  1. He'd use in his blocking animation just not to block arrows, like Link in Smash bros 64 and as I said it would power up the Falchion in his attack animations. Besides even if it did block arrows its not like thats a game breaking ability. If you don't believe about the shield being important watch this. MASSIVE SPOILERS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dI0mGVYVv1A
  2. Gameplay>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>art Marth has the Fire Emblem shield throughout the whole nes game, and get its after beating the second map in Fire Emblem 3 book 2. People who play Fire Emblem DS will start wonder why the shield is absent and in the Smash bros Series if it stays absent for the next installment. Honestly why are you so opposed to the shield? Marth looks awesome with the thing, and it really goes with the Falchion. It would be an awesome addition and with no minuses.
  3. In japan Fire Emblem 3 was a topseller for about a year.
  4. He'd use in his shield animation just not to block arrows, like Link in Smash bros 64 and as I said it would power up the Falchion in his attack. It would please basically everyone who'd played Fire Emblem 3 as it's an enormous part of the game, and no one except you seems to have a problem with it. For those who haven't played, heres an example of its importance. You are basically the only person so vehemently opposed to it.
  5. His cape does nothing as does Captain Falcon's gun which is always in its holster. They are both still in the game. They could use it in his taunts or add it to an existing move. For example it's power could make the Falchion flash when it strikes.
  6. I don't agree with that logic and I'm well aware Marth came at least 8 years before Ike when Shouzou Kaga still worked for Nintendo.
  7. The Fire Emblem shield didn't protect from arrows in his own series why should it work like that in Smash bros. The game itself mentions in the second half that the Fire Emblem with the Falchion is Marth's most powerful weapon This is how Marth should have looked in Smash. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v139/Vin.../P037_Marth.jpg
  8. You could make the same argument that his lack of a shield make him too much like Ike.
  9. The Fire Emblem shield not being important, have you played the second half of Fire Emblem 3. Heck the games title screen even shows the Fire Emblem when you start the game. That thing is one of the instrumental parts of the plot. Marth's goal in the game was to complete the Fire Emblem and it was mentioned he couldn't defeat Mediuth without it. At the end it was the Fire Emblem shield that was said to have defeated Mediuth not the Falchion. This is the namesake of the series we're talking about not some random accessory.
  10. The Fire Emblem shield is a major part of FE1 and FE3. Marth can't even weild the Falchion without it. Heck the series is named after it. But where is it Smash bros? It is like not giving Link his bow or Samus her arm canon. Second why isn't it the series icon in Smash bros?
  11. Marth lacks pants in the Snes version too. On the cover and artwork he wears pants. I believe he was intended to wear pants for the second book. Also Smash Brothers Marth is highly inaccurate as canonically he can't even use the Falchion without the Fire Emblem shield.
  12. It would be pretty cool if they had a playable brigand at least in trial maps or multiplayer and add berserker as a promotion for Daross. I'd hope they add Jake and Beck in again at least in some form. If they are doing FE3, they'd better add some axe users.
