  1. Hey, random FE4 pairings can be fun. It's how I discovered that Arthur can be pretty broken with Lex as a father. Randomized FE games sound like a nightmare, though.
  2. Asking me to play SD and give Lyn love? Man, this place is more brutal than I imagined.
  3. A major part of Hector is how deceptive his personality was. He was loud and boisterous, but his whole purpose in BS is greatly downplayed just by virtue of him merely being positioned as Eliwood's sidekick. In reality(If you want to consider Hector Mode as the same events as Eliwood's story, but with more input from Hector), he actually manages to learn more about the plot, learns more about Nergal and morphs. In fact, it's Hector's persistence that manages to let the heroes ultimately win in 7. He also manages to resolve more conflicts and recruit more people to his army. And since his is the route you get Karla in, wouldn't that make his version of the events the canonical version? So I'd say there's slightly more to Hector than just being loud and reckless. I'd add persistence. Also his sweet beard is a pretty defining trait.
  4. First, release an English translation of New Mystery on the Virtual Console. That game is so much better than Shadow Dragon and the original FE3 that it's a crime it never made it west. Then(Or at the same time, I doubt they'd put off development for the west to get NM), begin work on Echoes: Jugdral Chapter 1 and 2, with 1 being Geneaology and 2 being Thracia 776. Or, if they want to be especially ambitious, combine them into one game and tell one whole story. Work Leaf's liberation into the second generation of Geneaology's story or something along those lines. The ideas behind the stories of both games are solid, so a good writer could likely combine them into a grander story. Honestly, the idea of combining them together is getting me too excited. The idea of seeing stuff like a young Galzus showing up in Sigurd's campaign, possibly interacting with Aiya and Holyn, and then seeing him prior to the Mareeta stuff... No, can't get my hopes up.
  5. I've been a fan of the series for about as long as anybody outside of Japan possibly could be a fan of Fire Emblem. Like a lot of people, my interest was born from Melee, seeing Marth and Roy, and thinking "Cool, who are these guys?", and jumped at the chance to pick up a Fire Emblem game when I saw one being advertised in the back of a pamphlet that came with either Final Fantasy: Tactics Advanced, Sword of Mana, or LoZ:ALttP for the GBA(Nintendo was promoting these high-profile RPG/Adventure games together a lot in the early GBA days), and fell in love with the series. I posted frequently on IGN's Fire Emblem board during my teenage years, and stopped talking about the series online after Radiant Dawn and IGN kind of booted the game boards in the corner. But Nintendo's been pushing Fire Emblem very hard these last 3 years, and the announcement of four game all at once has me itching to talk about this series again, and this has always been my go-to site for FE info. So howdy, I'll probably be here a lot so long as Fire Emblem keeps getting this special treatment from Nintendo, and they don't shove it in a corner again.
