  1. Hi one again Lamia. This time, I have a problem with the Map Editor.
I am trying to subtly change some FE4 maps to make them more streamlined (as ib

n, adding paths into big forests, removing bushes to traverse terrain faster, stuff like that) which means that there is no drastic changes to the maps whatsoever. However, even when I do the whole process of compressing the maps with the encoder program, there's still 1 or two semi-rows or garbage left at the bottom of the map - but most importantly, I noticed that the Arena in Chapter 1 simply doesn't work anymore, at all. Black screen. Nothing. Do you have any clues about why this could have happened?

Just open that in a hex editor and paste it in your ROM pretty much anywhere that's word aligned.

I am not sure to understand what he mwans by ''word-aligned''. Can someone be kind enough to explain me this?

  3. Hello everyone! I am currently learning on how to insert music into FE7 using the very simple Zalhman's music editor program.
It works quite well so far, but the only problem I have is that the MIDI files that I have inserted still use the regular ''General MIDI'' soundfont, and I was just wondering if it was possible to make it so that the GBA FE7 soundfont is used instead.
Does anyone have a lead on how to do this?

  4. I did not really expect that, so... thank you very much! ^^

Also, I know that you answered that kind of question before, but I have trouble opening your Nightmare modules on the original Nightmare program. You did say that they were an extention of the original modules, but I am not really sure how to make them work like that. Would you mind giving me help on this?

I cant access the nightmare module. It says something about me having to buy an app from the windows store. How do i get around this?

Are you sure that you are opening them within the Nightmare program, and not as standalone apps?

yeah sorry about that, I MIGHT be able to figure it out again if you really want it

Only do it if you are bored and have nothing to do. It's a cute feature, but nothing that is NECESSARY to the game

  7. Apologies for the bump, but I can confirm that the critical display ips patch still makes so that Wrath does not work: I sadly learned it the hard way...

It would be nice if you could fix that for good eventually, but since you apparently forgot what you did to arrange it, I won't pry :P

  8. (Long time no see, everyone)

    Here's my take on it:
Power: As everyone said, give it to someone with low-ish Power so that they can still have good damage output through the game, like Midayle, Dew or Alec
Magic: While a Magic user is still a good choice for it, a surprisingly decent combo is to have Alec get it, and give him a Magic Sword afterwards. Thanks to that and his +5 Magic on promotion, he'll be able to one-round a few enemies on Chapter 2-3, and still have great damage output afterwards ;)
Skill: Give it to someone with procable skills, like the sword twins, Noish or anyone with the Killer Bow
Speed: Someone with both Pursuit and a heavy weapon type, like Azel and his Fire tomes, Finn, and Lex if he has the POWER OF PURSUIT
Shield: Someone with decent, but not great defense, like Sigurd, Noish and Finn
Barrier: That doesn't really matter since Magic will do a lot of damage to you anyways, but I think giving it to a good 1-2 range unit may help your case, so that he can become a sorta mage-killer
Leg: Just give it to your favorite foot unit!
    Knight: Same as above
    Return: ...Does it really matter?
Paragon: While Lachesis should get it first so that she can promote faster to the badass Master Knight class, you can pass it around for arena shenanigans afterwards so that others can promote faster as well :)
Life: Good on anyone in the frontlines frequently
Bargain: Give it to someone with a expensive (and often holy) weapon to repair, so that it costs less money for them
And finally, give the POWER OF PURSUIT to either Noish or Lex, since Levin can still ORKO things quite well with his base skillset tbh

  9. Hi everyone! I am trying to make so that classes previously locked to one-weapon type can now wield multiple weapons, thanks to the ''Battle Sprite Editor'' Nightmare module. In this instance, I want to make so that Bow Knights can use swords. Thing is, I don't really know how I could add a animation slot to insert a Bow Knight Sword animation (which will be just a Paladin's Sword animation), since I know that you need to have all animations for one class held together. So how can I get around this?

  10. @DarrmanThat's very interesting to see you compare both tierlists, you can really see how people's opinions on a game can still change, even if the game itself is already more than 20 years old! But most importantly, thank you for compiling the votes for me for some of the 2nd Gen characters, I really appreciate it! For the last time, curse my laziness

With all that said, I think it's finally time to end this project, which took much longer than expected! But even if it did, I must say thank you to all of my diligent voters who bothered writing a simple sentence or a big wall of text, just to explain why they love/hate so much a specific unit in FE4. It was really nice to read all of your comments and debates on this beautiful game, and also to see the quite vivd participation... when I uploaded the thread, that is!

So yeah, thank you everyone, and may we all see each other again on SF! ^^
