Nasir for White Pool because with that Ike can nearly kill an aura in one round, but I am having a huge problem with the single target attack. Are there any tips for getting through this? I have Nihil on Ike, Nasir, Stefan, and Shinon since they do the most damage in one round.
  21. okay thanks. I know they haven't put out any new doc or anything for a few months, but have they said they are done with new content or are they just waiting for the release in the rest of the world?
  22. I know this was likely asked already, but I don't feel like searching through 99 pages for this question. I know Hoshido is much more like awakening in terms of grinding and ease. But the one thing I really enjoyed about awakening was the fact that there was more to do once the game ended. DLC, spot pass, etc. what are conquest and revelation like with this? Do they just end? Is there at least a lot to do outside main battles, if not how much replay ability is there. Also how does this affect multiplayer? Do Hoshido players get an outright advantage with grinding or is it more equal and balanced? Finally can I choose a Hoshido/Nohr class for mu as the secondary class. As in if I wanted to be a Lancer or weapons master on Nohr side.
  23. I would also like to see, but will likely never happen, a Blizzard rep. It's not like they don't have any connections with Nintendo since their first few games were on either NES or SNES. So you can kind of day Nintendo have them their start. It would most likely be a Warcraft rep though something like Arthas/Illidan or maybe Tyrael from Diablo or something. With cloud getting in and now bayonetta their chance does go higher. But likely will never happen.
  24. Im kind of looking forward to the DLC, I don't know if the released them all overseas yet, but I really liked Awakening's DLC. I thought it expanded on the endgame and added more fun and challenging things to do like the future past DLC, Apotheosis, etc. Hoping that is the way Fates DLC will be, and I don't consider Revelations DLC, its pretty much its own game like the other two routes.
  25. Bastian from Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn was one of the only mages I used besides Calil. They both worked great for me, but everyone else hated them. Everyone talks about how bad Donnel is in Awakening, but he was almost better than MU when he got up to the same level. Units that sucked for me were Titania and Stahl. Titania would be good in the beginning, but towards the second half of both games her usefulness starts to dwindle. Stahl just all around was an OK unit. He would do just fine until some of the heavier units showed up. He eventually took a backseat as one of the only characters I used the pair up system with for another character.
