Ashe has 16 speed as a lv 14 on this map, I'd say he's plenty fast. He's just using a heavy weapon.
I didn't see that. I need to have a look again tomorrow. Also, weight is back. Shit I need to through everything again

I'm sure the whole speed thing comes down to bases and growths plus promo bonuses. Felix is definitely the traditional myrmidon, so I would say his speed is probably really good and Ashe and Annette might just be slow I guess.
Also yes I'm pretty sure the save was the same for each demo playthrough, which I'm pretty sure is typical for these kind of things.
Oh I forgot promo bonuses lol. I should go to bed. Disregard what I said earlier

You forget, that Felix is a Myrmidon and Myrmidons are excellent in speed lol
Of course there might be variances in playthorughs, but at level 15 Felix is at 18 speed (also assuming that the class and Felix have good speed growths so this could be considered a close to a 100% growth, but it's not really at the same time, just expect to have something like that if going that path). Anette is at level 19 with 13 speedd. Mentioning again that there exists variance on different playthroughs, Ashe at level 15 is 12 spd in Treehouse footage, the same level as in this gameplay couldn't even double an axe user in this footage. Might just be a case of Ashe and Anette being speed screwed and I'm way overthinking things.
13 minutes ago, VincentASM said:Only thing is that Armored Knights take heavy damage from magic users. In the second map in the Treehouse footage, Dedue was doubled by a mage and lost a lot of HP.
Definitely that, but that's kinda the same as putting pegasi in range of archers (though they have better move and can traverse any terrain so it's less bad for them). What I'm saying is that you wouldn't do it if you can avoid it. Some sound moments in the Tree House presentation, but a couple of things made me question what they did and all they really did was create some kind of false confirmation bias for a few things for some people. I can't really blame them as they were playing regularly, but this is the closest we've gotten to a demo until now so we'd pretty much "Kowalksi, analysis!" anything right now.
BTW, did they all use the same save file for the houses they were playing? Different sources have King of the Beast battle with the same house and classes, no?

Mage class or Anette looks to be a bit slow. Anette is 5 spd lower than fricking Felix who is quite a few levels lower than her. At least she has magic as it targets res, something that's usually lower for physical damage dealing enemies
-
Armor knights are actually starting to look decent. Gauntlets can let them double (I recall Dedue being proficient in them, but I could be wrong) and other footage showed them being incredibly durable among a mob of enemies. Then again it might have just been normal mode on all occasions.
Might just be me, but Ashe looks slow. I'm gonna need to put him into a class that boost the speed stat. Doesn't help that the archer class focuses on skill and luck. Yep looking at the Treehouse gameplay where we got to look at his stats and comparing them with the level ups right now he is slow. Or rather a class was picked for him that didn't improve his shaky speed.
Sylvain looks to be rather fast if we go off of Felix being a stereotypical fast myrmidon. The stat leaning shape for cavalry class on the official website barely shifts in the direction of the speed stat. Or at least I'm assuming it's the speed stat since I took a look at the other classes as well.
So weapon arts are kinda like in Echoes that you have to have the same weapon you learned the art from, but you can have multiple weapons this time in your inventory

All of those villains look obviously evil. How much more red and black can a person use in a design? The Ginger looking guy? girl? reminds me of Peri.
Probably how she should have been handled. One of the most common feedback I've seen about her is that she should have been part of Iago's army or something. Her backstory contradicts with Xander's and the writers made his character flip flop if it wasn't doing enough of that already

I've seen people mention grappler as the advanced gauntlet class
-
-
I've seen mentions of Gunnthra due to the tip of her braid resembling whatever it is on the right.
-
Nobody told me Albert had Presence Concealment EX
-
The dude looks buff. And based off of what Fan said it's probably Arthur. The person on the right could be Sophia or Miitama.

If some players can afford 2 Dumas and 2 Yunes, they can afford an extra copy of Sturdy Impact for Lunge.
I'm talking in general of all tiers, but if you're talking about upper tiers then yes.

As in your opponent surviving after your second attack. Use the weapon triangle and/or effective damage whenever you can
obviously.Colorless are annoying.18 minutes ago, XRay said:In players' hands, Sturdy Impact are more for units that can do guaranteed follow-up attacks (Tibarn, Yune, Ephraim, Flora, etc.), so they are not primarily using it for follow-up negation, but are rather using it for the Def+10 to make the unit more durable when taking counterattacks so they can keep going without a healer for longer.
True that, but at the end of the day it's for certain units with specific effects. However, some units want to fall into desperation range among units with guaranteed doubling. For something like Galeforce.
21 minutes ago, XRay said:Follow-up negation is more useful in AI hands', where I see Sturdy Impact being often used with Lunge so the Lunger is more likely to survive so the rest of the defense team can then chew through the broken formation.
Definitely annoying there, but that really depends on how invested some are for AR defense. Maybe just me, but to me people are more invested in offense than defense. I'm willing to bite the bullet there if I'm that wrong
-
Sturdy Impact is overrated IMO. If your opponent is doubling you on your PP then you're going at them with the wrong unit or color.
It will have it's uses, but it's not that amazing as some people think

Interesting. A form that the Watcher servant from strange fake is the childhood self of the new caster.
Oh so that's why his artist's name was familiar. Same person who drew Innes, Arvis and Saias
-
@Ertrick36Oh no, lol. I meant it as in one's a active muscle head and the other is a tired bookworm. It's interesting to see how they would interact with one another.
-
Ignatz will have shoulder length hair with a ponytail. That's my prediction
-
Him and Caspar have a pretty interesting relationship. Those two have opposite traits from one another, but both can be equally as hardworking when it comes to something they're passionate about.
-
I honestly wish the UI would be more visual novel like. The character art for this game is much more beautiful than the models
SpoilerHe's bi. This info is from early development so there could be more male bi options

The new archer is in the regular pool. Hot damn. Yeee boy

Wow, Heroes can immediately sell you on a character. I only had a vague awareness of who Cynthia was but her selection quotes make her instantly likeable.
And then there's Panne. Embodiment of everything revolving around your character trait in Heroes. At least she's a good unit

Move the fuck aside fem Byleth, Ingrid is our otome protagonist.
Putting the hand thing aside, she has one of my favorite designs. I'm a bit of a sucker for single braids.
