I forgot those. Usually when you see characters with the Lord/dancer/bard/archsage classes or named after main characters/bosses appearing more than once and usually at the end of the list, that means those are just there for the map sprite to display during pre/post chapter events. Sometimes they are under names like civilians or mixed up and have all sorts of weaponry, because the only thing that matters presentation-wise is for them to have a sprite to display.

For the one where they join. The memory will pick it up from there (like it does with levels). Edit: and yes on the chapter unit editor. The one on the character editor is for the support viewer.

Best: Selena, I really would have liked her to be playable in the story and have had supports to know more about her. She suffers from prepromote mehdom, but at least she tried to do what's right. Worst: Catalena, she may have the best speed before BK, but Ike (or any mage/bow user) can easily quarter her down and she's just a puppet made to lead an attack for lack of non-good girl bosses.

Nolan and Edward have the best potential, with 390/380 growth totals, maxing almost everything fast, and the ones they don't you can BEXP later. You're also bound to use at least one of the two to survive the first few chapters. They come with good 20/15 capacity skills: Nihil/Wrath. Since they are available to join Tibarn's group in part 4, they have the chance to get to any level you want without boss abuse. Nephenee also has good potential/Wrath/1 more chapter than the Greil mercenaries(her part 2: includes a playing-ground for her if you won't use Brom, a FOW map where she's the most competent and a giant defense map). Those 3 I consider having the most potential. Now if you want already powerful/no need for potential units, just take the royal laguz (excepting the dragon prince). The best unit can be argued for.

I guess territories wouldn't count since they're not states yet and will probably never be, meaning 0 for me.

These are all really good. I especially like the face sprites in the 2nd row. Gilliam's new armor and the guardian battle sprites are awesome. The girl on the 4th row needs some better armor shading, and have consistent shading between the top and bottom of her hair. There's something wrong with the shading on new Neimi's neck. There are other minor details, but I'll leave those for the experts to comment on.

Ok, and I agree with you on the Con, I only use Body Rings on the female mages (Lute, Nino, Lilina, etc.), but I otherwise just sell them. I'm iron weapons/basic tomes and runeswords/handaxes all the way, with some high-crit leftovers thrown in to free space in the supply. Eh, you really should try the bait and counter technique if you have that problem. Or use more Purge tomes.

I think he can use a saved up card. I just attack him from afar and get him rescued by Haar (who can stand a BK attack and damage him back). Still a little work and less money for the 3-2 Silver Card bargain spree.

Lehran requires you take up 1 space on 1-F for the Black Knight, the only pain, sorry XP, forgot the Soren Epilogue was not a requisite (I just try to get both at the same time). I guess, yes I'm a crazy hypocrite for thinking 3 Lagdou runs is not a pain when playing CC, as CC's just that for me. And Naglfar weights the same as Fenrir for 10 more damage, and 4 over Nosferatu/6 over Luna for infinite uses. If you worry about weight, you could give Lyon 6 leftover body rings - the Melkaen Coast spiders like to drop them and Jehanna Hall sells them.

Best: Farina, if Karla is possible, then so can she (you need to beat the story first), because I can't think of anyone else worth it. Pelleas maybe, for being only dark user (other than Lehran which is a big pain to get, 1 chapter only, can't get Balberith/other blessed himself, etc) and having a good personality, yet puppeteered easily by of all people vile monsters, Izuka. How he could trust that "touched in the head" crackpot is beyond me and makes me not like him for best. Honorable mention to Lyon for summoning, two S ranks, Naglfar and Hammerne, but meh-stats and puppeteered too. Worst: Orson, not only is he a traitor with bad stats, he's a traitor that offers nothing in his inventory I wouldn't have enough off - at least everyone else but Glen (who's cool and average) offers something unique or costly. Dishonorable mention to Lehran for reasons above.

We mean the archetype Est - archetype being like a reused type of character in the series. Yes, but glass cannon means bad growths somewhere, although now that I look back at it, Zeiss has 275% total growths, while Sophia has 280%, they are both a little far from Ests like Nino (330%). To save this thread from silly "X is not an Est" arguments? That'd be a good idea. My opinion is: late-game (2/3 passed), unpromoted, low-level, low/average bases and good growths. But everyone has their opinions. The thing is they're both 2nd tier, the last two unpromoted being Tormod and Fiona, but they're around midgame.

I like all the Ests (not sure about FE4's since I haven't played it, but if it's the healer with Physic then I like him too). I would say my favorite is L'Arachel (if she even counts) for being always hilarious, awesome, useful and beautiful. Since not, the combined toddler-to-adult-in-a-lightning-flash force of Nino and Ewan is my favorite. And I don't think Sophia counts, since she comes 2 chapters before Zeiss and is a bigger glass cannon than him (although Zeiss gets HM bonuses making him less Estier).
