  1. Virion!Yarne goes quite well with Gaius!Noire. Highly recommended.
  2. Keep Henry on Gerome. Henry passes dark mage which gives Hex and Anathema access which pushes Berserker up into perfect hit range. It is worthwhile to trade 1 damage for +25 accuracy. Yarne is sometimes considered a better support than Gerome because he has better inheritance (needing either archer or dark mage to fix berserker's accuracy means he is far more flexible). Also, you might want to swap out a galeboy for a hard support like Yarne and Gerome. Pick a bosskiller and put Yarne or Gerome behind them (say...Sniper!Gaius!Noire) to push the damage further. Focus power on a couple pairs to fight bosses and fill in the rest of your pairs to sweep mooks. You can swap Libra for Frederick as Inigo's father and pick up vengeance which is ok (it's a proc so it's fine) but you've got to balance with your physical/magical girls whether that's ok or not. You could go Kellam which will give you Luna and...Tomefaire...I'd rather keep Frederick tbh.
  3. I forgot that you do full damage on dual strikes in Awakening. Wow that was busted. I recommend Luna over Rightful King since it results in higher average damage. Drop Rally Magic from Lissa and replace it with All Stats +2, a single rally is not enough to warrant using it over staves or attacking. I would also suggest swapping out Luna on Ricken for something else because he does more damage in the back with aggressor but if you plan to end on him then feel free to do what you want. Same with Maribelle, Rally Magic for anything else (even mag+2). I guess you're planning to put Virion up front to end a turn just like Ricken so if that's the case then you're fine. You can also swap Brady to Dark Knight if you want more mobility and already have somebody else hitting 75 speed, otherwise this pair is good. Noire/Inigo is good. I think Assassin Inigo puts Noire up to 75 speed which is great with a longbow for dealing with invincisorc, nightmare sniper, and Anna. we're down to 7 combat pairs with 2 of them having staffbot flexibility if need be so that's fine. You'll have probably 2 rallybots (2 lets you split your forces more while one brings in yet another staffbot, I prefer 2 but the choice is up to you), Olivia, and 3 more staffbots. Another thing you could consider is deploying Virion, Ricken, Maribelle and Lissa as your staffbots and fielding another child combat pair. They won't be the best staffbots due to skill and class access, but they'll work fine if you want to bring them and make them useful.
  4. I'd usually say drop pairs for more staffbots. Remove Lissa and Sully's pairs and I'd say you're fine...Maribelle is missing a faire but she's the best choice to leave in there IMO The first gen pairs are gonna feel like dead weight because you'll be doing everything with the gen 2 pairs that are more powerful. The power gap is going to be quite noticeable and you'll feel like there isn't much point to using the first gen pairs. You can still deploy like lissa and whoever else as staffbots, but don't say they're there for combat. You've currently got space for 2 staffbots and olivia and a rallybot and that's it, not much flexibility for teleporting around the map. Edit: I'll also throw in that Henry has the perfect skillset to be a Berserker support. The difference between Henry and say Henry!Gerome is maybe 1 damage per swing. He doesn't help Darkflier!Sumia do more magic damage but he'll hit hard enough on mooks that it won't matter.
  5. I'm gonna say that Apo goes smoother with staffbots and Olivia instead of using all the characters, so realistically you won't be using all the children anyway. Your Apo team would look like: Chrom/Sumia Avatar/Lucina Cynthia/Brady Morgan/Laurent and then you fill 2 more pairs with whatever you need. It'd be good to have a Sniper so probably take Noire/Gerome and since you're heavily tilted towards magic as it is consider taking a physical galegirl like Severa or Kjelle depending on what you think you need.
  6. Again, if you're going to be using a double galepair Berserker is not a great lead class. You can just use Sage Owain and ignore getting to 75 speed and just be done with it. You've already got a 75 speed sniper pair with Lucina x Laurent, just make this pair hit magic with the support and call it good.
  7. Missed the speed on Dark Flier, oops. So I guess Brady x Robin could hit 75 speed. When you see the power of 9 move paired with 9 move and flying, it's hard not to recommend Dark Flier and it's part of why I recommend Bow Knight for Chrom. If you're looking for a physical support to a Sniper that still lets the Sniper hit 75 speed while also boosting the Sniper's strength, please consider Paladin. Ricken!Owain gets paladin and provides +7/+7/+7 Str/Skl/Spd. Sniper Gaius!Noire falls 1 speed short of 75 with a Berserker anyway (I have a chart up this time so it's not as seat of the pants as yesterday's advice, and Gaius!Noire hits 44 (base) +10 (LB) +2 (tonic) +10 (rally) +8 (Berserker pair up) = 74, 73 with Paladin) so if she takes AS+2 it works out. Paladin Owain also has fewer speed problems because he has more skill in Paladin and he'd be using a different weapon type (swords) that have higher hit. Paladin's a bit slow, but it still hits the 66 speed threshold to never be doubled, so Owain can charge in, kill a mook, then switch to Noire to take her 2 turns with a Brave Bow or Longbow depending on circumstances. You'd end up with: Gaius!Noire @Sniper: LB,GF,AS+2,Luna,Bowfaire/Astra (run the math for average damage and pick the better one) Ricken!Owain @Paladin: LB,GF,Agg,SF,Luna/Vengeance
  8. Soly's advice for 4~6 combat pairs is really good and after that I recommend 5 staffbots, 2 rallybots, and Olivia. Dropping the boots on Olivia is good because it gives you more flexibility with staffbots or rallybots and otherwise I'd drop a pair of boots on a non-mounted pair. I say: Bow Knight!Chrom x Dark Flier!Sumia (mobility, Sumia gets 75 speed and Chrom uses his Bowfaire) Dark Flier!Robin x Dark Knight!Brady (I value the speed more than the power on Morgan. It's fine for a double galepair to just sweep up mooks and you don't need 75 speed for that. For Robin and Brady who will have to make sacrifices to reach 75 speed, don't worry about it and stick to mooks) Sniper!Lucina x Berserker!Gerome (Lucina is a good boots candidate, I but Gerome here because he has higher base power than Laurent while Laurent has more skill) Dark Flier!Cynthia x Grandmaster!Morgan (Remember what I said with Robin and Brady sacrificing to hit 75 speed? Either Cynthia or Morgan can hit 75 speed depending on whether Morgan is Grandmaster or Sage and I think Cynthia hitting 75 speed is more important than Morgan having it) Wyvern Lord!Severa x Berserker!Yarne (full physical set with 75 speed on Severa and Vengeance proc. It's good). Sniper!Noire x any of the other boys (all the other boys have Berserker + auras and sage. 2 of them have Galeforce and one of them doesn't, but by not taking Galeforce you invest more in damage...look just pick your favorite and go with it.) So yeah, there's a rough framework you can build on but everything is fungible so you can change things if you want. If you're looking for other similar FE games, Fates is pretty similar (especially birthright) and Echoes might still be fun. If you're looking for other franchises: Super Robot Wars can be good (J is a good entry point), since you have a 3DS you might want to try Project X Zone 2 (the first game is ok, but not nearly as fun), Final Fantasy Tactics games can be fun (my favorite is A2 on the DS).
  9. +skill is fine. You could take +str or +spd but Morgan will be fast enough at +6 speed and +4 str will end up at +1 after dragonskin/pavise reduction...we're in the minor tweak territory so it's fine. ...Morgan gets enough skill that she might be able to run 100% Dual Strike with Laurent in Hero or Assassin...but it's too late at night for me to run the math.
  10. I like Bow Knight better for Chrom, but it's all good no matter what. Swapping Lucina from Great Lord->Sniper is extremely powerful and I'd recommend it over Great Lord. If you like how Great Lord works don't feel bad about using it, but Sniper's a little better. You should definitely bench a child pair so you keep all your staff/rally bots (I'd drop another pair and use 2 more staffbots personally) because staffbots make Apo runs, but that's up to you. Out of those three pairs you listen I'd take Lucina's pair and drop the other 2. We're in the land of minor tweaks so feel free to do whatever makes you happy, I'm just suggesting more staffbots because 5 staffbots and 2 rallybots are amazing when you spread yourself out around Apo's map.
  11. The big class changes are things like Draug -> Hunter -> General, Darros -> Knight, and Wolf/Sedgar -> anything else, but you can have some fun with other changes. I see people recommend Cavalier for Navarre from time to time to help fix his durability (and it keeps his sword weapon rank) and I'm a fan of cavalier->Wyvern Gordon.
  12. I'm going to echo the idea that you should use a bunch of staffbots. I frequently run 6 combat pairs, 2 rallybots, Olivia, and 5 staffbots. Having a resuce staff for each combat pair is really good, and Olivia gives some flexibility for your staffbots and rallybots (or a combat pair if she's close enough). I'm also sorry for only skimming things, but I'm gonna suggest some things you can take or leave. You've probably moved away from the first thing you posted, but I think you should consolidate on 4 child pairs to field. You should bring Chrom/Sumia, Robin's pair (looks like Lissa, which is fine. She has galeforce which helps), and 4 children pairs. Lucina's pair and Morgan's pair are near guaranteed to be brought, and then you pick from Severa, Noire, Cynthia, or Kjelle's pairs. Lon'qu!Severa is really cool and lets you run Wyvern Lord as a lead with a supporting Berserker and hit 75 speed, then you pick the final pair that gives you something unique. It'll probably look like: Bow Knight Chrom/ Dark Flier Sumia Grandmaster Robin / Dark Flier Lissa Wyvern Lord Severa / Berserker Yarne (just make sure he gets some +hit. Libra, Henry, Ricken, Stahl, and Virion give it in some form) Valkyrie Morgan / Dark Knight or Sage Brady (I'm a fan of mobility and you have enough pairs to fight bosses, but it's up to you. This pair will just sweep mooks and maybe let Morgan fight bosses.) Sniper Lucina / Berserker Gerome (Anathema helps, good job putting Henry as the father) final pair??? I saw that you're looking to get a trickster in there and I'd suggest Noire as the trickster with Owain supporting her, but it's up to you. Levin Sword is great for chipping away at Thronezerker because his resistance is low and Aegis only blocks tomes, and I think Gaius!Noire hits a good speed number to make it work.
  13. There's also Aggressor (+7) if you've bought multiple routes, and if you're willing to throw one of your 2 Dread Scrolls onto this Corrin. You also might want to consider Nohrian Trust so you can use procs while throwing around the boosted damage.
  14. You can kill him, but it isn't easy. I think you'd need Ninian and maybe a longbow or two along with some rescue shenanigans.
  15. It works for children. I've used this when I paired Mozu with Xander. I had Mozu A+ with Effire to friendship seal into Knight, then promoted to Great Knight to get the Cavalier skills. Between the friendship and partner seals you can get a lot of overlap and can pick up plenty of seals without using too many seals.
  16. You might be looking for these 2 .pdfs, or the pdfs were saved from the google doc (I don't know what came first). Take a look and see if this is what you're looking for. Fire Emblem Fates - Friendship Seal Chart.pdf Fire Emblem Fates - Partner Seal Chart.pdf
  17. I say you pair Lucina with Yarne because she will be just fast enough to hit 75 speed with a Berserker support while all your other snipers will need to give up a lot of flexibility to reach that point. Although Gregor!Laurent is flexible enough to do both physical and magical support so if you're struggling to choose you can slap him with Lucina and make the decision right before you go into the map. The big difference between Sniper/Sage and Sniper/Berserker is whether you need to deal more magic or physical damage. Usually enemies have lower resistance than defense so Sages hit harder, and they hit more frequently while holding Celica's Gale so the damage adds up. The downside is that Sage gives no speed, and Berserker buffs your offense by buffing strength and speed and Berserker is the hardest hitting physical class so the damage is still good. Just give the supporting Berserker Hit +20 or Hex/Anathema to patch up their hit problems. You can bring as many Snipers as you want, the big problem is that you bring enough rallybots and staffusers. The important thing to have Snipers for is to soften up some of the bosses at 3 range without counterattacks so it's safer for other characters to go in, but you can also deploy all snipers if that's what you really want. If might be good to bring higher movement classes (IE Dark Flier) but you can make things work as they are.
  18. Back to the OP's question, I find Savage Blow worthwhile to get and then you can Heart Seal to Wyvern Lord if you feel like it. You can use lances, but you're generally better off using Axes so you keep building weapon rank.
  19. The first question is about Gaius. The opportunity cost of giving him to Sumia is immense, especially when Kjelle isn't set up to inherit Galeforce. If this is your true pair than leave it, but other wise strongly consider pairing Chrom with Sumia and passing Gaius to Sully. Other things you should consider are A) getting Lissa a husband with Luna or Vengeance B) reconfiguring hard supports for better performance. For A you can swap Lon'qu and Henry and call it good with minimal intervention. For B You'd generally like Yarne to have a +hit skill or two (Hex/Anathema from Dark Mage or Hit +20 from Sniper) and Gerome should get a -faire (preferably Axefaire with +hit, but only Henry gives that so Gerome can settle for just a -faire). Virion x Cordelia is really good and I recommend you leave it be. Tharja's, Nowi's, and Miriel's pairs are alright for giving Galeforce or boosting stats to support with. Robin pair is Robin pair which makes it the best for his children. tl;dr If you're intent on going Maiden!Lucina ignore all the following advice and play to your heart's content, otherwise pair ChromxSumia and shift Gaius to Sully. Swap Henry and Lon'qu, leave VirionxCordelia alone, reshuffle the pairs of your hard supports to get them some -faires or +hit skills then sit Nah on the bench and leave her there.
  20. I'd even be willing to say Lon'qu/Cherche because it gets Gerome Swordfaire (which I value over dual guard+ or Luna on a hard support) to use with Hero, but that might not be as much strength as Warrior/Wyvern Lord so it depends on the child pairings I guess.
  21. Chrom is a decent father for Inigo (Stahl replicates what he does with some +1s shifting in max stats and losing rightful king, which is of questionable usefulness at full power) and an exceptional father for Cynthia (+5 speed, Aether and Sniper are amazing together). M!Robin can pass any of the Barbarian/Fighter skills to F!Morgan (since they're unique) but they aren't irreplacable so maybe pass Axefaire or Despoil or get something convenient/useful from another class.
  22. There is one thing that changes with difficulty in Apo and it is so minor that it isn't worth noting. Vascela has done a no dlc/no braves run and I think he planned a 100% perfectly replicateable plan for it, so people have done challenge runs before. It's just that no one has disregarded pairup. I think you're breaking new ground with no pairup but I'd suggest starting with dlc and then pulling back on successive runs. If you've never done Apo before don't feel compelled to go straight to challenge runs, just play through and see if you want a tougher challenge.
  23. So long as you're keeping brave weapons you should still have flexibility in your team composition, but it'll still be tough. I feel like you should build someone to handle the bosses (especially thronezerker and Anna, you might need someone different for each) and always remember that Snipers with longbows are really good for safe damage.
  24. I gotchu fam, The deal with Fred!Noire is that it's good for 100% dual strike teams since it gives +2 skill and defender (which is sometimes necessary) ontop of her skill +2 (the skill, not the stat cap). Fred's strength buff also helps because the only class Noire has with enough skill is Sniper. You lose some speed (and galeforce), but when you are guarenteed 6 attacks on an enemy it usually doesn't matter. I think I was able to work out a Stahl!Owain/Fred!Noire pair for a 100% dual strike team with Assassin/Sniper as the classes. I also vaguely remember that it needed every +skill skill to make it work. Fred!Noire is niche, but when you automatically give Gaius to Kjelle sometimes you feel like it's better to make Noire a hard-support Sniper rather than drag her down with Donnel. Heck, Fred!Noire can even tag in to sweep mooks and take advantage of her partner's aggressor and she'll still overkill mooks.
  25. The last Revelations moving platform challenge is the worst because you can't skip it with flight. I'm also not a fan of the revelations boat level because you just have to wait for a couple turns before you can start pushing back. The other revelations maps are boring and drawn out, but not nearly that bad.
