Well I've been curious about this game for a while.... so for whoever played it I will simply ask.... is it fun ? is the story actually good this time ?

Im glad to see you folks agree with me, it makes me feel more comfortable in a forum big like this one, also sadly im going to buy the three parts separated, since I got no way to buy the special edition, I just hope we get Dlc map packs, not DLC maps..... if you know what I mean... and I hope the next FE games dont go though that path of 3 separated games, it feels like something you would see EA or Capcom would do Also, Unpopular Opinion, Axes are my favorite weapons of Fire Emblem ever, on looks, art style and somewhat of gameplay

Favorites: Berserkers,I just love everything abotu them, they look badass, they have great stats and use my favorite and problaby the most underrated weapon in all FE games, Axes Wyvern riders/Lords, I like how most things about them,they have good stats, Lords can use two type of weapons that dont require you to lvl something else like tomes and are simply cool looking Assasins:The ability to use Swords and bows, while doing alot of dodges is wonderful, they can deal with most things with no problem and are just fun to use Sorceror/Druid: Dark tomes are preety good, they can do some great damage and some like Nosferatu and Mire can give great extras, although I like how the generic enemies look, I feel like the units in FE 13 could have used a better look.... and sometimes they are able to take some damage, so they arent as fragile as mages Worse:Warriors,why would I want to use bows as a badass gladiator ? Really.... why couldnt it be something else like a spear ? Sadly they suck and compared to Berserkers,they dont stand a chance Griffon Riders,lets face it, Griffons dont look as cool as badass looking dragons, the fact that they are weaker in stats doesnt help either, and thankfully....or sadly for some, this class is gone from Fates.... Dancers, you know, they are useful, I cant denny with that but... whats the logic here... you go into a war with might and magic everywhere and you... you dance... really ? Still I feel like they could do a little better with protecting themselves... Thieves:Tell me... when you ever used a thief to fight when you could use something like a swordmaster or a lord ?... Dark Knight: They cant use dark tomes,for some reason and the only real blade they can use with no problem has to be the Levin Sword, if you want to get them better strengh then... good luck I guess... Any class that morphs with the exception of Manaketes: I dont get the logic.... why would a person that transforms into a cat wants to try to face agaisnt someone with a giant axe ? Usually I preffer class changing this weird furry people, as they can be useful as another class... and I decided to add a extra,Guilty pleasures: Knights/Generals, they can be great when used correctly.... but that could be said about any class sadly, this class needs a boost, they can help alot but they can be beaten easily Great Knight: Its just Paladins.... with some less stats... im not counting stuff like skills though, they have some neat skills like Luna Mages: they are great,dont get me wrong but why would I want to use a mage when I could use one that has more durabilty and can use special tomes,aka dark mages...

Well Fallout 4 felt abit incomplete for me honestly, I have to play it but, i feel like the game was missing somethings, even more in story and rpg elements, but it looks alot of fun honestly, I hope it goes to steam sale so I can get it now that I have a better notebook Oh and I understand your anger towards the fact that I am abit overprotective to my favorite FE game, but I was kinda looking more at the Nostalgia blind fanbase, not the millions of DLC maps company, I cant denny we have to criticize a game so the developers can learn from their mistakes, but there are times when Criticizing just goes to getting angry for the sake of it, but still... I cannot deny that there are many wrong things in the game, like the dlcs, I never bothered to buy any of them because I felt they seemed abit.... not needed or fun.... I never tried any even if im curious... Anyway while I look forward to Fates, I still hate how the game is sold in 3 different parts, this isnt pokemon people.... this is FE...

Honestly I would love to have a Fire Emblem with a more Warhammer 40k style, it would be so damn badass and fun!

Once I tried FE 13's Lunatic mode.... I realised why it was called Frederick/Robin Emblem.... are all Lunatic modes this hard and rather unfair ?

still I hope someday maybe people will just stop... oh and I don know but... Gonzales doesnt count Axie ? I mean... his sprite isnt wearing a shirt and he looks kinda silly... sooo... maybe he counts?

Im so glad to see someone who understands what I mean,its sad to see many great fanbases fall down to crappy levels for the Nostalgia blind part of it, people, alot of those series wouldnt survive if it wasnt for the new games, and they improved in many ways, and most of the newer games are my favorites, Cataclysm is my favorite WoW expansion, FAllout new vegas is one of my favorite rpgs of all time and Pokemon Black 2 is my fav Pokemon of all time along with the Gen.... I just hope people will stop, I know that soon enough this topic will be filled with people saying the basic stuff you would see a GEnwhinner would get cry over... but still, one day people might stop, just gotta hope now Oh and Ballisticians need to shoot Fireballs and Thunder like in FE1.... and maybe rockets too!

Honestly, im glad to see im not the only one that enjoyed alot of things from FE 13, while I kinda can understand why people dont like it,I just feel that at this point, people are getting angry over it just for the sake of being angry, I dont feel like its somekind of betrayal to the series, I feel like it was, in its own way, a boost to it, and it Saved the series to fall to another series that only hardcore fans would enjoy... but I agree that the story, after Walhart got weird and... somewhat unneeded for me, but still, I cant wait for Fates, and I cant wait to get Revelations... oh and RIP Warrior class.... Also, Fe 12 should be launched worldwide,from the little I played, I enjoyed it

My favorite FE game is Awakening.... and I enjoyed most things it did to the series..... *hides from the 'veteran' Fe fanboys*

Goddamn... someone remenbers Nox and Sanitarium those are both great games and yeah... I miss Westwood aswell... too bad they had to go... I will miss their series... I doubt anyone will know this one but, Gruntz... this game was my childhood,it was rather different RTS game with some interesting gameplay and some silly humor, oh and it was made by Monolith, the folks who are only known for FEAR which... kinda makes me sad...

HOnestly i've been doing various kinds of rps for about 3 years and I kinda want to go for a more complex FIre Emblem themed rp, I always enjoyed medieval/fantasy themed rps so why not ? I sure would join, I mean sure I would be kinda new to this style but still, if you are going to make something I will try to join, heck I even got 2 ideas, both of them the character is a Brigand/Barbarian if you dont mind

Dangaronpa doesnt feel underrated at all for me..... it feels abit overrated but... its just not for me really However whats underrated is a REAL series called Serious Sam, problaby one of the most fun FPS games of all time, with some good humor, epic battles and some great spin offs, like a 2d platformer where you can put guns on guns and make one heck of a giant weapon, or a classic RPG with a more different style, its just loads of fun and humor it deserves more knowledge

Well Obscure makes sense really, oh and I think I might have heard of Battle Realms, idk but it sure looks interesting and I kinda like the graphics

We all know those games, those that nobody remenbers, those that people either didnt know existed or just forgot, this is basically a place to recommend and to talk about some of those games First im gonna bring two RTS games that are just fantastic War Wind: a incredibly interesting game that happens in a alien world,with 4 races to play as, each playing differently from each other, while having a interesting story, along with the fact that the game has some nice mechanics like a main hero, the ability to enter buildings and vehicles and the upgrade system, another detail is that there is no humans in this game, and honestly, that makes the game more different and nice, there is a sequel but its plot is just... bad... oh and the game was launched in 1994 and it looks great for the time Warlords Battlecry 3: this game launched in steam a while ago, and its a fantastic RTS game, with 16 playable races, a bunch of classes to choose from and many spells to use, the plot is somewhat simple but how you do the campaign is the more interesting part, as you explore the land and engage in wars and alliances, its a fantastic and fun game, sure the game has some old graphics but if you can pass it, then you gonna have alot of fun Also I understand that there is a underrated games thread already,but I dont want to necro post

GEN 1: Good: It started the series and Cubone/marowak are my fav pokemons of all time,thankfully they got way better in the other gens Bad: Annoying Rival and unbalanced gameplay GEN 2: Good: Johto was a preety cool region and some of the pokemon were nice Bad: Not too many pokemon, the need of adding a old region... which I dont get why GEN 3: Good: the pokemons... I kinda dont remenber much of this gen and the Mystery Dungeon game Bad: too much water... 10/8 Gen 4: Good:the mystery dungeon games again and the best pokemon remake ever,god I loved how your pokemon actually followed you bad: the main game felt really slow Gen 5: Good: The pokemon and starters were awesome (Emboar fav starter and most underrated pokemon ever), the plot was interesting and the post game of BW2 was fantastic Bad: Half of BW is linear Gen 6: Good: Fairy type pokemon, the best Mystery Dungeon game bad: Mega evolutions, good idea but gave to pokemon that didnt need it... at least most of them, Dissapointing remake of gen 3

Favorite: Berserkers.... no wait.... I mean... Alot of the things that Awakening did,like how the pairing works and you can get different kinds of children each playthough,how you can class change and not being forced to use specific ones like tactician and how you can lvl up your char as much as you wish, and hey if you dont like the idea of lvling your char more then you did, dont use the second seal, I kinda liked the Spotpass idea aswell, being able to fight old chars and get bosses on some rather hard levels... oh and the fact that,the arenas were preety cool too... when they didnt killed you... oh and Casual/Phoenix mode, because I dont want to redo a whole level just for one damn error Least Favorite: Axes are rarely used, weight in the GBA games, how Fates makes you buy your choice and thinks its pokemon and alomst forgot of the freaking reinforcements, the bane of my sanity

Well it depends on the storyline really, I do enjoy complex storylines,those with humor and abit of the simple ones... although I enjoy more the kind of plots that give me a story about a world, or a group, I tend to get annoyed with the ones that focus in only one char, like Shadow Dragon.... and im one of those people that hates Marth for feeling like a generic royal mary sue, sorry folks but... he feels like just another lord, I get so annoyed of how the series act like he is the greatest of all.... Anyway, I do enjoy when there are a bunch of characters that are likeable or interesting, both heroes and villians, heck I enjoy villians that are actually evil, not the cartoon 'I will take over the world' kind (like all FE villians) , but im speaking more of one that gives fear, that does evil things, an example of this is Ghetsis from my fav pokemon gen, gen 5... he nearly destroyed a hole town, mind controlled people to give up their pokemons, nearly killed your char, had a child that he trained to be his champion, enslaved a legendary pokemon to grant him power and had one heck of a epic fight and theme, this is a example of how a villian achieves his final goal, that doesnt focus on what his final goal is about... I do enjoy likeable villians aswell, Mustafa from FE 13 is problaby one,if not my fav FE villian, he is a honorful berserker that fights for those who he cares,I wish he could join my team honestly.... I might add more to what I enjoy but, I do like having Choices too, being able to decide the fate of my char and how the world sees him/her is something I enjoy too

hmm.... well.... let me think about... how about this: Only the 3 first heroes of each game (of course not counting Other )... or should I select some specific characters that you can use ? Sorry sometimes I feel like whenever I try to do a challenge,I somehow make it easier

Well... in a way sure but.... eh i dont know honestly.. oh and now that eclipse mentioned it.... you cant change the spotpass character's classes.... that would be abit too op
