  1. Also - and I haven't really read too much into this or seen it myself since I always immediately reset when a unit dies - don't all non-royal characters besides Subaki and Silas (since they always show up in the Paralogues) actually die if you let them get defeated instead of just being permanently benched? Or at least some of them? Then again, with what Rofl said in the spoiler, I somehow doubt it would be consistently reflected anyway.
  2. I honestly don't think I can stop; I've been calling them Corn-bread and Corn on the Cob so often that it's an instinct.
  3. Kain and Able are my favorites in this...
  4. You go to their castle, explore, buy from their shops, create bond units, and other things. Or you can invite them to your castle to do the same things. Both are parley. And to the previous question, I believe both get the bond unit, though the bond unit is different for both players (same looks but different stats, I think). I haven't done it personally, but I recall two people talking about their bond units.
  5. Really, the supports I hate most are the ones that don't have a reasonable progression. For example, Soleil x Ophelia A support shouldn't even be possible after Soleil x Ophelia B support. And I have a personal vendetta against the any of the stalker supports that could end in romance because my sister was actually stalked by this Wal-Mart samurai type guy who was scuzzy as hell for about a year or so. Aside from that, I can't really think of many that I've witnessed that are terrible enough for me to make note of.
  6. I want to see more of these kinds of pictures. Like, have Camilla and Hinoka as each other's classes and try to convince Corrin that the "other" sister loves him/her more than they do.
  7. You know the worst thing is, I've never played any of Persona or followed any of the Persona news (most I've seen is a little vid of a streamer mocking the game; don't even remember which one it was), yet I'm pretty damn sure I've heard of this before.
  8. Yeah, among FE fans who like the most recent games, it's used jokingly. For those who dislike the most recent games, it's supposed to be demeaning, I believe. I think it's alright; the romance in this game is definitely better than lots of games that are oriented towards that sort of stuff. Then again, I tend to be irked by heavy-handed/extremely flowery romance, so the more modest it is, the better. Of course, I've barely scratched the surface as far as marriage options go, so how do I know there isn't some overly cheesy love scene? As far as a "waifu" or "husbandu" for me? If I were to officially pair Corn-bread with anyone, it'd have to be the corn-sexuals, because I don't like robbin' others of a chance at love. That pretty much limits me to the women only, 'cuz all the men except maybe Izana are way too old. That being said, I've also paired Corn-on-the-cob with Oboro and Female Donnel Mozu, the former because I like her and the latter because of the aptitude skill. Also tried Rhajat and didn't like it. But in all honesty, I just don't care. I just like seeing the supports and learning how all these characters interact with one another.
  9. I think I've already commented on how ridiculously funny some characters laughing at death is somewhere on this board. This comic applies pretty well to all the maniacal laughers... which I think is actually most of the women and some of the guys, if I recall. It's seriously messed up just how much enjoyment they get from killing other people.
  10. I decided to make this... For my O.G., Owain Odin Dark. [spoiler=Odin Dark Knows No Fear] Based off of a meme of a god for which Mister Dark named himself after.
  11. (I'm a bit late on this; I was busy with yard work and celebrating Mother's Day) Wow, what a spirited performance! It's clear that Ms. Strober is happier, and I think that her video drives home that point. Only someone who is in a pleasant mood could be so animated in their singing and sing in such a spirited way. And because of that, her singing sounds all the more gorgeous.
  12. It's probably not worth it unless A) you're anticipating difficult future DLC (like the Apotheosis maps for Awakening) or B) you want future campaigns to gain almost immediate access to a super dodgy and accurate unit. Reason being is that you'll most likely never get all those skills until you hit the last few chapters unless you grind for a very long time. And I think to do what you're proposing to do, you'll need DLC grinding maps unless you plan your run very carefully and use money stringently.
  13. Well, I don't know if my word alone can prove something or convince anyone of anything, but I never got on the hate wagon, so I don't have any poisoned words to regret. I was actually surprised to learn that Strober's performance received a negative backlash initially. I thought her singing was quite soothing, and fit well with the tone of the game's story, so I didn't understand what there was to hate.
  14. Well, I think it comes down to how you interpret the characters. I choose to always try to see the good side of the heroes in video games, so I naturally found humor in him, and maybe I learned a thing or two from him. But some people are more realistic in their reactions. I think if I met Azama in real life, I'd think of him as one of those dirtbag hipsters who think they're more "enlightened" than others by taking an "absurdist" approach in life. On a philosophical level, I might say I'm also absurdist, but I don't feel the need to be snarky with everyone I encounter. Many people instinctively reel against a character who insults their intelligence. It's different strokes for different folks, I say. Also, I haven't been chatting with Fates fans for too long, but Setsuna's well hated? I can understand the hate for a character like Azama or Soliel, but where does the hate for Setsuna come from?
  15. I love "Eldritch Smackdown!" You're not a wrestler suplexing the Undertaker, Odin; you're a dark mage who's supposed to serve a Nohrian royal with grace and dignity. Why are you still making up names for your attacks? xD Though if you did pick up a career as a wrestler, you'd beat out the very best of WWE.
  16. This thread is absolutely heart-warming. Nothing but positivity delivered to a person who was treated so unfairly. I loved Mizz Strober's performance in the game, and it actually makes me curious of the other works people say she's worked on. And you can bet I'll be among the people in this tread watching that video, Rena. I'm sure it'll be lovely.
  17. This is nice and all, but that topic title looks like click-bait garbage. Next thing we know, we'll get "Top 10 reasons Azama is a better character than Xander" or something along those lines.
  18. That is indeed a surprise. I guess "Ohhh yes~" is now qualified to become a high-quality memery.
  19. Ho boy, here's a wall of text... (keep Friendship seals in mind, too; I'll be judging merely off of growth rates, and assume that you'll average expected levels) If you want to know why I have an obsession with Kinshi Knights, it's because they have a huge one-up on all other fliers. Regardless of whether or not you keep some of your units as Kinshi, you'll still get Air Superiority, which is useful against air ambushes, which often happen unexpectedly. But they get to use bows, so they're the most effective units for taking down other fliers.
  20. I always laugh whenever a character laughs getting a crit/after they killed their enemy. It's like, "Yes, death is a silly thing, isn't it?" Especially Peri's child-like giggle or Hana's goofy laugh. They're right up there with that sound Mozu makes when she's happy that sounds like a mix between an over-the-top gasp and a cheer (she makes this sound when you win a silver prize in the lottery while she's manning the machine). Anyway, the answer to today's poll... there's no contest. We all know which one's the best.
  21. Jokes on him, 'cuz I just charged at him right away.
  22. I'm pretty sure "We've got trouble" refers to Felicia, since that's a thing she says sometimes.
  23. Beaten to death by books and scrolls; a truly tragic end to an army.
