  1. Oh. I legit missed a 99% once. I know no one is going to believe me, but I did. I think I also get hit by two attacks (Cause, y'know, Attack Stance) around 30% pretty often. And... miss two 60ishs beforehand on the same turn. I do firmly remember this happening in an Arena battle. 1 stat growths. Like, extremely often, no matter what game, even Awakening with it's inflated growths. It's why I basically benched Hector and Eliwood in my HNM run. I've gotten hit by a few ~2% crits. Not too many, just a few. The RNG of Fire Emblem honestly hates me. It doesn't matter what game, what... anything, I always seem to get 1 stat levels, hit by low percentages etc. I know it's part of Fire Emblem, and it's part of the reason I love the series, but it still does get on my nerves when it ALWAYS happens.
  2. Monk and Bishop, because I feel Light Magic, while meh, is pretty important to the series. I get why it wasn't in Awakening, since FE 1/3/11/12 didn't have a split magic system, but why not Fates? Dark Magic for Nohr, Light Magic for Hoshido, and Anima goes to both, it makes sense, right? Nomad, because they're better than Archers. And I miss Rath, Shin and Sue... On a different topic, I wonder if they'll break up Anima Magic or Cavaliers ever again. Or bring back Dismount. Or give Swords back to Falcon Knights. Or bring back Canto. Or... idk Movement Stars? PCC? Thracia capture? More than one type if Magic Sword? Uh... Wrath? Uh... OH! How about the story not being garbage? That's a good one, right? Sorry, that kind of dissolved into madness there. I've been reading too much Hamlet. Not be choice though, but because English class.
  3. Jesus, I just laughed my ass off for like a minute straight. Watched it with a friend, we actually were talking about the matter as it loaded.
  4. I have a +4 Bronze Katana on (what was) my Great Lord (Now Swordmaster) Oboro named Fashionista. Now it's kind of an inside joke between my friend and I and I'll no doubt have a +7 Silver Sword named after it. I also have +2 Sunrise Katana named the RNG Blade. Seriously, I love the Sunrise Katana. It's my second favorite Sword in FE besides Sol/Solar Sword from Thracia/Awakening. Finally, a Ryoma's Club named Rinkah's Club, because I forgot that already existed.
  5. Ditto. I'm glad that the localization team put effort to do what that did, but he's still an absolute ass and I honestly and wholeheartedly hate him. I can understand why people like him, everyone has their own opinions and tastes, and objectively he's not an awful character, but he REALLY just gets on my nerves. That's hard to do, especially for a video game character.
  6. I like the challenge honestly. I actually don't find Conquest to be too challenging after Ch 10 and before Ch 20. I think I'll choose pairings, then choose classes based on Partner and Friendship seals (And DLC). Since this is Conquest, Dread Fighters will be limited to 2, Lodestars to 1 and Great Lords to 1. EDIT: I'll alternate between male and female, ignoring children until the end. Classes: Lorens: Sorcerer (A Support Nyx) Jakob: Malig Knight (S Support Beruka) Camilla: Paladin (S Support Silas) Silas: (Very limited because ^ ) Lodestar (Hero's Brand) Charlotte: Sorcerer (She has a 0% personal Magic growth btw...) (A Support Nyx) Arthur: Butler OF JUSTICE (S Support Elise) Mozu: Adventurer (S Support Niles) Izana: (Going to S-Support him. Gives him no extra classes, but its his only support.) Great Master Felicia: Great Knight (Peeeeerfect...) (A Support Peri) Benny: Vanguard (Vanguard Seal) Anna: (Limited class options again...) Witch (Witch's Mark) I did this part in a word document, so it's a bit... weird... Nyx: Strategist (S Support Leo) Flora: Sorcerer (Secondary Class) Ignatius: (Mother is Selena) Berserker (Secondary Class from Benny) Forrest: (Mother is Nyx) Dark Knight (Secondary Class from Leo AND Nyx) Shigure: (Father is Keaton) Kinshi Knight (Primary Class) Most are good, but Charlotte will be basically useless. I may re-roll hers because of that.
  7. Ok, time for RANDOM! For everything but the name I used wheeldecide.com For name I used www.behindthename.com/random and clicked all categories. Gender: Female (I haven't done any full playthroughs with Female yet, yaaaaay!) Build: Tall Hair: (1-12) 3 Accessory: (1-6) 2 (Silver Clip) Color: (1-30) 28 (Violet) Face: (1-7) 6 Facial Detail: (1-12) 12 Voice: (1-3) 3 Name: Lorens Birthday Month: 9 Birthday... day: (1-30 because month) 29 Boon: (1-8, 1 being Robust, 8 being Calm) 8 Bane: (1-7, 1 being Sickly, 7 being Fragile) (Can't use Excitable because Calm is Boon) 1 Talent: (1-17, 1 being Cavalier, 17 being Troubadour) 6 (Samurai) Well... damn it. RES+, HP-. At least I got Samurai, those skill will be very helpful. From here down I'll use andrew.hedges.name/experiments/random/pickone. I find it easier and quicker to use. (I've used it before) Anyways, next is Route... 1-3, Birthright, Conquest, Revelations. 2. Damn it. Well, It'll be fine until Ch 20ish... Anyways... UNIT TIME! I'll be random-ing the units to be used first, then I'll random the classes. I'll put the units now, then edit it to represent the pairings, then to represent the class. Also, should I randomize from only their main and secondary classes (and maybe dlc classes?) Or from all available classes (From any non-avatar pairing?) I put every route possible unit, including Kamuisexuals and Children in both lists. Females: (8, counting Lorens) Lorens Camilla Charlotte Mozu Felicia Anna (YEEEEES!) Nyx Flora Males: (8) IGNATIUS Jakob Forrest Silas Arthur Shigure Izana Benny Well... damn it. Benny's S support will have to be a priority. Anyways, will edit classes in once I get an answer. Also... I'll be using the Path Bonuses, but not the Visit/Battle ones. Random Adventure Part 1: Beat 1-6. Easy peasy (I even found a better strategy for Ch 5). I used some of the non-picked units because it would've been almost impossible without them. From now on though, only for pair ups. Ch 7 might be tough, since Effie is going to be for Pair-Ups only, that means I have to switch up my normal strategy for it. May send myself to the top, Arthur to the left and Silas paired with Effie to the bottom.
  8. :D Nice. Both look pretty good. I may request something else eventually, although this makes me want to draw right now myself...
  9. Awesome to see some other artists here (I know there are other artists, I just don't happen to see posts too often, mostly because I don't browse that section too often). I'm pretty decent myself, although I have MUCH more to learn before I can call myself "good". I have some problems with spacing of eyes, symmetry etc., and I'm not the best outside of paper art. I've had my moments though. I always see in my head EXACTLY what I want, but putting it onto paper is very hard for me. Anyways, I want to see how good you are, so could you draw Serra from Blazing Sword? Been replaying FE7 and... Dodge Tank Serra is always amazing. And I like her character. And design.
  10. I tried do this a while back with 6 males, 6 females and 4 kids, but never got around to finishing it (I got VERY little early game units, just Corn, Kaze, Azura (Jakob was there, but I had already picked M!Corrin). I also didn't use other units. It was HELL by CH 10 Conquest, and I didn't want to grind. I like the Randomized Classes idea, I'll probably set this up tomorrow and then probably go through the game in a week or so. I'll also probably randomize the MU name, gender, boon/bane, secondary class, and appearance too. The name will be the weird part though, since I'll have to Randomize the amount of letters AND the letters used. It's gonna be REALLY fun though. I can see the -SPD, +LCK already... By fun I mean PAINFUL AS HELL. Also, doing Hard/Classic. Not sure what route, might random that too.
  11. I went through every game (Except Gaiden (I don't like the characters atm) and FE9/10 (Explained later))
  12. Hehehe, yeah. Scarlet's is my favorite, it's a fourth wall breaking one, and something I wouldn't expect from Scarlet, yet it manages to fit her character pretty well. Sakura's is adorable as well.
  13. (Incase I run out of room)
  14. Hello! I've been giving it some thought and decided to make a topic to cover the DLC of Fates as much as I can! I will cover the basic of the chapter storywise and gameplay-wise, as well as the rewards and unit quotes per each map. Note: I have yet to buy Revelations. DLC 1: Before Awakening: /Later/ DLC 2: Ghostly Gold: /Later/ DLC 3: Boo Camp: Story: Felicia/Jakob notices that the enemies being faced are becoming stronger, and is worried that their strength may surpass their own. Corrin agrees, and Felicia suggests that they all go on a test of courage on a haunted mountain in another world (An Outrealm), said to have fearsome monsters. Those who survive to the next morning are said to get stronger. They reach the mountain, and prepare for battle. Gameplay: This chapter is basically a harder version of Awakenings EXP DLC. You fight waves of Faceless, ranging from pathetically weak to pretty powerful. However, you can bring 12 units, over the 6 in Awakening. More EXP for everyone! The weakest Faceless are very easy to kill, with around 6 in their main important stats (Strength, Defense, Resistance, Skill), but over a very short time will only give 1 point of exp. The next tier of Faceless have much scarier stats, are will start appearing after a good amount of the story is completed. They have 16-20 (although their Res is 10) in their main stats, and are somewhat formidable early on. Both of these tiers of Faceless have the skill Heartseeker, making any player unit next to them have -20 Avoid. The third tier Faceless are a bit tougher, with stats a few points higher than the previous tier, and have Seal Defense and Natural Cover in addition to Heart Seeker. These can be a real pain, as the Seal Defense can often mean death from other Faceless if not prepared for it. Some also have Odd Shaped. Why? I have no idea. All of these three are the "unpromoted" Faceless, with the green sprite. They will attack you. The fourth tier are even more powerful than the previous in terms of offense, however, their Defense is down by 4 or 5 points, so their actually easier to kill. They have the skills Pass and Resist Status, a Dread Fighter skill. However, this and the next two tiers are both the yellow "promoted" Faceless, which will not attack you on enemy phase. This means units with two range can easily chip their massive amount of health down, without having to worry about enemy phase. The fifth tier is basically a fourth tier with slightly better stats and the skill Wary Fighter, meaning they can't double you, but you can't double them. They also seem to have Pavise, but only sometimes. Each tier get progressively higher leveled, with the tier one at level 23, and the tier five at level 29, meaning they give more EXP the higher their level. (Add Boss stats here. There are like 4) Along with the Faceless are some Stoneborn. They have Immobilize, which is basically a Freeze staff if you get hit by them, as well as Certain Blow. They don't seem to give much EXP. They seem to spawn randomly, as I've seem them spawn as early as turn 3, or not at all. Aside from that, there is a tile on this map called Mist. It is completely impassable to your units, but (from what I can tell) is like plains to the Faceless and Stoneborn. In the middle of the map, there is a breakable wall, which gives quick access to the other side, There are gravestones surrounded by mist which are the spawn points for the enemies. they always spawn 5 at a time. The enemies seem to spawn on almost every turn until the boss spawns. All enemies are heading to a Sigil tile on the north end of the map, where they escape. It is surrounded by mist, so no units can reach it, You COULD block it off with 7 units in front of it, however the Pass Faceless will just walk right through your wall anyways. Strategy: This map is fairly easy. Using Daggers, Shurikens or other stat reducing weapons or skills can allow you to let weak units kill the stronger enemies, while also getting damage EXP and Weapon EXP. Makes sure to check ranges of Defense Seal enemies, as they can make or break a plan. Since all the enemy units are physical, using high Defense units such as Oboro, Rinkah, Effie, Benny or Xander (Just to name a few) to lure in enemies is a very valid plan. Just make sure they don't kill them by unequiping them (Or they may just not kill them anyways). I find Levin Swords or other non-crit or skill activating weapons to be great for chip damage, since you won't have any RNG in that regard. Just keep weak units out of danger (May need Rescue Staves) and kill the enemies as much as possible. Make sure they you won't get Dual Struck by the Yellow Faceless, as they won't move to allow Dual Strikes, but the Green Faceless will try to do so. Also, Just leave the Tier 1 enemies alone. They can't do much to you. Rewards: The reward for this map is, obviously, tons of EXP for your units. And, in my opinion... Character Quotes!: I usually think of these quotes as a secondary reward in these maps, as they can give some more character development. I will update these over time, so be patient. Now the real question, is this DLC worth the money? This one is a bit objective. Birthright and Revelations players may not need it, but there is this weird spot where the Skirmish enemies are a bit too tough, and the tier below gives almost no EXP. Conquest players of a casual level may want this DLC, as it is the only way to grind. On the other hand, some may not want it. Overall, this is purely up to you. So guys, tell me if I missed something. I really want this to be thorough. Also, I will update the Quotes probably daily. I also have no children in my Birthright file, as I'm trying to get all the S supports. I only have Kana because... I felt like it? I have all of them on Conquest though. Tell me what you guys want next! I only did this one first because... idk I felt like it. I'll try and finish these each weekend if I can. School may prevent me from doing so. Thank you, and g'night! I'm not going to sleep yet though...
  15. Does anyone have Xander with Lancebreaker?
  16. I don't like Azama x Sakura either, but I was unfortunately forced to, as they were my last two unpaired, and I hadn't gotten even their C support to guage how the support would of been.
  17. Oboro yaaaaaaay! As if it wasn't already obvious she'd be there. And, yeah these CGs are better than (most) of the child ones.
  18. Oboro (From what I remember/experienced) has really good Def (and Res?) growths. After a few levels (Plus possibly giving her Hinoka's Guard Naginata(Granted, Hinoka kinda needs it more, being a Peg)) she takes almost no damage from enemies, and can do a boat-load of damage back. And having Seal Defense (and Speed, once promoted (and Rend Heaven)) without using a Heart Seal is pretty nice honestly. If she doesn't kill, then you bet whoever attacks them next will. Granted, that's more about the class, not Oboro. Its probably also because I married her to my MU on my first Birthright playthrough. She also doesn't have that Bow weakness. (Or Beast unit in almost endgame, since a good amount of enemies have Beast Killers (Or in the Wolfskin chapter, cause Beastbane), but Granted, by that point Heart Seals are much easier to get.)
  19. You giving it to them for their final class of just for skills? Or does it depend on who gets them?
  20. Avatar and Kana would get Archer, unless Archer is the trait, in that case I believe they'd both get ninja, but don't quote me on that. Also, then Setsuna would get nothing soooo... don't do that anyways. Making your trait Archer I mean. (If you intended to do this pairing)
  21. Well... Setsuna sounds high like, all the time. (Besides that she's actually one of my favorites personality wise, idk why honestly. Then again, her high af voice can also be a positive as well.) Hana's VA is... mediocre, but I like her MU support (among others). She used to be a favorite of mine early on, but I kinda... lost interest in her character after a while. Probably just a me thing though. Also, just to clarify, I'm saying to go Setsuna. That was NOT clear at all. Like, I don't even think I understood myself. But Raquna is the best waifu. If you know who I'm talking about go play EOU. Fantastic game and series.
  22. I like the design of the generic Kitsune and Wolfskin, but once they promote I just get bugged by that tail and horn (respectively) soo much. The Nine-tails tail just makes no sense and the horn on the Wolfssegner (Can I just call them Managarms again? I have to look up their name EVERY TIME.) is just really out of place, although I like the design besides that. In terms of character, I haven't had much exposure to either child, but I really liked both from reading supports pre-launch in the US. But... overall the fact that Kinu/Selkie's English VA is just... extremely squeaky... makes me like Velour(ia) more. I also like her design a SLIGHT bit more. And I also like both Keaton and Kaden. Keaton is a fun character and Kaden is also fun and has one of my favorite crit quotes. That laugh is amazing. In terms of unit, DEFINITLY Wolfskin. Their extreme bulk and strength is just MADE for me to love them. I honestly don't like the Kitsune/Ninetails class, as the whole "dodge tank & mage killer" way they're made is just... not made for my type of luck. I'd rather use a Elite Ninja or Swordmaster for dodge tanking instead, and I think Falcon/Kinshi Knights are much better mage killers thanks to their move. Don't get me wrong, the Kitsune class isn't bad, its just not a class I like using.
  23. I knew that was there when I first heard the song (Pre US launch and anything English dubbed, I downloaded the music RIP pretty much right away) but I didn't think much about it being dubbed once Fates dropped here. Either they missed it or kept it in intentionally for some reason.
