  1. Chiki probably has an MBTI personality type of ISTJ - people with this type tend to think that they are always right. Often times, they are since they usually give their own arguments due diligence. Social skills don't come naturally though for these types, and I doubt he has ever really faced the reality that sometimes your beliefs are not entirely correct. In the case of speed runs, he's pretty much started from the premise that LTC is the true way to play, and will aggressively fight anyone who thinks otherwise. It's not that this trait is inherently bad - these types are great at getting things done correctly and by the book, but when they are undeveloped socially as well as intellectually immature, they limit themselves to much to only what they understand and shut down too easily that which they don't. Obviously other people aren't really helping this problem - many just want to prove to him that they are right too even though it doesn't accomplish anything because the ISTJ is "always right" Of course I could be completely off base, and he might be a similar judging type, but reading this page may be illuminating to understanding him better and how he can identify and strengthen his weaknesses. http://www.personalitypage.com/html/ISTJ_per.html Anyways, I encourage everyone to find out their own MBTI personality type, as understanding yourself and others is really important if you care about having more effective relationships with others, and getting things done.
  2. Note, Limstella's chapter and the Final chapter require WAY more experience then you will probably get if you're playing normally, so you will have to be making up for the experience well ahead of time, iirc around a 100 levels between them (you're also expected to get 2 levels on the dragon...)
  3. And the fact that Aircalibur is one of the most broken tomes ever, and purchasable to boot.
  4. Mastery skills are pretty much overkill against anything but the enemies in the final chapter. Since you're pretty much one rounding enemies normally, sol is probably the most useful of the masteries for more of the game since it does more than allow you to kill enemies more dead.

    The Manni Kati

The rapier is mediocre at best, since the crit is nowhere near reliable and the damage is middling as opposed to the wolf biel and the manni katti. The manni katti is great for killing mounted units with capped speed and very powerful weapons. Like final chapter Uhai.
  6. Luna is more broken in enemy hand's then Canas' lol. If you really want luna against the dragon, Athos will do fine, though i've never had a run through where you couldn't one turn the dragon using just lord legendary weapons and aureole.
  7. The mani katti is the single most useful weapon in the game, bar possibly the sword killer. Effective damage means that Lyn is doing high amounts of damage when it matters (cough, Uhai...). It breaking means that you can't indiscriminately waste it, but 45 uses is more than enough for the whole game. And it doesn't use your funds if you're going for rank, whereas using kill swords will slaughter your funds rank.
  8. Ninian is amazing. I would probably go so far to say she's the most useful unit in the game. She's effectively another character because of the refresh, filla's might and ninis's grace are extremely useful (especially for rank runs since they can drastically cut down the number of moves needed to overcome certain obstacles), and perhaps most importantly, she is the single best character for luring large numbers of units away from a character that might die in two hits (invaluable in hhm where everyone will die in like two hits). Filla's might is particularly useful against bosses like limstella or the dragon with high defense/hp, especially if a character like lyn pulls off a double critical, effectively increasing damage done in that turn by 60 (+20 damage is no joke either).

    Small dilemma

Actually, in practice, Raven is a perfectly fine against swordmasters with an axe. The added might will still make an axe preferable to a sword in this matchup. Really though, you have to see it to believe it. Use Raven with an axe, and I can guarantee that you will be very, very pleased with the result. There seems to be a real strange stigma that axes are inferior among many people. Many people I know who thought this way completely changed their minds once they started using an axe Raven.
  10. Hmm, the battle at castle ostia right before preparations can be difficult because of the druids with status staves. Genesis can get hectic because of the luna druids, and of course you better have high resistance units for cog of destiny. Light becomes a joke if you remember to use the sword killer against lloyd and linus. Since you can easily kill lloyd on the first turn he's out, the lost of the A rank support makes the fight really easy.

    Small dilemma

The sword killer happens to be the single best way to kill linus and lloyd, since you get triple might and double the weapon triangle advantage. I usually just end up using athos and hector to kill them in one turn, but my guess is raven might not be in such bad shape. For the most part, the enemies in fe7 (including hhm) are weak enough such that by the time you get raven promoted, he will double anything, and kill anything with an iron axe. The stronger might of axes, and the general uberness of your characters means that there is actually no reason not to use an axe if a character can use one, unless you really want to use one of the S rank weapons. The bonus critical from s rank is in axes is more useful than the ability to use the regal blade imo, and it will benefit you for a much longer period of the game.
