  1. Mine has Pavise, Axefaire, Axebreaker, Bowbreaker, and Lifetaker if any of those interest you 15072-33055 24388-68910
  2. Allowing players to circumvent the game's rules for the sake of convenience sets bad precedent and reflects poorly on the community. There's little point to the rest of us listing our resources if we get people coming in saying they have all of them. It's online-safe for now, that doesn't mean it always will be. Personally I would rather the playing field here be kept level and fair.
  3. Lately I've been biting my tongue with regards to 1st Gen Aptitude, but I think we really ought to drawn a line with such blatantly hacked castles like this one...
  4. Maybe if the enemies weren't actively running away from the starting point the whole time it would be decent. Skirmishes on the second-to-last chapter map will always be a more efficient training ground for Birthright and Revelations players.
  5. I have since been able to test and can confirm that Inspiring Song cannot be passed down. Thanks for bumping this folks.
  6. I have a Saizo with Replicate now. Castle Address in my signature.
  7. Captured a generic Troubadour enemy on account of them being quite rare (and cute), but otherwise I'm saving the bosses for when I play Lunatic for the better skills they'll have.
  8. My castle has since been changed to a skill shop. Now that I'm at a point where I can start grinding up character skills on my own, I'm looking to change it up each day, so hopefully I'll have something new for each visit. =) Resources are Quartz/Emerald/Peach/Wheat
  9. Character statues, and their construction. It's bad enough they require so many kills to upgrade to gold level, but requiring a total of 12 Dragon Vein points as well? Something so important to post-game play should not have to be so tedious and time consuming. Makes me miss Limit Breaker from Awakening, and I never thought I'd say that.
  10. Only thing I would recommend is taking out the Dusk Dragon Statue; not that it makes it more difficult, just more time-consuming than it needs to be thanks to having to mash through damage and auto-heals every turn.
  11. I'm not sure on the calling cards; my assumption is that the "times met" count only goes up with streetpass interactions, not the usual online visits. I've made bond units with several players I have cards of in my Japanese copy, and all of them are stuck at 0. Just keeping giving accessories to your calling card players and you'll get a bond unit eventually. How my games update is the same across both versions, yes. Apparently Japanese players were having the same issue we have with feedback updating, which is how I stumbled upon the method to help it along.
  12. Close your 3DS while it's still on the game for about 5 minutes or so, then win a battle. Whether it's a MyCastle battle or skirmish doesn't matter. Following the victory your feedback, accessory, and visit information will be updated. I couldn't tell you why it works like that, but that's what I've had to do even in the Japanese game.
  13. ^ Seriously folks, please stop spreading this around lol
  14. I knew about the Warp scroll, though for some reason I thought the other Witch skills had scrolls as well. Thanks for pointing out otherwise.
  15. Amber and Rice. It's a one-turn clear castle, so stop by if you need some easy Dragon Vein points.
  16. With Fates finally being released in North America, I thought now would be a good time to post the list of class skills that cannot be obtained by legitimate means. Normally this wouldn't matter to players who don't involve themselves with cheating devices, but now with the MyCastle feature allowing players to buy skills off others online, it opens up the possibility of people unwittingly getting illegitimate skills for their characters. As such, I've compiled a list of such skills, taken from my own experience and various Japanese sources. I would have waited a little bit before posting this to give me time to clean up the format/wording, but as I type this Aptitude is already making the rounds online. =[ To be clear, "1st Gen" refers to all parent or otherwise non-child characters. "2nd Gen" refers to those child characters, produced through an S-support of two 1st Gen characters. Illegitimate skills (Class) Aptitude and Underdog impossible on all 1st Gen units EXCEPT Mozu. Available to all 2nd Gen units EXCEPT Shigure. Luck +4, Inspiring Song, Voice of Peace, and Foreign Princess impossible on all 1st Gen units EXCEPT Azure. Inspiring Song impossible on all 2nd Gen units. Even Handed and Even Better impossible on all 1st Gen units EXCEPT Kaden. Impossible on all 2nd Gen units EXCEPT Selkie, Shigure, Kana (M), and Kana (F). Odd Shaped and Better Odds impossible on all 1st Gen units EXCEPT Keaton. Impossible on all 2nd Gen units EXCEPT Velouria, Shigure, Kana (M), and Kana (F). Beastbane and Grisly Wound impossible on all 1st Gen units EXCEPT Keaton and Kaden. Impossible on all 2nd Gen units EXCEPT Velouria, Shigure, Selkie, Kana (M), and Kana (F). Nobility, Dragon Fang, Draconic Hex, Dragon Ward, Nohrian Trust, and Hoshidan Unity impossible on all 1st Gen units EXCEPT Corrin. No restrictions on 2nd Gen. Demoiselle impossible on all 1st Gen male units. Gentilhomme impossible on all 1st Gen female units. (DLC) Dancing Blade, and Dual Guarder impossible on all female units. Dual Striker and Awakening impossible on all male units. Tactical Advice, Solidarity, Ignis, and Rally Spectrum impossible on all female units. Survey, Opportunity Shot, Rifled Barrel, and Surefooted impossible on all female units. Shadowgift, Witch's Brew, and Toxic Brew impossible on all male units. Captured, Bond, Amiibo, Cipher, and Einenjahr units are limited to their default class line and DLC skills. DLC skills cannot be purchased or inherited; they are listed here only for completion's sake. Please let me know if there are any errors. Here's the google document I checked this info on (Japanese): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19U_Bucu3IKzFliRdoQv9XH-u96-7p7X-nQ2RRUX1ttc/edit#gid=794076878
  17. Prf weapons fall under the blanket of "personal skills and traits". Corrin and their child are going to be polarizing units in just about any meta that we conceive. There isn't much one can do about that, nor do I think it's necessary. In regards to generation balance, the idea is that the 1st generation units have arguably better personals and a couple have powerful Prf weapons, creating incentive to use them more and to at the very least tighten the viability gap between the 1st and 2nd generations. Whether or not such a thing would actually happen remains to be seen. In any case I am far less concerned about character and generational diversity than I am about playstyle and elimination of luck factors.
  18. Not really a fan of any kind of complex rule set involving things such as "only two units with x skill on a team", or "no forges above y level". I'm open to experimentation, but ultimately in a game that isn't going to have a large player pool we should strive for simplicity. One rule set I think is worth considering is "no class skills", with no other rules besides that. I feel that removing only the DLC skills doesn't do much to solve any of the game's perceived problems, such as complete lack of balance between characters and classes and hyper-offense being the only viable play style, among other things. In an environment with no class skills, characters have to rely purely on their personal skills and traits. While these are important in vanilla play (turns some characters broken in fact), in most cases they matter far less than optimized skill sets slapped on the units with the highest caps. Most of the luck elements through skills would be gone; nobody gets cheaped out by Miracle or Lethality shenanigans. In theory (I have not gotten a chance to actually to play a "no class skills" game yet), such a rule could open up for more diversity in the characters people use, as well as hopefully playstyles. It would be interesting to see if a defensive style could work in such a metagame. It's not perfect by any means, and will likely cause its own set of issues (most of the above is just theory, after all), but I think it's worth trying out as a simple, easy to understand alternative to the vanilla game.
  19. Since I have already played the Japanese version extensively, I'm mostly looking forward to doing another post-game playthrough following the release of Revelations. I have all the pairings and buddy supports planned out (including the 2nd generation), having learned from my mistakes and experimentation with the JP game.
  20. I'll be going with a standard one unit, one turn clear set-up on my castle team for the purpose of grinding battle renown for both myself and anyone who visits. Once I get the last reward at 9999, I may turn it into a castle where players can buy rare skills.
  21. She was quite common in the months following release. Lately I've only been using the feature to grind renown, so perhaps things have changed. The castles on the top visitor ranks ought to still have some.
