Yeh I sorta hate the body, so if I'm struck with motivation at some point, I'll re-do it as an actual body rather than robe-ish clump :v
-
I spent a lot of time on the head/face and then sorta got bored and ended up just doing a mass of robes for the body.

Just some of my workspace on roughly how I got to the head.

Oooh I should definately make time to join this one, people are going all out!

I think you'd need to change the 5th skin tone back to outline with the new darker cloth colour, other than that it's a pretty clean and simple splice, the main critique I have is that it still fairly looks like eliwood, maybe if you spliced smaller parts? Iono

Archer/Longbow
Loljpeg haha silly phone(at a holiday house and can't upload any other%

I Dno but the trim just doesn't compare to the decorative one on your shannan, you need it to look raised as opposed to flat/ pillowed, if your still having trouble I'll compile some examples when I'm home, till then, possibly take a look at how I did it on my justice sprite, it isn't perfect but it might help
-
Hair's flat, trim's shit, shirts good(considering it's only got 2 shades), smiling frames are top row, not bottom, further shoulder pad sits differently to the closer one, looks like he's tilting his arm(imo I find it weird, plausible though.).
Just a note, the shirt has 3 shades.
I think you'd want to focus on the shoulderpad shape first and foremost, the focus on the trim. To me it seems that you added the trim holes in at the end? It might just be that they're pillowy, where as the trim should go in lines? Like the gap in an 'A' or a 'P' the lines go around rather and form the shape iono if that makes sense, id give a visual example but I'm at my holiday house and only have my fone net no net for my lappy

Disregard this, silly iPhone dp'd

What I said was harsh, and I shoulda addressed it via IM or PM, not in your topic, it's probably the first thing I've done to you that I actually agree paints me as the arrogant jerk you think I am, the point I was trying to make, was that I don't understand how you(not just you either, there are other people who do it too) don't want to make their Sprites as flawless as possible, I understand some peoples motivations are to just have fun doing it, but iono, I guess it's just me, i like to be very good at the things I do.
However, I will defend myself on one thing, I critique in tha hopes that people might look at it, agree with some or all of it or they try to find something else to fix it(whether they do itt to how I or someone suggested(if that's what I did) or in their own way, I know editing flaws out of a sprite isn't always fun but the satisfaction when you look at somethin, post it and the response is unanimous praise IMO make up for the effort spent editing) I guess that's just how I feel and I know everyone doesn't feel that way, I just don't really understand it sometimes(this next example doesn't relate to you Nickt) I don't understand hen someone posts a sprite once, gets a fair bit of cnc and later complains that no one praised it... Anyway I'm rambling... Again I'll reiterate, previous comment probably not appropriate for public forum, I shouldn't have said it, AND I don't cnc to be arrogant, I do it to try and help people improve and in the hopes that people might return the favor so that I can in turn improve my Sprites...
TL:DR :-/ I wall o' text without meaning to :-/

Thoe strands and the Tiara still bother me, I'm sure I'll fix it eventually though :)

More a post of updates and tidbits.
Re-shaded Elincia's hair completely OLD I'm much Happier with the result.
Re-did 99% of Cybil to be younger(I don't think I'd posted this yet), Then I lengthened the hair again.
<Previous version, may be used for part 2 of FE7X as she's older then.
Stefan Wip is obviously WIP ish, I want to go through and finish his face/body completely then maybe just make a video of how I shade his hair, iono?
Niime, the extension is only rough so that I could gauge her arm quickly, she'll be using a crystal ball as augury, took off her necklace and earrings cause ti was all too much, I need to give her a new earring now, Also updated her poofy part further to hold some semblance of gravity.
Also currently re-doing my Nasir
Using bits and pieces fromt he other mug and then just customing the rest(I may or may not have posted this, I get confused with what I post on blasts/IRC chats and in actual forums :|)
Small update on Nailah's hair shading, a few strands still bother me so I might further refine it.

I guess it's sort of her having her far shoulder slightly raised and her arms crossed, head pulled back a little and staring ahead? I dno, I think it makes sense although It might be a bit of a stretch to call it comfortable.
-
:C
The head is too big and the hair lacks depth in some places.
^This, she also needs to be much much Cuter! :F
She seems like she should be A lot more petite too, like comparing to her arts and fe4 sprite.
Anyways I'll throw up something I found quite interesting
Currently yours is on the left side, and those 3 are all at the same scale, which is significantly larger than the 3 on the right, these women all seem like they should be smallish, particularly Tiltyu and Tinny, I just think that you might want to have a look at the 3 on the right for a better scaling guide.
Again, I'll reiterate, she needs to be cuter :D Her arts and fe4 sprite are all so adorable :D She actually has one of my favorite fe4 sprites.
p.s. the Tinny and Ishtar on the left are by Nayr and the Tinny on the right is by Chalpy/Blackavar, so if you want to ref it for more than just size you may want to try for permission.
-
Look at his feet (the left guy). The main problem is they are too green, real feet are not that green. Secondarily they are a bit too thin for the body, I'd suggest at least trying to shade them differently. I'd suggest looking in a book about human anatomy because Fire Emblem characters are supposed to look exactly like real people as you can tell by them looking just like people in the games.
The only other minor things I see wrong are the ghost hands, they have a pink outline that real people don't normally have.
THESE ARE NOT SUGGESTIONS, THESE ARE VEILED ORDERS.
I'd have to agree completely, magenta ghost hands are just something that can't be abode by in any serious spriting attempt.
Shading the feet is definitely a good order too.

I really like the design and his turtle neck's come out quite nicely haha seeing sety makes me want to go through and finish my old lineart of him I started, I had this thing where I'd go through and make the relatives of Characters that Chalpy/Blackavar had done
*she did nanna, I did lachesis(and delmud, though I'm re=doing him, well I started to at least)*
*she did Fury, I did Fee*
*she did Levin, I started Sety*
*she did Tinny, I went through and re-did miss tama's Tiltyu*
Then there's the main set I did, related to her Ishtar haha
Anywayyyyys i'm way off topic, the problem areas are the shoulderpads the hair and the face.

Longbow 'wo' man Normal build(3)
For fe7x(Battle sprite by Yeti of course)
I know there are still some issues that I need to fix, particularly for the hair to look better in the blonde colours, so I might fix the shading on one of the blondes and then apply it to the others and see if that works(as in shade the hair as if it were lighter and hope it looks ok on the darker tones)
Bennet, Fe7x, Soldier/Halberdier(Battle sprites again, by Yeti)
Mainly still tweaking his face and scarf, I'm pretty happy with most of it, but if you guys see something you think I should address, just let me know.
Anyways :D yeh!
p.s.
Doubled up the string for the mid(2) Thief :)

Ok, I'll try and be pretty precise here.
Percival, Priscilla, Ursula and Marissa
For one Percival's cloak shading isn't one of the better ones.
Here's a compilation I created roughly rating cloak shading, left being bad, right being good, it's done in 10 columns.
As you can see, Percival's is far left, to further make things worse, it seems you re-sized it on ms-paint leaving the outline incomplete.
NOTE: If you do re-size things on MS-paint, you need to revise the shading and check the outline after you've done so, I prefer to manually crop them in if I'm re-sizing but this isn't for everyone.
Other than the bad shading on the cloak, due to the above factors, the hair shading is plentiful in issues, rather than a nice open space of lightest hair tone to convey the hair, you have small strips, you can see in the example where I've taken a sprite of mine(Fee, green hair) Who has a similar hair style and what I think is quite balanced/nice shading, I've re-coloured the lightest hair tones on both of these portraits red and then removed tthem, you can see how much more red is used in mine, if you do this to priscilla, ursula or Marissa too you will see that this is also the case, you want a nice flowing section of lightest hair tone devoid of strandy lines cutting it off(Only on rare occasions and generally with more complex hairstyles does this not apply)
Have a look at Fee's, ursula's and Priscilla's hair shading and think about using ursula and Priscilla's original shading if you do fix the portrait.
Finally the hair part, you want the part to contain depth, so like Lyon and Fee's try using a bit of darkest hair shade in there too.
Finally, your colours seem very off, the reds are much too saturated for fe6/7 border and the rest of the colours in general don't seem to work that well.
I'd go through and further redline, highlight and point out other issues, but for now I'll leave you with this as i don't know how willing or capable you are of sorting through these main blatant problems first.
