Does anyone have any tips for getting better besides the generic cs better, watch the map etc.? I've been wanting to take my game to the next level so I can reach plat, but I'm not quite sure how exactly I can improve.
A quick and dirty way to gain elo is to specialize in a small handful of champions and know every possible matchup for that champion as well as you possibly can. You'll easily be able to outplay people of your skill level if you're playing your main champion(s) and they're not.
Any advice beyond this is basically champion/role specific
On a different note, my confidence boost of the day: Beating a Diamond I player so hard in lane that they afked

I don't understand. What the hell is the win record for people in Diamond? Like 1,000 to 100 or some shit?
It means your elo is low relative to your division placement so it's trying to match you into what it considers to be a more appropriate tier
As you win more games the ratio will even out

Yea I don't see how FE4 is possibly considered overhyped these days. Most people seem to think it's pretty dated and tedious compared to the more recent titles, which is true, so I'm not sure how people determined that it's getting more praise than it deserves.

I only remember one guy playing AP Ez on my team. AP Yi broke him and snowballed every lane against us. ><
Yeah, pushing against Ezreal is stupid easy, but I actually disagree with kill potential - Ez is pretty bursty early game. Zero lockdown though. Pick against the right champion and with the right jungler to mitigate this, and you have yourself a kill. Then again, that goes for pretty much every single solo laner, with "right" being defined more widely for some than others. I dunno, one of the places AP Ez used to be pretty decent was vs Katarina, but that was old Kata who couldn't push either.
How Ez fares against the regular mid lane bruiser/assassin types...not very well at all! As Silvercrow mentioned, he can't stop them, even if he could blink away from being killed. (Sometimes he can't.)
More or less all of that could be applied to almost any laner regardless of how bad they are. Replace "Ezreal" with "Poppy" and you wouldn't be wrong. You kinda said that already though.

How well does AD Ez fare in midlane? I'd imagine he does pretty well against most mid champs, with his blink and all.
Exactly the same as above except he can push a bit better, so he's ok I guess. He will still probably lose more often than not

The reason AP Ezreal is only pseudo-viable is because he is among the worst mid lanes you could ever wish upon your team
He has no kill potential, no ability to wave clear, and no ability to roam, so he's pretty much guaranteed to let your team get slapped around by whoever he's against. I love facing AP Ezreals in mid because even if they outplay me I can just go gank another lane and they can't really do anything about it.

Would rather even have Heal than Clarity, since regardless of whether or not you have an innate heal you can make some clutch plays with summoner heal (bait people, tower dive). Clarity is pretty much just a crutch, it's not about how often you cast your spells so much as it is how you use them

You can just buy Chalice and do the same thing but get a better summoner

And remember that you want to use the arena.
To elaborate, the arena's enemies are fixed for each chapter (so no surprises), and dying in the arena doesn't kill you, just leaves you at 1 HP. So make sure you get as many people as possible as far as possible in the arena in each chapter, it's a lot of free gold and EXP.

The Blagi Sword is kind of inconsistent, since it supposedly can be used by those of Holy Blood but Mareeta cannot wield it. However Leaf, Nanna, Fergus, and Delmud can all use it.
Unfortunately the reason Cyas has to leave is because Sety joined you. If you don't recruit Sety Cyas stays. It's pretty obvious who of the two is the better choice though. If only he got Falaflame. =/

But hmm what's the point in having more than one skin per champion? Can I get my RP back for Rugged Garen? No, what am I saying? Rugged Garen > Steel Legion Garen... Right?
You can refund it if you've bought it within a certain amount of time (couple of months I think), just go into the store and look at your "purchase history".

Out of those your best bets are Fiddles and Leblanc. Maokai is ok but not really that great. Corki and Trundle offer nothing.

That was a really bad amumu game... Why i was forced to go mid i'll never know. Atleast we ended up winning though. Your Garen is great Raven
If you're going to Amumu you should learn to jungle, it's all he can really do well and it's a good skill to learn anyway.

Learn your damage to a tee so you know when you can and can't get your resets, it's definitely the biggest skill required to play Katarina since either you will get a reset and pentakill the enemy team or die instantly and do nothing

Why are you so upset about this
The difference between Diamond 4+ and Gold elo is extremely nontrivial, so they were either playing a lane/champ they don't play, lying altogether, or most likely, not giving a shit because it's a smurf. Or they were Diamond 5 and are actually bad (see: that one guy who got to Diamond only playing AP Trynd and is now at gold elo despite being diamond). Everyone understands this except you apparently, but you'd rather just be confrontational for no reason and make everyone think less of you
