  1. New ones I've thought up:

    • I prefer Effie as a General; instead of a Great Knight
    • Route the Enemy objectives don't bother me because with my play-style I end up killing all the enemies anyways (most of the time)
    • I found Nino pretty fun to train up
    • Delthea is easily better than Luthier
    • Clair is best Pegasus Knight in Echoes
    • L'Arachel is easily worst character in the series for me
    • Started FE 6 not to long ago (just recruited Sue, Dorothy and Saul), I'm liking the whole Seize as the main mission objective.
  2. Don't be an asshole about your opinion and enforce your dislike for game like people on this site do when it's uncalled for and you should be fine. Although opening up with:

I mean, I think have as much disrespect for FE13 and FE14 as this guy clearly does

can give off the impression that you are already there.

    Maps:

The enemies are never pathetic (Chapter 30 of FE 7 still had un-promoted enemies), Dragon Veins allowing player controlled terrain (my favourite one is the one that solves movement issues in deserts and the map where you create duplicates of your team), no same turn reinforcements, Fog-of-War that is more friendly on the player phase and with the exception of the Rainbow Sage stages; they play differently, even when they are in the same location (Birthrights Opera House is different from the other routes, Conquests Port Dia is different from Revelations, all the story campaign ship chapters are different from one another). I like that with Revelations, they tried to be different with the platforms.

    Characters:

This is completely subjective and most of them worked for me; I liked Niles sexual innuendos, Azama's snarky remarks, Peri's childish tone, Mitama's haiku's, Camilla's obsessiveness. If you read that and think ugh... nothing I can say can convince someone else other wise.

  3. Prepare yourselves:

    1. Corrin > Robin
    2. Shadows of Valentia is not a good game in any shape or form (can't be bothered to finish it)
    3. These games cannot write a canon couple for it's lords if their lives depended on it
    4. None of the games have writing to write home about
    5. Alm is my least favourite lord because of those stupid puns and "dorky" comments
    6. Felicia > Jakob
    7. I had a sigh of relief when Robin became the main focus over Chrom
    8. I find the complaining about fan-service designs more abhorrent than any of the designs themselves
    9. As Jeigans goes.. Marcus (FE 6 & 7) isn't anything special

I thought this would be longer

  4. Favourite: Fates:

    • Removing that part in Birthright if you don't have an A support with Kaze
    • Improve the speed of 1st Gen. Mages like Orochi and Odin
    • Have the story chapters in Revelations give out more gold.

Least Favourite: Shadows of Valentia (the only game I dislike):

    • Improve running controls in the shrines
    • Less Cantors
    • Less emphasis on terrain
    • Make the game less luck based
    • Don't have enemies that appear on the world map follow you, it doesn't make me want to back track
    • Less wide open maps
    • Every map on Celica's side
    • Improve cut-scenes
    • Have a woman on Alm's not having to be rescued
    • Make Alm x Celica less convoluted and generic
    • It's 2017, their are no excuses for re-used maps like how they do it in this other than laziness

  7. Amelia: A general that doubles, is a fun general.

Natasha: Her stat distribution reminded me of Elise without a horse and I like using Elise.

Nino: Yes I actually used her and promoted her at level 20... still better than Eliwood

Felicia: Flame Shuriken or Felicia's Plate, that's all I needed for her to be useful; and I play as the Female Corrin all the time.

Orochi: I just finished a play-through of Birthright on Classic (Normal) and she made it to end-game and actually did stuff.

  8. I really like survival, they time a limit that I'm oddly a fan of and without the stress of making point A is defended. I really love stuff like Conquest Chapter 12/15/18, that has multiple objectives within a certain amount of turns. I've playing a little of FE 6 and I'm loving the everything is seize objective; it allows me to get all the chests without worrying about the chapter being over before I can.

  9. I buy what I want; I want none of Echoes DLC so their for I don't buy them, and I haven't bought all the DLC from Awakening and Fates (The child festival DLC I would buy in a heartbeat). I played the one where you get the paragon skill a lot in Awakening.

  10. FE 6 seems like the most logical because of Roy's popularity and I would like to see it updated (even though Echoes makes me the hate idea of more remakes) with more acknowledgement of FE 7. I know FE 6 came first; but they introduced major characters like Lyn and Ninian and you know they would never be relevant after FE 7 (in the games themselves not within the fandom).

  11. FE 7: Hector, he's a lord so it's a little unfair; but he's so exceptional at what he does in a game where on the first play through Eliwood is fucking forced (not a fan). Hector was a breath of fresh air.

FE 8: Joshua, he has a coolness vibe about him; and it's effective (I ate it all up). It helps that he does his job really damn well.

FE 13: Henry, I found his shtick entertaining and charming. Nostanking is glorious so that's a plus.

FE 14 B: Ryoma, he's Ryoma; the Hoshido equivalent to Camilla in usefulness.

FE 14 C: Camilla!Velouria, an amazing first impression. She was a one woman army.

FE 14 R: Camilla, because her usefulness defies all forms of logic. It also helps that she makes every child she can have good (Revelations gives her the most options).

FE 15: Delthea, she's a tiny ball of just pure destruction and it's glorious. Her brother needed more grinding than she did; and having her just utterly destroy Berkut and what's his face had me laughing my ass off.

Heroes: Julia, she's my team captain for a reason.

  12. I think Gaiden/Echoes did it both the best and worst with how they decided to work it. Best because it's pretty strong and balanced in a way that doesn't feel overpowered or under powered. Worst because we get the emphasis on terrain map design in Gaiden/Echoes in general that give Magic an extra appeal to use.

Fates is weird because the best Mages are people like Elise and Sakura who start off as healers, whereas people who start off as Mages like Odin and Orochi aren't great (Ophelia and Rhajat vary depending on Mother).

    Awakening is stupidly over-powered.

    GBA:

FE 7: Pretty good, they do what they are expected to due

FE 8: Lute and Bishops; if can get access to Bishop... their is no reason not to promote to that class.
