  1. I've been trying to set rec items, and it doesn't work. Specifically, the rec items page completely blanks out when I put my .json file in the appropriate champion folder. It's the appropriate folder because the item shop is changing in-game, just not the way I want it to.

The file was (in the process of attempted debugging) named arbitraryName.json and it hasn't yet been changed back out, so no conflict with the official rec item files. I have no open brackets of any sort that aren't closed, and as far as I can tell there are no quotation marks or commas where there shouldn't be. It isn't a wraparound issue on item count per section because I tested arbitraryName2.json which had 2 items per row and it still screwed up. The same file also has 5 sections (corresponding to the default 5) instead of the 3 in the below code, and it still screws up. The file content itself is directly copy-pasted from the Riot post on the matter and the appropriate fields edited. It checks out perfectly with the wiki page too.

Basically, I have no idea what's causing the problem and I'm out of ideas.

I never, ever want to leave my rec items page. Ever. Here's to hoping I don't have to.

I've been using this thing to adjust my recommended items. Has a nice UI and works quite well. Dunno what exactly would be causing your problem, but I haven't had any with that.

  2. So I ended up with a really strange team because I wanted to try something, namely whether a strong Warper can save similar amounts of turns to a flyer and whether they're worth a first pick. Obviously they're not going to compete with Florina and probably not even Fiora, but I feel they have a chance at beating out Heath. I chose Pent because I like him better and he's less prone to RNG shenanigans, but Lucius would have worked as well. Unfortunately it backfired a bit so it pretty much turned into "what happens if you use a bunch of prepromotes". Should be interesting nonetheless and although I don't expect to win, I can at least get an idea of how useful some of these units are (as I rarely if ever have used some of them, like Isadora, Rath, and Vaida).

    Chapter 11: Another Journey (6/6)

    Chapter 12: Birds of a Feather (5/11)

4-turning this chapter is unfortunately impossible (or at least it must rely on some stupid hitrates) without Oswin, and Serra is completely useless here.

Chapter 13: In Search of Truth (6/17)

I am unfortunately forced to go west here which costs me one or two turns. Serra tanks the stuff near the start, really shows how awful the enemies in this game are

Chapter 13x: The Peddler Merlinus (7/24)

    Chapter 14: False Friends (4/28)

Marcus just kills everything here, Hector deals with the stuff near the start and the pirates below. Serra lures one soldier who was too far out of the way over to Erk, who kills it.

    Chapter 15: Talons Alight (7/35)

Marcus kills the boss, nothing special here

  3. Ez is getting attack speed and crit out of triforce in addition to those other things

I guess you can fit Frozen Fist in as your defensive item if you went a PD build, but yea I wouldn't build it with Triforce.

  4. How?

At least it would be "Ka- e" but "Kai"? Never heard of, honestly, or at least that's how latin is taught here.

ae is a single phoneme in latin.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%86

In Classical Latin, the combination AE denotes the diphthong [aì¯], which had a value similar to the long i in fine as pronounced in most dialects of modern English.

Someone that actually learned Latin like Lumi can no doubt explain it better than I can, but as far as I'm aware the sound "Ch" was hardly ever made in latin, ever, and only surfaced in later languages like Italian and French that were based on corruptions of latin (like Carolus Magnus -> Charlemagne etc).

  5. "Cae" is NOT pronounced "che" in Latin. I dunno where on earth that came from. It's pronounced "Kai" like was said earlier and you can see that in the german word "Kaiser" (corruption of Caesar).

    That said Caeda is fine.

EDIT: thinking about it, he's probably mixing up Latin and Italian, in which Caesare is pronounced "Ches-ar-e"

  6. whatever calculates your time remaining probably just takes into account the rate at which is queue is progressing at the time, which can give you a faulty estimate.

Anyway I'm glad Diana got gutted. That Champion's been utterly stupid since her release.

Also I changed my summoner name to Silvercrow since it became available, but I guess it doesn't matter since the op of this topic is seemingly dead

  7. Mounted units can continue to gain stats after 20 because they lose stats when they dismount

Leaf gains leadership based on his tacticians, August and Dorias each give a leadership star when they're present

And yea take some of the character opinions in those posts lightly, Marty > Dagda and Olwen > Eyrios are pretty egregious but I may have missed some others

  8. Wait, no no no. Not the holy blood scrolls! I'm abusing the heck out of those. I meant the scrolls that teach skills. Like the wrath and elite scrolls. Sorry for the confusion xP

Oh yea I know, I was talking about the Crusader Scrolls as something entirely different. Sorry for the confusing wording.

I think the lingo for the skill things is "Manuals" or "Books" to distinguish them.

  9. Thanks for your input guys. I wasn't really thinking of using the stat boosters and scrolls to 'fix' any characters. I just thought one hilariously OP unit with 10+ move and a bunch of random skills would be amusing to have control over. Even better if they're all wasted on a healer like Safy. I'll probably regret it though lol. If you guys don't wanna see that I'll just distribute them as I normally would.

If you use scrolls well you'll be cap ramming on most of your characters towards the end of the game. But it's up to you.

  10. Honestly I wouldn't dump everything on a simple character in this game (unless you decide you really want to use Shanam or something). Stat caps are low and you'll find later that character strength is really not the limiting factor in this game. You've probably gotten a taste of this already where you have guys like Othin that can oneround almost anyone, but the game still finds ways to throw moderately challenging scenarios at you.

Just give stuff to people to patch holes in their stat or skill distribution. For example if you decide to use Olwen later, Ambush is super good on her, but if you don't you may want it on someone else that can deal a lot of damage quickly (like Shiva or someone).
