That is something I usually do in my Conquest/Birthright runs, I choose a class from the oposite faction... like my second Conquest run I went for Oni Savage because of more crits, free weapons and being able to use Brave Axes and my Yato

I honestly see both Iago and Hans as basically the evil mean versions of bulk and skull... you know those guys from Power Rangers... also Garon feels like a mediocre version of Walhart,by look and how he acts.... too bad really, I like when the 'evil' king is done right and I was hoping to get a interesting side of Nohr in Conquest... but all I got was the desire to simply say to the trio of annoying generic evil twats to screw themselves and use my Killer axe on their faces... im so glad that in Revelations they dont appear so much and you get to deal with them quick...

while im not a fan of magic, I still think Dark mages are better, sure the Hoshidan one might get some extras but, the skills and power that Sorcerer and Dark knight get are much more appealing.... besides Nosferatu can make them abit more tanky when needed, I mean sure you wont use a freaking mage to tank but its good to survive getting hit out of nowhere

Heroes of Might and magic 4.... the last of the series, a interesting game with some neat ideas but a rushed one, it could have been just as great as the third one but.... its missing things, all thanks to 3DO pushing them.... Also, the newer games in the series just... dont feel right.... the last one has alot of problems even more having to do with Ubisoft being a twat and not to forget the worst HD release i've seen for a while,with missing content and much more overpriced then the one in GOG.... same thing for Might and Magic, its not the same series, its just a game that plays similiar but doesnt feel like part of the series, even less the plot

Honestly I would say go for something like Master of Arms or Great knight... if you are going for a physical character, if magic is your thing, I would say Dark Mage for acess of Nosferatu and some good defense.... somehow even though they dont wear many clothes.... I honestly didnt really enjoyed either Nohr or Hoshido Noble, they felt rather gimmicke for me, at least compared to something like the Grandmaster class,besides the fact that Manaketes in Fates feel really underpowered in my opinion... maybe because of how the dragon form looks and it cant shoot fireballs.... it kinda makes me wish we were able to transform into different dragons with different stones, kinda like in the older games

Does anyone know Warlords Battlecry 3? Its a fantastic RTS/RPG game with many great elements in it and its just loads of fun! Also Majesty 1 and 2, the second one may not be so great but its still a fantastic fantasy sim game that I recommend to everyone Lets see what else.... I know this isnt unheard off but its been a while since I heard people talking about it... Unreal, from the first one to Tournament 2004, I cannot think of a awesome FPS series that has some classic and different weapons, soundtrack and just fun game, sure Quake was good and all but Unreal is just beatiful in every way... Also anyone remenbers that Jazz Jackrabbit series ? I freaking love the second one and its soundtrack that.... *sigh* makes me think that the 3rd one was the worst loss in video game history... Oh and gratz for the people that remenber the Army men series, a classic of my childhood.... except the last one....

Im surprised to not see anyone talking about my favorite fighter, Arthur... sure he feels like a joke character but honestly, he is a preety likeable and a fun person, trying his best to do somethign good for others, heck he started this since he was a child, where he helped Azura to escape and he took the blame of her dissapearence Honestly its hard to decide a favorite character, I felt that most of the Fates cast was great and likeable, sure the main story might not be so great but damn, the characters were likeable Another example is Benny, such a calm and nice person that has a preety damn cool voice and a cool looking armor Also Peri... she is just so damn adorable dammit, even if she is abit problematic,she is still a character I liked.... and she was my first waifu... Oh and one more because why not ? Charlotte, at first she seems like somekind of generic brute lady or something like that but, some of her supports are kinda interesting, showing that she is more then just some weird fan service

So from what im seeing she has some great Str and Spd.... does that mean she could be a powerful Berserker ?.... I think im gonna try that in my Revelations run....

I dont know about the first one,but the second one, you just have to beat one of the paths, then you get all the Nohr/Hoshido Generic units as assitants... even Faceless

Welp in my Birthright run,I made Corrin into a Mercenary,then a Hero, then a Swordmaster,then a MAster of Arms, then a Paladin.... yeah I have OCCCD: Obsessive Compulsive Class Changing Disorder While in my Conquest run, I made him into a Fighter,Berserker and a Hero, and in both runs, he was fantastic, now im doing a Blacksmith Conquest run and a Berserker Birthright run and he is really OP.... screw being a Deer Dragon, I want to use badass axes Now im waiting for Revelations, where I will be a knight,General,possibly a Great knight and in the end... who knows.... also you think that its worth doing the Weapons DLC during a playthough ? I played it twice, once when I finished Conquest and another while I was near the end of Birthright.... I got more stuff from the Birthright one... is it that random ?

Is it a good idea to class change Corrin into a Oni Savage/Fighter and ignoring the Yato? I've been doing that in my second runs of Conquest and Birthright and im thinking doing the same for Revelations, but this time going for a General

Thaat depeendss... although I think that for Conquest I might do some changes, but I think I will add one more rule to make it less painful

in my first Birthright/Conquest runs, everyone liked the Faceless Mask and Ninja mask.... I don get it

you know.... I felt like the nostalgic part of the Fire Emblem Fanbase in America/Europe was annoying.... something tells me that the Japanese part is worse... and that they arent used to stuff like that, so I dont know how the Japanese gaming market is compared to the American one....

I cant say much about the Gameplay part because I beaten both paths in Normal/Casual..... because I want to.... anyway, I can understand why people would find it easy but eh... I had alot of fun with both,even more Birthright for letting me take my time.... Now in the plot thing it kinda makes sense but, I still feel like joining the Nohrian makes abit more sense, sure the weird obsession for Camilla and just sillyness of Elisse can get annoying but they were kinda likeable.... I honestly enjoyed Nohr more then Hoshido for the characters, of course there are some great ones in Hoshi but I preffered Nohr in general.... also I cant denny that the plot feels meh but... lets face it, Fire Emblem never had the greatest plot, sure it was abit better before but I feel like it hasnt downgraded sooooo much as people say, I found it all right in the Birthright path, while the Conquest path kinda annoyed me, I did liked how somethigns were kept to a mystery and I honestly cant wait for Revelations for reasons I already explained

Greetings and Salutations folks, today I bring a small challenge for you to try in your next run, Since Fates brings a new mechanic called Capture, I decided to bring a new challenge to the game, as you know, you can capture bosses and enemy units with Orochi/Niles, while persuading them takes sometime, it usually its worth it, as some of the units, even more the bosses. are great and have some extra skills that might take sometime to get with other units.... so today I bring a challenge that focuses on that Rules: >This challenge can be done in any path you want, the Difficulty I will bring it up in a moment >You can only use 4 units of the main cast (this includes Corrin and Niles/Orochi ), you can use children too but they will count in the 4 units rule,however, you cant focus on them, they will mostly be used for capturing or helping the captured units >You MUST have 1 or 2 Lancers, as they are basically the Goombas of Fire Emblem, you must use one of them and see how far they go... also they are the only ones you are allowed to class change to more 'different' classes like Lodestar,Dread Fighter and Dark Fliers, you can still Promote other classes of course >You can use bosses like Daniela, Nichol, Llewelyn ,Lloyd etc ,but you cant buy them from the Unit Logbook,I would recommend you try getting Kumagera if you go for Conquest, as I used him in one of my playthough and he was a great Oni Chieftain/Blacksmith... >If this wasnt obvious, No dlc maps... that would make things kinda easy... but you can still use the Scout thing >Before you get the prison, you are allowed to use most of your units,but when you get acess to it, thats it, you can only use 4 characters..... and 5 for Conquest because.... Conquest is just Conquest Difficulty selection: I decided to choose when you are allowed to get a unit or two depending on the chapter and difficulty you are playing Normal: 1 unit per 3 chapters Hard:1 unit per 2 chapters or if you preffer 2 units per 4 chapters Lunatic: 1 unit per chapter Casual stays like that, but in Classic its doubled.... and Phoenix ?.... eh I dont know honestly Questions: Q: Am I allowed to play the children paralogue to get the bosses? A: Yes, you can get teh paralogues but you cant use the children, unless they are in the 4 characters list Q:Can I buy skills for my Corrin? A: ....Take a guess... no, but you can still class change him if you wish More might come,so whats your Opinion on the challenge folks ? Do you wish to try and make a powerful generic Lancer become the mightiest warrior of all Nohr/Hoshido/Whatever the third path kingdom is called ?

I cant blame people for dispising Corrin in Conquest, although I cant blame him for going back to Nohr... I mean lets face it, even if he was captured and such, though his whole life, the Nohrians were basically his family, then out of nowhere come the Hoshidans treating him all nice and good and antagonizing his own family... I mean lets face it, if you got a great life with your adoptive family and then out of nowhere, someone tells you that they are your father/mother and start treating you well and such.... would you really go to the other side? That being said, I was hoping that in Conquest we would at least see a more interesting side of the villians, something that could make characters like Iago,Hans and Garon likeable... but nope! I just wanted all this time to take out my yato, put on my Hero armor and say "You know what? No! Fuck you, im taking Nohr now!".... now im just waiting for Revelations,because I cant wait to take my time with the game and not having to care about those goddamn generic villians

At this point I started ignoring people getting butthurt over something small or what they wanted,im not saying we shouldnt complain when something is wrong, I just feel like alot of fanbases, like the Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Fallout fanbases, are either nostalgia blind or just being butthurt for the sake of being butthurt, although im speaking more of a small/big part of the fanbase, there are alot of good people in those fanbases, but still, I feel like people are just getting butthurt for the sake of being butthurt, not for just giving an opinion or something like that... I dont know, maybe im just tired of people whinning about Awakening and Fates(aka my favorite FE games) because you know, wihout them, this series would be dead and we would finish with something like Shadow Dragon.... And really, people tend to be buyest towards their opinions, sometimes I check small youtube channels for their opinions in games, like Gggmanlives, even if I dont agree with them, at least they are less bad then a large part of gaming... fanbase? Also the SJW/Gamergate thing.... I dont care, for me it has little to do with video games and when I encounter that kind of stuff I simply want to say "Remenber when we played video games to have fun?"

Honestly, I liked most of the cast of this game... sure they are rather basic and such but... I like them,but mostly the Nohr part, I found them much more interesting, I mean sure Niles and some others can be abit annoying at first but they get some interesting Supports so its fine by me....that being said... Alot of Hoshido characters were just... bothersome, like Subaki,that Samurai guy,that goddamn bastard Takumi,Lobster Ryoma(aka the Multiplayer destroyer),the Ninja Trio (went for Kagero as my first waifu.... meh),and most of the children... I mean im fine with some of them like Cordelia and...uuuhh.... Shiro and Hisame were all right but the rest... eh or bleh Also Mozu felt like a more boring version of Donnel, I miss Donny the nuke weapon.... Also Garon and his 'friends'... Its just so dissapointing to see the generic muahaha villians.. cant we at least have a more interesting Villian... like Mustafa or Cervantes... or even Walhart

While I had alot of trouble with some of the Conquest missions,I went though them with alot of luck and rng I guess... also Percy was like my nuke weapon sooo yeah.... but anyway, I just wish that I could grind in Conquest,or even better, that I could choose how I want to play either side, if I want with or Without grind, so I can take my time in Conquest and enjoy the cast... which I honestly find it much better then the one in Birthright.... not saying that the Hoshido characters are bad its just that... alot of them... make me want to use a generic Lancer then them.. Also... the Multiplayer.... unless if you are going to play with a friend.... you are going to dispise it... you dont gain anything from it, you dont get Battle Points and its just so unbalanced that even on Limited mode, your only tactic will be wait for the enemy to come to you... thats it Also the resource managemnnt felt rather boring, im glad I could get somethings easy but I kinda got annoyed of having to go though a bunch of random "SKILLS" Castles, just to get some random stuff

So let me get something straight.... Amibo characters are basically like 'special' generic units, by that I mean like you cant interact with them or make relations with them, they are just there,like any other Capturable Unit, right ?

you know... I had hope for Rare after they releashed the Rare Collection game,because it showed that they still cared, heck they showed us gameplay of alphas/betas in it, and they did a good job porting the many games.... but no.... just no.. please Microsoft, just stick with Halo, let Rare rest dammit

Well my first experience with games was when I was 3, I played a point n click game called Freddy Fish, and like most point n click games, I had no clue what I was doing... but then when I was 4 years old I started playing more different games, with Duke Nukem 3D,Heretic and Doom being a big part of my childhood, I played alot of demos and games that came from PC game Magazines, good god I miss paying 15 bucks for classic games like Heroes of Might and Magic 3... and knowing various underrated games with a small price.... good times... good times... also I was a big pc gamer at the time, but I had Snes that has a rather different look to most and a Ps1...

Well im glad the game is better then, if I ever get able to, I might get the game.... and hope I know any character from it... thats kinda of a problem with me and most Cross overs, I usually dont know much of the chars... and the story... well its understandable, I just felt like the first one felt more likes a fanfic then anything

Well I am glad I found some people that were kiinnndaa CIvil towards this topic.... kinda... but I liked the idea of this topic, I mean sure some of the unpopular opinions arent very much like it but, at least its sometimes to good to talk with others abotu it, without trying to use "this game is crap" as an argument.... ok there were alot of those but compared to the rest of the forum and fanbse, it was rather civil,oh and I problaby said thsi before Axes are my favorite weapons of FE I hope Ballistas come back,with a little less range and still shoot Fireballs and Thunder..... Oh and we need Ice spells... why ? Because I like ice magic in most Fantasy series
