  1. The Revelation path was mentioned on the US one but I've already forgotten the date. Did anyone else here catch it and remember it?
  2. Okay, so I have both Birthright and conquest on one card, and I beat Birthright last night, but to my great disappointment, no Support or Sound Test function opened up in the main menu. Is this because I haven't beaten Conquest, or is there actually no Support/Sound Test options in these games?
  3. I've been wondering about this. I knew Aptitude wasn't legit on any first gen units except Mozu, but I was curious as to what other skills are illegit. For the reference, you cannot pass down DLC class skills to your kids. I tried it with Aether. Didn't work. So if somebody already is a Great Lord class, and a child had the same class's skill, it's prooooobably hacked.

  6. ^ I am not above cheap workarounds. If it would be relatively simple or at least not super-duper complex, having a message box with a nonmoving portrait is perfectly fine. It's probably still far out of my reach though, given that I have no knowledge of XNA programming. :( But it was just a thought, and I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. Thank you for answering!
  7. I'm just at Chapter 21 in Birthright and I am just immensely disturbed at how these things seem to be made of jelly and...whatever the flip they do to attack is just even more disturbing. I haven't finished the chapter yet, but is there any explanation as to what the heck these things are, besides the help menu text when you select their class on the bottom screen?

  9. Precisely how hard would it be to add in a feature where the characters comment on their level ups, like that of FEA/Fates? I've come to really enjoy that aspect of those games, and would like to add it to my own as well.
  10. Characters missing with a 90% hit and then getting hit REPEATEDLY by enemies with 30-40% hit. "Favors the player" MY FOOT.

  12. Say that you're visiting My Castles online that are made to be easy skill castles... Can you get skills from the same person's castle more than once per file, or only once? I guess I'll find out tomorrow, but... I need help in the decision-making for which skills to get. lol
  13. I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I really don't want to read through all 141 pages of this topic for the answer to just one question, lol. By the time I got that done, I might have found the answer out myself. Is there a way to get infinite level ups in the form of reclassing constantly, at least in Birthright? My characters keep getting awful level ups, and I kind of need to know if they'll be salvageable at some point with enough work, or if I should drop them.
  14. I'm honestly torn between the two, in a way. [spoiler=early chapter spoilers] On one hand, the fact that Garon used my character as a pawn to kill the Hoshidon queen and get through the barrier REALLY ticks me off and makes me want to turn against him with all my being--and that's really what influenced my choice. (besides the fact that I DID get Birthright--I still have the money to go buy Conquest if I so desired.) On the other hand, I find it really hard to believe that after such a short time of being with the hoshidon family, your character has developed enough of a bond to actually do the whole emotional breakdown+Roaring Rampage of Revenge that he/she does after her birth mother is murdered. Since I came into this knowing full and well that the story has horrific plotholes, I'm just going to headcannon it as 'the reason my character flipped out was because she realized Garon had been using her as a pawn all this time, without care for the value of ANYONE'S life' This is why I bought Birthright. "I'm gonna end up with all three anyway. Which game's aesthetics do I like most?"
  15. Geez, how long did that take to animate? And what did you animate with? I demand to see more of your ms paint images in action. XD
  16. I see. Then it sounds like there might be a workaround. Not the kind of thing I was hoping for, but hey, sometimes you just have to take shortcuts. lol
  17. So what I'm getting from this is that it's REALLY hard to make a post-game unlock, but not for something akin to FE7's Lyn-to-Eliwood mechanics, or FE8's Ephraim/Eirika story split?

I have mostly been inactive because of skyrim, but I'm starting to return a little to the project again, which means I haven't used the blur frame like I said I would, but that'll probably be in my next edit. This was mostly fixing errors, getting images of the bow at every angle (for a future crit animation) and finishing that last sprite. Also making the bow match his drawing. Would post more, but SCHOOL TIME!

My idea was more like something requiring two different playthroughs, as once you beat one file, you unlock a new mode that stars different characters and different maps, and also a side of the story you don't get to see in the first. So I guess more like Eliwood mode and then Hector mode? Or FE8, minus the first 8 chapters. Ah, this sounds great, and just what I need for the EX chapters! Thank you for replying. Now I can start planning.

Okay with FEXNA I know "All things are possible" so what I am wanting to ask is precisely how difficult would it be to add something akin to FE7, where when you finish one person's story, you get to play from a different character's PoV? Very difficult, I'm sure... I also want to know how possible it is to make EX/Gaiden chapters where the characters you control are not your normal units. (Similar to Chapter 5x in FE8.) If anyone can answer these questions, I'd appreciate it. :D
  22. You had me laughing so hard at one point, my eyes were tearing up. Best video thus far. You know what? Somebody ought to take up making "Everything Wrong With" videos on video games. It would be a blast. XD
  23. Animating the bars coming in would be cool, but I was aiming towards the bars already being there when the background loaded. (or just being part of the background, period.) The main issue would be getting the portraits to load at the correct height, which I dunno how FEXNA even handles that.

Phrasing this so that it is NOT a yes/no answer because I know the answer will always be "yes it's possible," LOL Precisely how hard would it be to narrow down conversations scenes so that people who cannot do quarter bodies don't have to deal with how tiny their sprites are in comparison to the huge screen? For example: Something akin to this. (I was just slapping some things together for display, here.)
