  1. Wow, Sharena looks good (Muninn's Egg looks nice, Swift Stance is alright, and RES Tactic is something I don't have right now), and Alfonse is neat too (Wo Dao axe is cool, and DEF Smoke is something I never thought I'd see but am happy to see... Might give it to M!Morgan if I get two of him, so Morgan can drop 3 stats at once with Grima's Truth). Hope I pull one of them. And Kagero on a pegasus is unexpected, but I still like it. Her dagger's basically a Wo Dao dagger, which is nice, but not something I have any use for. I wouldn't mind pulling her, though I won't be trying for her specifically. Catria's the one I'm least excited for, but I still wouldn't mind getting her, if only for the combination of Chill RES and her weapon's effect being pretty nice. Welp, I'm pulling on this banner, though only until I get a focus unit (preferably Alfonse or Sharena, hopefully I'll have better luck than I did when I went for Lissa/Chrom on the Winter's Envoy banner). And then I'll see what the end-of-month Legendary banner has (plz not Inigo/Young Tiki, I wanna have Orbs left for Thracia).
  2. Left-side looks like a sword user to me (the overly hopeful side of my brain says that it's seasonal Marth, but I dunno)... And I have no idea who right-side could be. Hoping for seasonal Marth, though really I'll be cool with whoever ends up on the banner. Hopefully there's nobody that interests me, so I can keep saving for the Legendary banner and Leif/Nanna, but if I see Marth, I'm gonna go at least a little bit beyond the free pull.
  3. I pulled a 4-Star Klein in the Countering Skills banner. Which is alright, I suppose. Got a 5-Star Marth pulling on the Branded King, so that's +3 for my Marth. Not pulling on that banner any more, much as I wanted F!Morgan (still, I got M!Morgan, Exalt!Chrom and Leo, so this banner still went quite well for me, really). Hopefully M!Morgan drops to 4-Star rarity in a week or so, I'd like a decent chance of pulling one that isn't -ATK in the future.
  4. @Zeo I like your ideas! Well, a couple of them seem like they might be a bit OP to me)... I'll go item by item here: Matthew: It's pretty unique among dagger-ers, and the higher-of-DEF/RES damage calculation effect sounds really good. Dragons would probably still murder him (since they'd probably cancel out his effect with their refined-breath effect, so they'd end up targeting his RES), but every other magic user would most likely have trouble with him. I would raise my Matthew to 5-Star for sure if he got this. Odin: I was underwhelmed by this at first, but then I realized that a +SPD/-HP Odin with Brazen ATK/SPD 3 (and inside Brazen ATK/SPD 3 range) initiating combat while receiving buffs from ATK Tactic 3, and Grima's Truth (for SPD) would have effective stats of [40 HP / 55 ATK / 47 SPD / 25 DEF / 25 RES], making him capable of quadding fairly reliably (even without the Grima's Truth for his SPD, he'd still have 42, which is pretty good) and dealing quite a lot of damage as he does. Granted, that would require quite a lot of investment, but it would make Odin pretty good. So, good refinement. I don't have a good Odin, so I wouldn't raise mine to 5-Star for this, but if I got a good one and he got this I would definitely consider it. Roy: I don't think IntSys will add Distant or Close Counter to weapons via Refinery. That's a pretty good refinement though. I'd hope to pull a Roy that isn't either -ATK or -SPD if he got this. Fir: RES +3 effect aside (don't think they'll give stat bonuses to weapons that can be refined, though if they did then this would probably be the one Fir would get... that or SPD), Magicbreaker 3 is amazing and I want it to be her thing please. Not sure I'd raise up that Fir I keep around for no real reason if she got this, but maybe. Rebecca: See Roy for my thoughts on it getting Close Counter. The ATK +10 feels a bit high to me, but I could see it happening. I have a Rebecca at 5-Star, and I'd definitely consider using her if she got this. Florina: Giving Florina Wary Fighter seems like a good idea to me. Also Warding Blade on her weapon is a great idea. Still probably wouldn't use Florina if she got this, but that's mostly because Hinoka and Catria fulfill my lance-flier needs... though if Florina got this, and I got a +RES one, maybe I could add a third to that... Lilina: Infantry+Flying effectiveness is... well I didn't expect Flying (if it was gonna be dual-effective, I would've guessed Infantry+Armored), but I like it. The AOE-specific Special buff is nice too, works quite well with her default skillset. If she got this, I'd finally raise my +ATK/-SPD Lilina to 5-Star just to use Forblaze. Bartre: Works damn well with his default skillset, especially the refinement-skill since he's probably gonna lose HP really quickly. I like it. Dunno if I'd use him, since I don't like units who eat through their HP as quickly as this Bartre would, but I like it. Lon'qu: The default effect seemed weird at first, but the refinement-skill makes it make sense. I like it. Wouldn't use Lon'qu, I have too many good swords already, but it's still good. Arthur: I feel like Justice Axe might be too good with the refinement-skill. Maybe if it just negated WTD instead of reversing it I'd be fine with it, but as it is it just seems too strong to me. I mean, I'd definitely use Arthur if he got this, because it looks really good, but it looks a little bit OP to me. Lloyd: Giving him Swordbreaker on his weapon... I'm honestly surprised that breakers haven't been added to weapons yet outside of the Assassin's Bow. Also the expanded regular effect is much better than what he gets now. I like it. Might consider using one of the Lloyd copies that I have if he got this. I've got a few thoughts on the matter of several units who I feel could use refinements in the future too. Not sure how good any of these are, but here, have many thoughts: Alfonse: The free swordfighter of Heroes is pretty strong and fairly bulky, if only on the physical side, but I think he needs something more to stand out after over a year of powercreep: Folkvangr [Refine]: Grants ATK/DEF +7 during combat when HP < 80% at start of combat. Refinement-Skill: When unit's ATK - foe's ATK < 3, this unit performs a follow-up attack. Sharena: Because I like Sharena and would like a reason to use her more: Fensalir [Refine]: At start of turn, inflicts ATK/SPD/DEF/RES -4 on foes within 2 spaces through their next action. Refinement-Skill: Grants bonus ATK/SPD/DEF/RES equal to penalties on foe during combat. [Each stat's bonus is calculated separately, so a foe with -4 ATK/-5 SPD/-7 DEF/-7 DEF would give Sharena +4 ATK/+5 SPD/+7 DEF/+7 RES... dunno how to explain that very well] Anna: Because I'm doing the Askr twins, might as well do the Commander as well: Noatun [Refine]: This unit can warp adjacent to any ally when own HP < 75%. Refinement-Skill: Grants ATK/SPD +5 during combat when adjacent to at least one ally. Roy: Yeah, the original version of our boy needs something rather sizable to stand out among the sea of sword users in Heroes: Binding Blade [Refine]: Grants DEF/RES +6 during combat. Grants ATK +6 when in combat vs. Breath. Refinement-Skill: Recover 10 HP at the start of each turn. Robin: The Robins are alright, but they could use something to help with their just-okay-for-the-most-part stats: Robin's Primer: During combat, grants bonus ATK/SPD/DEF/RES equal to number of adjacent allies x2. Refinement-Skill: Grants ATK/SPD/DEF/RES +4 to adjacent allies during combat. Frederick: I'm not sure if he needs one, I just had an idea I liked for this: Frederick's Axe: Grants ATK/DEF +5 to this unit during combat when adjacent to at least one ally. Refinement-Skill: This unit and enemies cannot perform follow-up attacks when this unit's HP < 50% at start of combat. Gaius: Not sure this would actually be all that great for him, but here's something that will hopefully make this thief sweet... or at least more palatable: Gaius's Confect: After combat, if unit attacked, inflicts DEF/RES -6 to target and enemies within 2 spaces through their next action; Grants DEF/RES +6 to this unit and allies within 2 spaces through their next action. After any combat this unit initiates, this unit recovers 10 HP and adjacent allies recover 7 HP. Refinement-Skill: Grants ATK/SPD/DEF/RES +6 during combat when this unit's HP - foe's HP < 3 at start of combat. Jakob: Because Felicia got a refinement, might as well give him one. Dunno if this one would actually be all that great for him tho: Jakob's Tray: After combat, if unit attacked, inflicts DEF/RES -7 to target and enemies within 2 spaces through their next action. Grants DEF/RES +5 to this unit and adjacent allies during combat when adjacent to at least one ally at start of combat. Refinement-Skill: Inflicts Special Charge -1 on enemies when this unit has HP > 50% at start of combat. M!Corrin: I'm gonna make three of these, because if anyone's going to get a multiple-choice refinement, it's Corrin: 1) Blazing Yato: Special Cooldown -1. Grants ATK/SPD +4 when this unit initiates combat. Refinement-Skill: At the start of Turn 1, grants Special Charge -1. 2) Shadow Yato: Special Cooldown -1. Grants DEF/RES +4 when attacked. Refinement-Skill: At the start of each turn, inflicts ATK/SPD/DEF/RES -4 on the enemy with the lowest HP. 3) Omega Yato: Special Cooldown -1. Grants ATK/SPD/DEF/RES +2 during combat. Refinement-Skill: When Special activates, resolve combat as though foe's DEF/RES were reduced by 30%.
  5. @Zeo I would guess that it's to keep Earth Boost active as long as possible. Are the Amelias you run into running Earth Boost?
  6. Ooh, I've got a few of these! Ice Climbers: They're not guaranteed to get back in, but since they were only kept out of Smash 4 because the 3DS couldn't handle them, I'd like to see them come back for Smash Switch, since it shouldn't have any trouble handling them. Maybe they could get their infinite-grabs nerfed in some way, but outside of that I don't see any need to change them too drastically. Inkling: I know they're already in, but I have a very specific vision of how they could play. They should have ink as a mechanic, letting them swim in it as a superfast crawl and making it slow the movement speed and lower the jump height of enemies stuck in your ink (though ink could be removed by attacking it, but since it's on the ground they'd have to use stuff like D-Tilts to clear your ink). Their jab could be a rapid-fire Inkbrush swing that covers the area immediately in front of them, F-Tilt could be a few Splattershot shots that could also be done while walking forward without stopping (like Mega Man's jab, but Inklings get a regular jab too], U-Tilt could shoot straight up to rain down ink on both sides (though for this and F-Tilt, ink-bullets would deal less damage and low to no knockback after falling a certain distance, to prevent Inklings from just spamming Splattershot near the ledge as the world's best edgeguarding tool), D-Tilt could be rolling a Roller forward to deal significant horizontal knockback and cover an area in front of her completely, Dash Attack could be running forward with a Roller to coat a decent-size area while going onto it, F-Smash could be a Blaster shot that deals massive damage and knockback with the ink-blob but eventually explodes into a less-damaging ink-burst, U-Smash could be swinging a Roller straight up to fling some ink straight up (this would also be subject to the Splattershot rule about dealing less damage and knockback after falling a ways, though it would do more damage than those moves), D-Smash could be splashing the ground with a Slosher to splash foes away with an ink-wave on both sides, aerials could be swinging the Inkbrush and Roller around, Neutral-B could be shooting a Charger, which would gain more range, damage and knockback and be able to be aimed up and down by holding B, Side-B could be throwing a Splat Bomb, a time-delayed explosive that could force enemies out of any safe zone and into your ink in addition to dealing decent damage and knockback, Up-B could be Super Jumping, which would have great vertical reach but would not be any kind of attack, making it so you're very vulnerable if you're forced to recover with this, and Down-B could be a Brella shot, a shotgun-type blast with several hits and low knockback that's more useful for racking up damage and negating enemy projectiles than for killing, and would expand into a frontal shield while B is held, and if held for long enough, the shield would shoot forward as a forward-moving wall (that could be reflected, so watch out for that). The Inkling's Final Smash would be Ink Storm, summoning a storm that covers the entire stage in your color ink and dealing low damage-over-time for several seconds. Spring Man: ARMS could use a representative, and while any representative would be fine by me, I'm expecting Spring Man, so I'll write this as though it's him getting in. I could see Spring Man being a long-range fighter, with long punches that leave him vulnerable if they miss, making him something of a Dhalsim-type. Stat-wise, Spring Man would be pretty middle-of-the-road all-around, if not a bit slow, with a fairly-average-height jump and a low double-jump. Spring Man could have a Down-B in which he charges up his gloves, making his next attack with each arm deal more damage and knockback and giving it a secondary effect, which could be done as long as at least one glove was not charged. His normal attacks could be stretchy punches with his Toasters, which would light foes on fire when charged, and his grab would be a long-ranged grab that can be angled upward and downward while reaching out (to reference the ability to curve your punches in ARMS... he'd probably also have something like this on at least his smash attacks. Also he'd be able to use this in midair, giving him a passable recovery by giving him a tether to grab ledges with). His Neutral-B would be punching out with a Boomerang, which could be aimed in any direction while B is held and would hit while moving out, during which it could be angled, and once while the boomerang returns to Spring Man, which could pull people toward Spring Man for further pain (but when charged, the boomerang would have a tornado around it, increasing its hitbox size, especially vertically, and greatly increasing its vertical knockback, making it a good tool for killing off the top). His Side-B could be a forward dash, which would be able to be cancelled into A attacks after a certain point, and when your gloves are charged, the dash would gain armor in exchange for losing the charge, giving you a way to try and get out of bad situations or muscle through edgeguarding attempts while you return to the stage (which might not help too much, since Spring Man's recovery would be craptastic outside of his tether grab, but hey, it's something). Up-B on the ground would have Spring Man punch the ground, bouncing him very high upward and letting him act very shortly after he goes airborne and use his double-jump and his Up-B again in midair. In midair, however, Spring Man would just bounce upward a bit with a downward punch, which would spike foes but wouldn't help too much as a recovery tool (he would have the tether grab for recovering though, because while I think Spring Man should have a bad recovery, I want him to have a better recovery than Little Mac at least). His Final Smash would be Rush, which would let Spring Man chain his A attacks into one another and into jumps and Side-B and Up-B (since that's technically a punch, just not directed toward his foe) as well as making all of his attacks much faster and permanently charged until the Rush ends. Captain Toad: He's got his own game, and it's coming to Switch, so I could see the Captain exploring the Smash roster. And he could be pretty unique, as a small character who's very heavy and could have a low jump and a double-jump that doesn't actually go up, instead just making him stay at his current altitude for a second or so, and he would have decent aerial speed and running speed (to reference the fact that other playable Toads in platformers, such as Super Mario Bros 2 and 3D World, are fast) while having a fast falling speed and slow walk (because that backpack is heavy). To make it so his recovery isn't completely horrible, his Up-B could be pulling out a spin-wheel-to-raise platform and riding it up a ways before hopping off, refreshing his double-jump (but not his Up-B) and giving him a decent vertical recovery. His attacks could be stuff like flashing his headlamp, pulling coins out of the ground, lifting a gem over his head, turning keys like there's a door in front of him, spinning to swing his backpack around, swinging a pickax, throwing turnips, and other stuff like that. I'm not sure what the Final Smash could be though. Also Toadette alt, since she was playable in Treasure Tracker too. Bandana Dee: I want a fourth Kirby rep, and Bandana Dee's a good option. He's already very unique for Smashers as a spear-user, and he could use it for long disjointed attacks that are decently damaging but very linear and thin (because the spear is long, not thick), and he could also use it for a spear-throwing Side-B where the spears would rise up a bit before falling and a spear-copter Up-B that rises up about as much as Final Cutter but gives Bandana Dee a long-lasting hitbox above him that hits a whole bunch of times and gives Bandana Dee greater horizontal movement control while rising. Additionally, Bandana Dee can reference his Waddle Dee brethren by wielding a Parasol for some moves, like a throw (Circus Throw plz), and a Down-B that either dashes forward with a shield that nullifies projectiles and does alright horizontal knockback on the ground or does a Falcon Kick-esque dive that goes slower and does less damage but does more horizontal knockback and nullifies projectiles below Bandana Dee with the parasol, and could also break out Beam for some attacks, like a few throws, and a Neutral-B that either does a wide beam-whip or can be charged for a powerful and large projectile blast. His Final Smash could be Flare Beam from Return to Dream Land, giving him a controllable beam-ball that deals massive damage and knockback, like a projectile version of Volt Tackle. Finally, as a Kirby-series character, I could see him having a multiple aerial jumps (maybe 3), but since he's not able to inflate himself like Kirby/Dedede and he doesn't have wings like Meta Knight, his air-jumps would be very low jumps. Decidueye: We already have Water and Fire starters, so Grass starter's gotta happen sooner or later, and my second-favorite Alolan starter would be a decent choice for this I think. Decidueye could have good air speed and multiple jumps with not-so-great ground speed, to encourage staying airborne as often as you can (you are playing as an owl, after all), and be somewhat middleweightish. The Arrow Quill Pokemon could attack with its wings and talons, and its Specials could be stuff like Spirit Shackle as a projectile that sticks grounded foes to the ground for a few seconds (but just does regular knockback on aerial foes), preventing them from jumping or being knocked off of the ground (so you could combo them easily since knockback wouldn't be a thing, but it would be practically impossible to actually kill someone with Spirit Shackle unless you get them on a moving platform as it's exiting the stage), Phantom Force for an Up-B that would teleport Decidueye like Mewtwo's Teleport, but slower and with a powerful attack when Decidueye reappears, Shadow Sneak as a Raptor Boost-esque dash-attack which has Decidueye fly forward, and if the bird reaches an enemy, teleport behind them with a powerful attack, and Sucker Punch as a counterattack for when foes get too close for comfort or someone tries to Falcon Punch you. And the Final Smash has to be Sinister Arrow Raid, Decidueye's Z-Move. Also hoping for Mimikyu as a Poke Ball summon, because I like Mimikyu but can't see one becoming playable.
  7. Crap, I read somewhere (wanna say here, but it might've been Gamepress) that it was in the datamine. Guess I got the wrong information. Ah well, that explains why Gerome didn't have it then, haha! Thanks for pointing that out!
  8. Oh my, that calendar is full of stuff! And so many Orbs (especially since I missed the BHBs being Revival'd, so I'll be getting those Orbs now)! I can try for one more 5-Star on the Branded King banner and still have plenty left for Thracia! Maybe I'll even try for someone on the Legendary banner if I see someone I really want (which, there's no Ephraim, so probably not, but who knows)! Definitely Exalt!Chrom and both Morgans since this is happening on their banner, and I'm guessing either Gerome or Lucina for the 40% side. For the 20% side, whichever of Gerome and Lucina isn't a 40%, and after that... I dunno, maybe Cherche, M!Robin and Sharena? I got nothing on this one. Cherche getting Helswath seems fairly likely, yeah. Never noticed that that was Helswath in her art tho. I was expecting Gerome to get it since it was in the datamine with him (before I found out that he was getting Poleax instead... which is also fine, though hopefully we'll get someone in the regular summoning pool with that sooner or later), but I'd be okay with Cherche getting it instead. Maybe that would be what I need to finally raise my +ATK/-RES Cherche up to a 5-Star, since I'm not getting Brave Axe+ fodder again any time soon (I gave it to my Airzura, because I am stupid and also I didn't get this Cherche until after that). As for the Miracle banner, they'll have Sigurd and Delthea for sure, since Sigurd is tempting 'cause he's very good, and Delthea is a pretty alright mage with a semi-unique weapon. Not sure which staffer they'll round out the banner with, but I really hope it isn't Mist. She isn't that good, unless they're planning on giving a weapon refinery buff in the near future.
  9. Alright, Myrrh's got Distant Counter now! Just gotta give her Quick Riposte and Reposition and she'll be complete! And I'll keep Dull Ranged on Morgan 'cause it'll make fighting -Blade tomes (and buffed ranged units in general) easier, which is good. And now he has Savage Blow x2 too. Just gotta find an A Skill for him now... Maybe Fury? It'd make him faster and more durable, and I have a healer I want to use with him to fix the self-damage, so maybe?
  10. Couple of questions: 1) Would Distant Counter be good on Myrrh (she's +ATK/-HP, if boon/bane is important here)? I've already Summoner-Supported her to fix her HP, and I could give her either Guidance or Iote's Shield, depending on whether I need her to tank bows or not, and it's not like I have anyone else who really wants it, but I want a second opinion. 2) Does Dull Ranged prevent -Blade tome users from adding their stat bonuses to damage dealt, or does it just remove the bonus from their stats and they still get the additional damage?
  11. Even better! Now I just need to decide between using some (not all, I'm saving up for Thracia) of these Orbs for pulling for F!Morgan or waiting for the (probable, though not necessarily guaranteed) Legendary Colorless Dragon, and maybe pulling a little on the next banner too, if it's a seasonal one.
  12. I believe TTs give 40 Orbs, though I could be mistaken on the exact amount. So, that's a total of 62 Orbs. That's a pretty good amount, and that's without login bonuses from the current banner (2 days of which have come already I think, so that's 11 remaining, 13 if you missed the first two days) and I think there's a TT login bonus during that as well (so 13 Orbs from that too). So a grand total of 88 Orbs. And there's any Blessed Gardens and Rival Domains maps that get added in the future... And I believe we get more Water maps tomorrow!
  13. Beat Infernal with Grima/Reinhardt/Brave Lyn/Ninian. Took several tries, but eventually I found a way to make sure Grima survived aggroing the mages and armors, and then Reinhardt and Brave Lyn killed stuff while keeping just out of range via Reposition and Ninian-dances. Beat Zephiel with Alfonse/Zephiel quests were easy enough too, since Wary Fighter kept Brave Lyn from killing him so the swordy could take on a weakened Zephiel. And then I did the all-armored (I really should've read the quest detail, I ended up doing all-infantry first with M!Morgan/Nino/Ninian/Genny, which was more difficult than the actual armor-quest, primarily because I didn't have Grima to counter everything, but also because my team was made of squishies and Morgan, who cannot counter at close range, so I didn't have anyone who could take a hit from the armors besides maybe Ninian if Zephiel attacked her and had to really rely on Ninian and my mages' superior mobility over the armors to win) quest by having Grima get all the Armor-buffs and tank everything with Aether/Fierce Stance/Vengeful Fighter/Distant DEF 3 on Lunatic. So Infernal notwithstanding, this one was pretty simple, like I vaguely recall it being the first time around.
  14. Would +DEF/-ATK Male!Morgan benefit from having Close Counter? I'm thinking of giving it to him, since with his offensive debuff + self-buff and decent-with-buffs defenses he seems like he could make good use of it (especially since he'd be able to fight dragons well enough, since the lower-of-DEF-or-RES thing would be irrelevant since both stats are the same number), but I'd like a second opinion before I burn Takumi on him.
  15. I have the great luck with this banner. I just pulled +SPD/-RES Leo (...not that great, but not terrible either... I might just keep this one, even if I don't bother with his refinement)... And +DEF/-ATK Male Morgan on the very next orb! I'm not even annoyed that he's -ATK since he'll still have 44 base ATK which is alright by me, and 26 in both defenses is pretty nice for him since between that, his actually-pretty-alright SPD and Dull Ranged he should be pretty decent on Enemy Phase after Grima's Nerf goes off... Might need to give him a different Special though, Dragon Fang isn't gonna cut it. And maybe I'll toss Savage Blow his way too, to go with his AOE debuff. Not sure what I'll do for his A Skill though... Honestly I'm just super happy that I pulled him so quickly. Means I got the one unit I really wanted on this banner, so I can start saving Orbs for the next Legendary Hero banner, and also Leif & Nanna.
  16. 22 Orbs pulled in a +RES/-HP Chrom On A Horse. Didn't think I'd get him, and his ATK is intact, so I'm pretty happy right now. Now to save up and decide whether I should try for a Morgan in the future... But I'll wait for the TT before deciding.
  17. Well, that was one hell of a finish. So, just from what I remember: Dillon's whatever-the-title-was made me think of Star Fox for some reason. Best Mario & Luigi (that I've played... never played Dream Team) getting a remake is alright by me. Kirby Star Allies looks like a good time. As I expected. Dream Friends make me happy, and getting Dream Friends updates over time makes me hope for Ribbon and Adeleine to show up in the future. And maybe Taranza. And who knows, maybe we'll see playable Galacta Knight (Marx is playable, so why not?). I can't wait for this game. And it drops next Friday, which cannot come soon enough. Mario Tennis Aces sounds nice. Not my cup of tea, but nice nonetheless. Splatoon 2's new mode looks like a fun time. I don't have my copy any more, because Splatoon 2 just didn't hook me so I returned it, but I did enjoy its single-player while it lasted. I'll look forward to looking this up on YouTube... As for Inklings in Smash...I'm excited for this. I've wanted Inklings in Smash since Splatoon 1, as well as a Switch Smash so I could take it on the go, so this makes me happy. I just hope Mega Man comes back. I like Mega Man. Also hope Xander Mobus comes back as the announcer. Because I liked his announcering. Still more excited for Kirby Star Allies, but that's mostly because A) We have more information about Kirby Star Allies than "It exists, and it has kidsquids" B) It looks like a fun game, if a bit too much like some previous Kirby games (come on Nintendo, give me a Tilt 'N' Tumble remake on Switch! You have the technology!). C) Just look at my name. Next Friday can't come soon enough. Good direct.
  18. Ah, I misread what Blarserpent does. Missed the part where it was just when a foe with those weapons initiates combat. Whoops. Well, it's still a pretty decent effect. And it'll probably be refineable for stat boosts. So I'm still looking forward to seeing this, and its Gronn-/Raudhr-versions, in the future. F!Morgan herself will probably prefer Blarblade+ (for massive damage) or Blarraven+ (to be the pega-pony-princess version of her dad), but this is still an interesting weapon to mess around with. For example, I wonder if Odin could be a decent mixed tank with this. I'm thinking a +SPD/-HP Odin with a Wind Blessing (to be fielded with Gunnthra, because I think he'd appreciate getting help from Chilling Seal to not take as much damage, plus the extra HP and RES would be good for him I think), a SPD-Refined Blarserpent+, Glacies, Dull Ranged 3, Guard 3, Threaten RES 3 and the Distant DEF 3 Seal could function as a decent mixed tank (leaning toward RES, though that's primarily because I paired him with Gunnthra), as he'd ignore buffs against ranged foes during combat, prevent foes from charging their Special when he has most of his HP, and have +12 DEF/RES when attacked, giving him total stats of [during Wind Season, and assuming I did the math right] 46 HP, 37 SPD, 37 DEF, 41 RES... and 35 ATK, but given that he'd be reliant on post-Threaten RES 3 combat and Glacies procs to deal damage, plus he's basically an Enemy Phase unit with Player Phase presence being limited to finishing off a weakened foe, so it wouldn't be all that important. This is probably a terrible idea, but it's just some late-night spitballing.
  19. True, Dull Ranged does seem pretty nice... though, I could argue that the Love Abounds weapons (Hector notwithstanding, since he brought Better Armads) are better if you want that effect since they let you run a different A skill... Although, perhaps it would be better for F!Morgan instead of M!Morgan, since her weapon basically gives her Distant DEF 3 and Bracing Blow 3 when against a ranged unit so she'd probably like being able to ignore field buffs on top of her defensive boost. But I still see M!Morgan dropping despite that, since he's the only one I really think could drop given their pattern with regards to units that get dropped (Sothe was on a banner with 2 units with 3 passives, which is also true of M!Morgan, and L'Arachel was on a banner with a new unit-type [Flying-Dragon, which also makes Myrrh sound like a Pokemon] and an alt, which is also true of M!Morgan [F!Morgan is Flying-Mage, Chrom On A Horse is an alt], and Soleil on the Heirs of Fate banner shared a color with Seigbert before being dropped, and M!Morgan shares his color with Chrom On A Horse), and they've been consistent about dropping one unit per regular banner lately (though I wouldn't be surprised if they averted this with Fallen Heroes), and he just seems like the only one they could drop to me. So I'm hoping. Also hoping that Fallen Celica drops to 4-Star (because there's no way Grima drops, and as much as I'd like for him to I don't think Hardin will either), though as I mentioned above I'm not really expecting that to happen. On a semi-related note, hopefully the units with Gronnserpent+ and Raudhrserpent+ drop to 4-Star. I understand if F!Morgan doesn't, since flying-mage was a unit-type that was limited to seasonals before now, but hopefully the Green/Red versions will be more readily available (also hoping for Raudhrowl to get on a 4-Star unit at some point, having that exclusive to Katarina kinda annoys me). Yeah, this is the thing that stood out second-most for me (first was Blarserpent+ because I wasn't expecting a new inheritable weapon type). Wonder if that's gonna be how they do Beast-units, or if maybe that's gonna be how they handle Xane.
  20. So, uh, about that new banner: I think M!Morgan's gonna be the drop-to-4-Star on this one. He's the only one with 2 passive skills rather than 3 (I know that he's got a new skill and a unique 5-Star weapon, but so did Sothe and L'Arachel and they dropped after their banners), plus he shares a color with Chrom On A Horse so I expect one of those two to drop because they did that with the Heirs of Fate banner with Seigbert and Soleil. Moving on to the banner itself, I want both Morgans (though I won't be pulling Red too much, due to the aforementioned certainty that M!Morgan's gonna drop and the fact that these units will be added to the regular pool regardless of whether I get lucky enough to pull them now or not so Chrom On A Horse isn't a priority for me). F!Morgan because she's a flying mage with a new inheritable(!) weapon-type, and I wanna play with that if I can. M!Morgan because Grima's Truth looks awesome and Dull Ranged 3 interests me. Regarding the third option, I know I expected to see Chromblem get completed at some point, though I didn't think it'd happen this soon (or this way, I honestly thought he'd be a Legendary hero). Still, Sealed Falchion looks like it has a pretty awesome effect, especially combined with his built-in Fury 3, and he's got fuck-you-for-having-high-DEF too! So those are gonna be a thing now! Probably won't pull him since I'll be pulling Blues primarily for F!Morgan, but I wouldn't mind getting him... Hang on a second. Sealed Falchion's effective-against thing has a thing for Colorless Breath. Does that mean we're gonna see Colorless dragons in the future? Also, Gerome's gonna be a Tempest Trial reward. Which is okay, since I probably wouldn't have pulled for him. Wonder if he'll be as good as his mom... Or come with good skills... Looks like I'll be pulling on the new banner a little, if only for F!Morgan. Which I just realized could be read as Female Morgan or Flying Morgan. Huh.
  21. Tried for Alm on the Falchion banner. Got +HP/-SPD Lucina instead. Dunno if she's better or worse than my +ATK/-SPD one, but now this banner has given me Aether fodder, so it's alright. Gonna wait for the new banner before I decide whether to keep trying for Alm or not.
  22. @Ice Dragon Oh, so it's just a coincidence then. Alright. Not sure what the new banner'll be now. Also, this means the next rerun will most likely be Camus, yeah? Since everyone else between him and Zephiel is in the weekly GHB rotation, I mean.
  23. I don't think so. They're rerunning Zephiel shortly after the new banner starts, so I think this one's gonna be a Binding Blade banner. Like Blazing Shadows, except maybe with fewer characters (and hopefully we'll get a dancer, since I know there were a couple of those in FE6). I could be wrong though, that could just be a coincidence. Though if it is an Awakening banner, then I'll breathe a sigh of relief, as unless it has Nah (which I consider unlikely, but we just got Myrrh and Grima, so who knows?), my Orbs can safely go toward the Falchion banner.
  24. Your regular Lyn's nature probably isn't that bad now, since Sol Katti's refinement means that Lyn's speed only matters when she attacks a 2-range enemy or has high enough HP to not be in Brash Assault+Desperation range, and the extra HP probably helps her survive the occasional attack that would've killed her to get into Brash Assault+Desperation range. I mean, +ATK/-SPD might've been better, if only for the higher damage on her auto-doubles, but your current Lyn is a pretty good one too now... At least from what I can tell. Although, it's good that your other Lyns are +SPD. They don't have the best possible version of the Brash Assault+Desperation combo built into their weapons, so the speed boost matters more for them. I only have neutral Brave Lyn (the free one) and no LA Lyn, so I'm a bit jealous. I should really get my Lyn a refinement... unless Soren (who I still need to 5-Star sooner or later) or Eirika (who I hope gets something good, since she's been replaced by post-refinement Marth for training up units) get something cool with their refinements. Then Lyn can wait a bit. Incidentally, do we know when the new weapon refinements are gonna come out yet?
  25. Welp, I gave the Legendary banner one last shot. Got Gwendolyn, Effie, Lukas, and Lon'qu. Ah well. I got two Shiros, a better Dorcas and Aether fodder for my Grima off that banner, so I'm still happy overall. Free pull on the 4+5-Star banner was a +HP/-RES 4-Star Soleil. Slightly better than my neutral one I think, so she's a keeper.
