There are several OC games ready to be hosted. I'd suggest asking in the skype group or somewhere how much interest there is in OC at the moment and also ask Paperblade when he was planning to host his game.
Regarding the clipping, I'd like to note that this issue was somewhat fixed in the 1.0.8 patch (for those that can't be bothered to read the whole research thread). It's still possible to clip through certain parts of the stage, but the stage halts there for a bit longer now, allowing you to recover in time. Reference.
As for the number of legal stages, thinking about it more, it's probably fine to have more stages the longer the tournament goes on for - the more matches are played the less variety there will be from the random stage selection.
Something like that. Life hosted it and I think he moved halfway through the game and didn't have a good internet connection anymore or something, and people just stopped playing at some point from what I can gather.
Proto [7]: Blitz, Shin, Nightmare, Crysta, Baldrick, Euklyd, Prims
Polydeuces [3]: Shin, Crysta, Baldrick
Gaius [2]: Crysta, Baldrick
Rapier [1]: Shin
Proto wins. Someone get him in here.
There's an extremely high chance that he's not going to. I don't think he was ever really inactive as far as the rest of the site was concerned for that matter.
SB should post sign-ups for his game first I think. If there's still leftover interest once that one's full, sure, but I think proper games should be prioritized.
Question for everyone: what kind of skills do you have developed by playing mafia? By that I don't necessarily mean skills limited to the mafia-context, but closer to general soft skills.
Of course it can be difficult to figure out if you already possessed a skill to that extent before you started playing, or if you developed it during the time you played mafia, but not through the act of playing mafia itself. But take your best guess.
To give an example, I'm pretty sure I've gotten better at communicating and... human resource management I guess you'd call it? Also, I'd say that while my logical reasoning skills didn't really change a lot, I've gotten better at understanding other positions and in a way accounting for errors. Lastly, some twisted version of perseverance.
How about you guys? What skills has playing mafia helped you develop or improve, or do you feel like you haven't gained anything from it?
