No, I don't consider them, but I am sure plenty of 20+ men do.

And I'm sure even more don't.

At the very least, I don't believe this gauntlet is intended to be one of "waifus", so I'd rather appreciate the lack of blatant and sexualized fanservice.

You don't have to like this gauntlet, but associating it with "waifu emblem" is a bit much.

I think I may support her then. Hee hee yay!

IS should have added Genny. Maybe they knew that her ready to roll status would defeat everyone else :0

I'm a bit sad Genny's not in it but also relieved I won't have to pick between two of my favorite daughters

I am having honestly tired of Waifu Emblem

I hated the Bride Banner and I was hoping for at least a Lucius in the gauntlet but nope

    Am I hearing this right?

You consider these innocent young girls to be "waifus"?

I'm actually glad that this is the first non-waifu gauntlet we've had! No one's going to have an upper hand because of fanservice, just pure cuteness! I think it's a nice change of pace~

Plus it's also the first gauntlet without a clear winner, which excites me :D

If only I had her :(((

I mean neither me nor Arc have her, but we're still going all-in anyways

It's actually kind of funny because she's one of the only healers I don't have. But I shall give her my support all the same <3

@GuiltyLove You can dance other dancers if you unequip Dance on the dancer being danced (thats a bit confusing)

  4. The Training Tower is the fastest way (aside from spending crystals, which I don't recommend because you gain SP less efficiently) to gain levels, yes.

It's generally best to train one unit at a time (having a dancer and a healer makes this a lot easier) and pick a Training Tower stratum that's a few levels above the unit you're training.

(Also for future reference, questions like these go in the Ask a Question thread pinned on the front page)

@Ice Dragon @MaskedAmpharos Life and Death costs 20k feathers each, while Fury doesn’t. Also Fury helps them drop into Desperation faster.
    (at least, that’s my reasoning)

Life and Death 2 costs just as much as Fury 3 and is still better in certain cases. And anyways, I generally give build advice assuming the person asking is concerned with optimization rather than a budget build. Fury works just fine though.

What would you suggest for these characters. Ike, spring lucina, Hector, lucina, takumi, eirika, robin, klien. Like best team, combo and best build for each

That's asking quite a lot, but I'll give it a shot. I'm only going to with build though since team composition has way too many variables. The bottom line is to stick them where they're needed. Ike's good if you need a tanky red unit, Hector's good if you need a tanky green unit, Spring Lucina's good if you need a fast blue magic unit, etc. Every one of them works in a large variety of teams, so there's no real right answer.

    Ike

    Spoiler
    • Weapon: Ragnell
    • Special: Bonfire
    • A-slot: Heavy Blade
    • B-slot: Quick Riposte

    Spring Lucina

    • B-slot: Desperation

    Hector

    Spoiler
    • Weapon: Armads
    • Special: Bonfire
    • A-slot: Distant Counter
    • B-slot: Vantage or Wings of Mercy or G Tomebreaker

    Lucina

    Spoiler
    • Weapon: Falchion

    • B-slot: Swordbreaker

    OR

    • Weapon: Falchion
    • Special: Draconic Aura
    • A-slot: Life and Death
    • B-slot: Desperation

    OR

    • Weapon: Falchion
    • Special: Reciprocal Aid or Ardent Sacrifice
    • A-slot: Fury
    • B-slot: Renewal

First set is an overall balanced duelist set and is her most popular set.

Second set is a frail but strong and fast offensive glass cannon set.

Third is a support-oriented cleric set for healing your allies.

Pick based on personal preference or what your team needs.

    Takumi

    Spoiler
    • Weapon: Brave Bow+
    • Special: Luna
    • A-slot: Life and Death
    • B-slot: Swordbreaker/Lancebreaker

    Eirika

    Spoiler
    • Weapon: Sieglinde
    • Assist: Rally Def
    • Special: Moonbow
    • A-slot: Fury
    • B-slot: Swordbreaker
    • C-slot: Hone Spd
    • Seal: Fortify Res

Eirika shouldn't really be doing much fighting since her primary job is to be a support unit. This set allows her to buff an ally with Atk +3, Def +4, Spd +4, and Res +2 all by herself, which very few units are capable of doing. She's good on any team but is best paired with a -blade tome unit like Nino, Tharja, or Spring Lucina (if you inherited Blárblade from Odin)

I already answered Robin and Klein in the last response to you, so I'm not going to repeat builds for them again.

I have a 4⋆ [+Spd, −HP] Tharja and [+Def, −Res] Nino, both with Desperation 3. They both also want Fury, correct? And Moonbow as a special?

I also have a 4⋆ [+Atk, −Res] Cecilia with Gronnblade and G Tomebreaker 3. What else does she want (except cavalry buffing teammates)?

They both want Life and Death actually, but Fury is a decent alternative. Moonbow's probably best as a special though since they likely aren't going to be activating much else barring help from the Quickpulse seal.

  8. Welp, guess I didn't need to do as many runs last night as I did. Ended up finishing around rank 3100 or so (didn't pay too much attention to the exact number), which is well within the top 5k goal I had set for myself so yay :D

Just be grateful the Tempest Trial is over so that you guys have the OPTION of raising your Alfonse. Consider it your summer break project.

I finished my Askr trio months ago. At least in terms of levels, I need better skill fodder if I want to optimize their skills. Anna's a bit low on SP once I got her Desperation 3, but the other two have 1000+

You always had the option lmao

To get the QP seal, you only needed to be about 30% efficient with your stamina (assuming you could run Lunatic consistently deathless), meaning you could spend 70% of your stamina on other stuff, like training Alfonse, and still get the seal without spending a single stamina potion.

Hell, if you were shooting for 100k, you only needed to be 70% efficient.

People love to exaggerate how costly the Tempest Trials were when they really weren't so bad.

I just don't want to train him up is all XD He's still only level 26 I think heh AT LEAST he's 4 star though!

It's kind of funny to me that your Alfonse has seen more action than mine despite your vocal dislike of him.

Mine is a 3* lvl 24 :D (still beat the lvl 40 Michalis with him, just had to chip him down with Pain)

  11. @Vaximillian Off the top of my head, some really slow and bulky units (like Sophia herself) may appreciate Dragon Fang, but Draconic Aura is usually the superior choice in most cases.

That said, why not build Sophia up yourself? She really is not as bad of a unit as people seem to think, with people like @Ice Dragon using her to great success in high level Arena. If upper tier players are using her intentionally over units like Tharja, Celica, Ryoma, or Lucina, and for reasons unrelated to favoritism, it should be a sign that she's been pretty overlooked by much of the community.

What would be the cutoff to advance from tier 19 to tier 20?

I'm wondering if I should even bother trying.

My personal best score is 4816. But if the score required to advance to 20 is any more than 4820, that's probably unattainable to me even with good luck matchups on a deathless runs...

And I don't even have any of the current bonus units at 5*. So I couldn't get a decently high score without promoting a unit at the cost of 20k feathers anyway, which I don't feel is a good investment - unless I happen to summon a Reinhardt, then I can promote Camus and make a Horse Emblem team.

So without any merged units, I'll probably bounce around between tier 18 and 19 then.

If last week is any indication, you need at least a score in the 4830s (maybe even 4840s) to get into Tier 20.

Also, is it still based on the defence team? If so, would they finally have fixed the thing with defence wins so it shows a member of the offence team?

I believe it still shows the first member of their defense team, yes.

But when you get defense wins, I believe you still see the player's rep and not necessarily a member of their offense team. That said, I don't see what the problem with that is or what there is to "fix". You don't really gain significantly more knowledge knowing "this person beat my team with a Celica rep" than "this person beat my team and one of the four units the person used was Celica".

  14. I don't understand the whole concept behind "baiting" with your lead unit.

I was under the impression that most people just click the Advanced battle option regardless of who the lead unit is? If they don't pick a fight it would mostly because they're fishing for points. It doesn't really matter to me if the opposing lead is a Hector or a Reinhardt or a Lissa: if the point value of the match is too low I don't pick it, and if it's at a reasonable point margin then I select it.

Are there really people out there that pick matches based on the opponent's defense lead?

Add an additional tier to relieve burn-out. One additional tier at the very top that is EXACTLY identical to the current top tier, but costs triple the stamina (60) and awards triple the points (2116 maximum). Players who are capable of running the top tier set can now choose whether they want to run one third as many runs for the same number of points per point of stamina or run more runs for SP and Hero Merit.

Reevaluate the weighting of scoring multipliers. For a mode that totes classic-style (semi-)permanent death as a defining feature, it's odd that survival is the least-weighted rating.

Just going to echo Ice here because both of these are what I want, the top bit especially.

I don't really have any complaints about anything else in this mode off the top of my head, but having that additional tier to give people the option to grind fewer times would be nice if you happen to be a busy person.

How much fusion do I need to get into their 19? Is it better to use fusions to shore up weaknesses or strengthen strengths? I Run Nino, Azura, Eirika + bonus unit. I have a ton of Ninos that I could just start fusing as I get the feathers, but I could also fuse each of Azura and Eirika 1 time with less feather investment. Since Nino does the vast majority of the work on my team will I start to fall behind the curve if I fuse the others first?

You honestly don't need a single merge to get into Tier 19, though it certainly makes things easier. You may need to blow dueling crests to fish for only high point-value matches though.

I personally think that if you're going to merge anyone, it makes the most sense to concentrate on the units doing the most work (in your case Nino), but it honestly isn't all that important. One or two merge levels don't make a huge difference in performance one way or another, so you're really just doing it for the extra Arena points at this stage anyways.
