  1. As others have said, whilst I'm not saying there aren't a decent amount of games on the system, there still aren't that many high profile/AAA games on the system for it to be hard for a Fire Emblem game, which have blown up in the past few titles, to make the top twenty. If it was the top ten, I'd be a little more impressed. Fire Emblem isn't as niche as it used to be.
  2. So, this morning I joined team Lissa, did a battle, which raised me to 5 orbs. Immediately afterwards I do a solo summon and pulled Azura... I'm not annoyed or anything, I just find that amusing.
  3. So, other than the free summon, this was my first summon on the Gunnthrá banner with orbs... +HP/-ATK, but either way, I guess I can't really be salty about the Christmas banner anymore... ^_^;
  4. You know what I just realised? I think this might be the first gauntlet where over half of the units in it aren't even in a focus banner for it... or even available to summon during it. Just further kills my drive for it.
  5. Maybe I'd think differently if I actually drew something during the Christmas banner, but I wish they'd not do a VG where all of the units are time limited units, only just released... Oh wait, there's Ryoma... who I have, but don't really care about at all, and is probably my least favourite of the bunch. Anyway, time for Tharja's third win!
  6. "Sir! This salt mine is going to explode! We've got to get out of here!" "Run, lad. I'll go warn the others." "But, sir!" "I said go!" So... the last time I spent money on this game was during the spring banner, to get Camilla. I spent far too much, and, in my hundreds of orbs, didn't get her. But it wasn't entirely bad, as I did get some unit that, in hindsight, I was reasonably satisfied with. This time, with £30 I was gifted, I didn't feel as bad spending it on orbs, since I consider gifted money, money that I don't necessarily need to save. So... It doesn't bother me that I didn't get anything from the 48 orbs £30 would give me. What bothers me is continually rolling on a seasonal banner from start to finish, using all the orbs you earn during that time on it, and getting nothing... Oh salt... How I've missed thee. It bothers me more because I was rolling reds for Tharja. I now wish I rolled for Lissa instead, because at least I could have had the secondary goal of summoning Beruka. Oh, but don't worry, I got a couple of the original Tharja, though in glorious four stars... The only other gacha game I've played is a rhythm game (Love Live! School Idol Festival) and in that, if you spend 50 of your summoning currency to summon 11 idols, rather than spending 5 of it to summon one at a time, you get a guaranteed SR, and I wish this game implemented in one way or another. Oh, wait... Sorry. I forgot. I didn't get nothing. Near the start of the Christmas banner I got a Marth... Yay... One terrible Marth during the entire banner. Orbs earned through maxed out TT rewards? Nothing. Fun times. And so the salt mine explosion settled down.
  7. Who's the best tactician? by Kaprikume on DeviantArt
  8. My HP Goddess who watches over her followers is Beruka, with 60. Her faithful followers, skilled in their own right, but unable to reach the heights of their leader, is Adult Tiki at 48, and Sheena at 46. My Attacking General is Princess Minerva, at 56. Few choose to follow Brave little Roy's orders, instead, with 55, causing some friction in the army. And even fewer choose to follow Tiki's orders on attacking, instead, but only when she's wearing a swimsuit, for some bizarre reason. Caeda is the master of speed in the army. Although, many wonder how she can be so agile whilst fighting in a wedding dress, and with a bouquet as her weapon of choice, no less. This understandably frustrates Lyn, with 38 speed, who rides around dignified with her horse and bow in hand. Yet she has resigned herself to second in command, when it comes to speed. Catria and Tharja, however, both continue to come to blows over who comes next in the line of command, both sitting at 37 speed. Goddess in HP and a Goddess in defence, with 47 defence Beruka takes the lead in defensive tactics, too. Few can wear her or her wyvern down in a battle. Not even the next best defensive soldier in the army, Sheena, clad in full armour, with 37 defence. Though they frequently fight together as equals in the army's best squad, Catria, with 36 defence follows Beruka when it comes to the art of defence. Seeing her retainer bloom into a beast of a tank, Princess Camilla has taken up the reigns as the captain of resistance in the army, to be a magical tank. With 35, and also "convincing" Hector to teach her the art of Distant Counter, she is not one for mages to take lightly. As a loving captain, her lieutenants Fjorm and Sheena, both at 33, have no complaints following her orders. Predictably, Beruka is unmatched in the entire army, with a rating of 211. Catria sits at an impressive 193, recognising she's not at the level of Beruka, but respecting her for her skill. Sheena comes in next, with 184, but she sits in this position with confusion, because she's tied with Robin, but only when Robin chooses to put on a swimsuit, and use a harpoon as her primary weapon.
  9. Yay... Masked Marth... Couldn't have given us another Awakening character like, oh, I don't know... MARIBELLE?! Give me my dire damsel already IS, damn it! :'( Le sigh... I'll still get the rewards from it, though, and put "Marth" through the feather grinder, because that's the only use I'll get from that unit.
  10. A perfect run. And now to watch that rank fall. :D
  11. I've only played the 3ds games (don't shoot me!) and it's my favourite of the bunch. It definitely has it's problems for sure, but it just has more of what I want from a game. For various reasons the others just don't have that much replayability for me; Fates due to how a certain Lord just kills my drive to play the game again; and Echoes because despite it's amazing story, I don't see any reason to play it over again. At least not any time soon.
  12. Eh, the word is so overused now that it's just a meme that's lost all meaning. The only thing people consider when using it is the character's appearance, and it's annoying. Hell, I've run into so many people who think that all there is to Tharja's character is being an abusive, stalkery piece of fanservice, and refuse to acknowledge the many supports in her favour.
  13. Guys... Gamefaqs is a "special" place best stayed away from. Especially the Fire Emblem community on it.
  14. What I'm mostly confused about is how people can be disappointed in this being an Awakening banner when we knew since ago that at least two of the units would be from Awakening.
  15. Firstly, thanks! :D Secondly, you raise some good points. It's just a shame I've run out of Pallas for Goad Fliers, and that QR is 5* exclusive. But once I get the skills, I'll be sure to tweak the team.
  16. Team Air Superiority 2.0 Why does Camilla have a Carrot Axe, you ask? Because she's an elegant princess who uses only the most refined of weapons. Why does Catria have a Carrot Lance, you ask? Because only the finest of weapons can be used by the best Whitewing. Why have I removed Nowi, a good red flier, for Camilla, a third green flier in the team? Because surely Camilla's retainer, the best assassin ever, will perform better with some morale support from her loving employer... Beruka is still the squad leader, of course. I just love the idea of this team, and the only reason I didn't do it earlier was because of the limited triangle coverage. But since I don't care about that anymore (or at least don't think it's too much of a burden on this team)... Team Air Superiority 2.0! And now for just one more Beruka to come home...
  17. Ah... the post-gauntlet discussions... Let's go... Tharja consistently had a higher score gain during non-multiplier moments. Why the legitimacy of her victory needs to be called into question, anyway, is beyond me... On the subject of previous gauntlets, it's pretty out there to believe a certain underdog would have won without multipliers. And it's also a... strange system when the notifications still refer to it as a popularity contest, when we all know it's ceased to be such. Some people find the system to be more engaging. Others find it to be stupid. I fall in the latter camp. It's not a game mode without its myriad of problems, but people enjoy it, and I can accept that. Doesn't mean I can't find the game mode stupid. People were also fine with the pure popularity aspect of the first gauntlets, but because we only hear of the people who hated how overwhelmingly victorious the victors were, people think that that's the only opinion everyone had on it, so that the new system must automatically be considered an improvement. I consider the new system to be completely arbitrary, and seeming to create even more salt when it works as intended by creating an upset. But when people hate the idea of a popular character winning what is technically a popularity contest (even if not in practice) then it's hard to take the mode seriously. It's pretty much just a feather farm for a lot of people now.
  18. Well, there goes my doubts about whether I should have put her as my main unit or not. Good to know she helped well. :D
  19. To add one more unit I want in the game, even only slightly less than Maribelle and Nyx, I'd want Orochi. I'd like to think if either Nyx or Orochi joined the game, they'd be on the same banner, as notable mages from their respective Fates games.
  20. I can't tell people not to be salty, as I still remember how much I hated Corrin's win, and it would be slightly hypocritical. But as glad as I am that Tharja won, I half wish she didn't because I am not looking forward to the response from this game's community... Well, besides some good fanart that doesn't depict her as a villain. Anyway, time to unsubscribe from the reddit for a while. Serenes Forest should be fine, as Gauntlet talk is pretty much kept in one place.
  21. Twintails seems to be the norm in the anime community at least. Irl I've only heard pigtails.
  22. I spent mine throughout the day, and had about 750-ish saved for better multipliers. I just spent 100 on the last hour, and will spend the final 600 in Tharja's next multiplier.
  23. I've said this before, but just take out the flags. Make the scores about performance like the arena. Have the overall score of the team be the average. It takes out popularity. It takes out the arbitrariness of the multiplier. You can still have the community feel by having one friend unit, and one random. And it should (but probably wouldn't) take out the toxicity directed to popular characters since it wouldn't be a popularity contest. Consequently, you could have less popular characters have a perfectly good chance of winning without any funny business. Anyway, I can talk about how terrible I find the current system till I'm blue in the face, but there's no real point.
