I'd disagree with that evaluation in Hector; I feel like he's a lot more careful than people give him credit for. Hell in FE7, Hector's the one that talks Eliwood out of recklessly running out on more than one occasion (like in the chapter False Friends)

I also need help deciding who to 5* next. Currently thinking of 5*ing Sharena and replacing Ephraim on my team with her but would like to hear other opinions.

Same, probably gonna just skip the Armor quest. Might even need to skip the flying one since the best one I have is 3* Narcian :/

I would say Effie. If you already have Julia, she fills Nino's green mage slot. Nino is arguably better than Julia if you have a team built around her, but that takes a lot more work. Not to mention, Effie has the 2nd highest BST in the game after Hector, so she's incredibly good for ranking high in Arena! (I'm jealous of your Effie bc mine is actually +Spd, -Atk)

I'm just happy that they confirmed new characters and story every month. It's March now, so I can't wait for when they add new things (probably March 15 or so as the current banner ends on the 14th I believe). Also I wasn't expecting more original characters aside from Alphonse/Sharena/Anna, Veronica, and Totally-Not-Zacharias, but I'm quite excited to see what they're like!

This is with one death, so if I get a flawless run later this week I'll repost. In the meantime...

Ike and Lyn may have had recycled artwork from the title screen, but this maybe opens up the possibility for that artist making brand new art for the characters not on the title screen (like Leo for example)? Idk I'm trying to be optimistic bc I do actually quite like that art style even though I do wish they put a bit more effort into the calendar backgrounds.

This is my current Arena team. Any ideas on improving it would be greatly appreciated. (I know replacing Olivia with a 5* would give me more points, but she's such a core part of my Arena offense that I have a hard time letting her go)

It's hard to say because the gains in the intermediate levels are unpredictable; for all you know, your Robin will gain a bunch of speed later. There is a way to check though. If your male Robin is over level 20 (which he is), go to Unlock Potential (doesnt matter if you dont have the feathers to actually do it or not), and it should show you his level 1 stats as a 4*. You can then go to the Fire Emblem Heroes wiki to compare those with his base stats to figure out his boon/bane.

The stat variations shouldn't ever be more than a 1-3 point difference though. Do you happen to know the boon/bane? (There are ways to check as long as he is either level 1 or anything above 20) He may still be salvagable. Also the promotion does make a considerable difference. I know from personal experience that my Robin was pretty trash as a 4*, but I promoted him because I had no other Takumi counter at the time. And he's doing significantly better now! Maybe yours could be the same way?

My favorite is actually the one splitting the teams that everyone seems to hate. It makes it easier to focus down half the enemy team at a time instead of taking them all on at once. The bridge map can go choke though.

The hint points pretty heavily at it being Ursula, who is both a mounted unit AND a blue mage, both of whom F!Robin are good against.

I had 120 orbs saved up for Eirika and Ephraim and blew them all on their focus (I never did end up getting Eirika, but I did get two Ephraims, a Julia, a Seliph, and two Ryomas, so I'd say that's a pretty good haul :P). I now have...7 orbs. I'm probably going to start saving up for the inevitable Tellius focus now.

As a general rule, gacha games will never make free characters as good as characters you have to pull for, to incentivize you to pull for the better units. And yeah, sure, Nino and Julia are superior green mages, but there's no guarantee of ever pulling them while there IS a guarantee of getting F!Robin. And so this is good for those people without a Nino or Julia.

How tf do people already have her at 5* level 40 @.@

It'll be a bit harder now that 1.5 exp is gone, but it should still be perfectly feasible to get a unit to level 40 before the event ends. I do remember you having poor luck with pulling low res characters though; that sucks :/ As for pegasus riders, Catria and Cordelia are quite good actually. Catria especially is an incredibly good duelist in high level arena, as long as you're sure to keep around a Takumi counter, and Cordelia has Brave Lance, which is always good for deleting someone on player phase.

I recently pulled a 5* Seliph and was pretty excited because, well, it's a 5* unit. But after looking through his skills/stats as well as seeing plenty of posts talking about inferior he is to other red lords, I've been thinking of sending him home. I already have Lyn and Ryoma for red sword users, and I have Ephraim and Julia in terms of Arena focus characters. I just can't seem to justify using up a slot for him :/ Do you guys think I should send him home? Or do you think there's still worth in keeping him around?

Narcian's not so bad as long as you make sure to have an answer to red lords and Takumi (so having Robin would be ideal).

The game is quite intent on having me use Gwendolyn and Saizo, neither of which will likely ever see the light of day bc I already have Effie and Kagero :/

Despite the fact that he's currently 3*, I actually think Frederick's probably the best of the ones you have. Good mobility and damage, and Wings of Mercy is ridiculous.

I have a 5* Seliph just sitting on the bench because I can't really justify using him over Lyn or Ryoma. Do you think it's worth leveling him up to use in Arena for the bonus? Or should I just send him home and be a few steps closer to my next 5*? (Or maybe someone could convince me that he's actually really good and that I should keep him? For reference: my current Arena team is Julia, Ryoma, Takumi, Olivia, but I might replace someone with Ephraim this week for the extra bonus)

Olivia's an amazing asset, honestly. It's just like you said, I can snipe someone then pull them back to safety or I can have Takumi or Julia snipe twice or give Ryoma the extra move he needs to reach a ranged. Dancing offers such amazing utility!
