You don't necessarily need to trust me(especially given who else seems to be reading this topic) but I'll go ahead and give some opinions because I'm bored. Treck or whatever his name is kinda reminds me of Brock for some reason. His left (our right) pauldron seems either way sharper than the other one or at an awkward angle, and I personally think the AA'ing between it and his sleeve could do without the outline color there. Also, there's one pixel from that pauldron's trim above his chestplate that doesn't seem like it should be there. I've only got one little problem with Clarine, and that's that the part of her hair that hangs down ends right where it looks like it would be going down her shirt, in which case it ought to cast a different kind of shadow, I'd think. Not that it would make sense for that to happen, anyway. Yeah, the first loop on the near part of her whatever looks a teensy bit jagged, but that's pretty negligible. And besides, maybe your style of doing trim just involves that 1-2-L-1 thing. Roy, unfortunately, looks almost like nothing was changed unless you look at him for a while. While I love what you did to his cape and pauldron, his skin tone looks a little bit ghostlike. But again, I don't have any idea what I'm talking about XP I do like how you made the first two smiling, though XD

Um, there are plenty of things in FE8 that would probably be tougher to change than what was listed. But anyway, FEditor won't do much about changing CC's name--you'll want to use GBAGE, NLZ, or a similar program for editing compressed data. I went and found the location for you-- Seize conditions might not be too hard either, but I haven't tried yet.

I'm certainly in favor of a mapping competition. I mean, now that this is out, there ought to be more entries--and hey, mapping is a useful skill, even if only because it forces you to be resourceful and creative.

Meh. 'Bout time I stopped procrastinating and did this. It was really more an exercise in Graphics Gale than anything (spent about 30 minutes just figuring out how to recolor) but the sprite's not too bad, either. Could've spent more time on the hair, but having 3-color Cath, 4-color L'Arachel, and 2-color Myrrh was really annoying.

Um, what? No, seriously, you did more with the trim than anybody else. If anything, the extra comments about stuff like the face should tell you that I was being truthful

Y'know what, Boney? I like your sprite's trim the best. By like, a lot. The hair's pretty good, too, though it obscures the face a tad much for my taste. Also, DAT COLLAR is way huge. But that was probably intentional.

Except it's not really a mistake, and there's not really any specific standard that the host of the competition wouldn't be meeting. I mean, do YOU want to be typing out Nickt's name on a QWERTY keyboard?

Myz's crest was disqualified due to it not being a "mug", not because it extended beyond some hackbox. Actually, does anybody remember this? It was technically accepted in a mug competition. But I actually didn't read some of those super long posts, so maybe I don't really have a right to be talking about anything and should just get back to spriting.

Blast you for pointing out what I was going to do next week so it's not nearly so unexpected!

Well I just joined like a week ago <_< EDIT: Wait, this is like, the 2nd off-topic post. I'll go ahead and edit this in a sec to have critique... Might repeat stuff Nickt said, though =/ EDIT2: Florina-That double-hair color thing is done oddly since his bangs have such a dark outline, and it should also be noted that there are a few strands of blonde outside the main area. Not sure if that's intentional. His shoulders are exceptionally wide, and that near silver part looks pretty darn pillow shaded from here. And of course, the angle of his head is weird, but that's Narshen's fault. Nobody likes Narshen. taugenichts-This one didn't stand out to me much before, but it's actually pretty well-done now that I look at it. There's an awkward line of red in the silver part of his hair on our left, and his clothes are made of angle problems. For whatever reason, the trim on his collar is more jagged on the near part and less on the far part than what Narshen began with, which is weird. That, and it's a pretty simple splice below the face. Lumi-I can't quite tell zoomed out if you shaded his headband, but my monitor may be to blame. There's unnecessary outline throughout his hair, and that collar looks pretty off. The near pauldron's trim can't help but seem thicker than the far one, even though I know you were just doing that due to perspective. Also, the area below the neck looks pillowed. C_A-First and foremost, I like what you did with that fire. Now, the hat's angle is off (again, blame Narshen) and I'm not a fan of how you just flipped the hand to, err, flip it. It actually looks fine at first, but when you compare the gloves' trim... Bleh. Also, there's no way it's fitting in a hackbox, and it's not recolored despite just being a simple splice. MarioKirby-I like the one on the right more, even though the left one's probably more accurate. His hairline seems pretty short--maybe you could've added some hair below his headband or something. Some of the hair is messily done (is that red I see?) and that Heath-Narshen pauldron combo looks kinda weird. Oh, looks like you shaded it with the right one and not the left... Does that mean the right one's your entry? It's hard to tell. Pretty basic comments; I don't feel like going in-depth or even copying them into Paint for examination.

I think she was saying that you should've gone and entered the contest.

Wow, that's a lot of sprites <_< Maybe I should've entered mine even though it sucks... =/

And maybe change it to "Vampyr"? XD That's some creative stuff you did for that cloak, though. All in all, it looks quite a bit like a younger Ashtor. The hair is disappointingly simple, however. (I never understood why cloaked shoulders are always flat, too. It makes no sense to me =/ )

No, no, don't redo the entire sprite XD I just mean his back is flat. And also, the capitalization of "Untitled RPG project" implies that the actual name of the project is "Untitled", which is the name of my hack (as if my oh-so-unimportant identity wasn't obvious already by my odd spacing style) =/

NOOOOAnyway, some of the chestplate shading kind of irks me, particularly the part below his neck. It looks like you intended to stick some 3rd color in, but didn't. Also, the leather straps (?) can't seem to help but look a tad pillowed, especially the one on the bottom, below the chestplate. Lastly, he needs back surgery. EDIT: Ninja'd. Stupid dishes.

At 35 colors, it's a bit over the limit. Really, though, most colors seem unchanged (and then there's that one white pixel) Moreover, with its red, yellow, green, blue, and purple, it nearly qualifies as a rainbow.
