  1. New heads up: I just acquired Luna for Selkie and updated my castle with it. I didn't get the number of the castle I took it from, mostly because buying the skill required an annoying fight.
  2. I have updated my roster to help you both. From your lists, I currently sport:
  3. I have updated my castle's roster as well. I added these: Asugi: Nohrian Trust and Dragon Fang Caeldori: Dragon Fang Dwyer: Dragon Fang Mitama: Dragon Fang Nina: Dragon Fang Rhajat: Dragon Fang Soleil: Dragon Fang Sophie: Dragon Fang Velouria: Dragon Fang I have Dragon Fang on everyone (I think all of the first generation, too) but Percy and Ignatius. I don't have Hisame. Let me know when you finish a character so I can rotate for another one you need.
  4. I agree that Shurikenbreaker is the only breaker skill Sniper Hana needs. As Jingle Jangle mentioned, the dual yumi takes care of tomes. Ideally, those would be the only weapons that would hit a sniper (either because you decided to target them or because they got to you on their turn). An enemy should not be making melee attacks on your bow units.
  5. I like Laura, which is why I'm sad mine has never been good enough to see much use in Part 3 (and none beyond it). Alas, she's a slightly worse Micaiah. In lower difficulties, Micaiah doesn't have to steal her healing experience: sacrifice conveniently doesn't reduce the number of injured units you have. For most of Part 1, I have those two act as the Heal Chain, which really just converts time (and patience) into free experience for Micaiah. Yes, this does up your turn count.
  6. You could have her A+ with Setsuna instead. I understand wanting to keep Hana away from damage (I have never used Life and Death on anyone), but keep in mind that a Sniper Hana will make her personal skill almost worthless.
  7. Time to build off what Jingle Jangle has mentioned: I agree that Hana does her best work when she hits hard and the enemy can't hit her back. Because of this, I think she is one of the best units to toss a breaker skill onto. She's a front line unit, and you need her to survive the enemy's turn. I recommend Shurikenbreaker and Lancebreaker. I would say the former is more important because a shuriken will ruin anyone's day and they tend to be too accurate for comfort. I would argue that Armored Blow is redundant when you have Duelist's Blow. Why would you need damage reduction when your goal is to never be hit? I think Pavise would serve her better. For some real giggles, you could give her Savage Blow as well. As for pairings, do you primarily use your units in attack stance or guard stance? If the latter, I would take into account what bonuses your units give each other. Swordmaster Hana paired with Swordmaster Ryoma gives the former +1 Str, +1 Skl, +8 Spd, and +3 Lck when she is the lead unit. Ryoma gets +2 Str, +1 Skl, +7 Spd, and +3 Lck when he is the lead unit. Raijinto packs an extra nip and Hana and Ryoma have their speed (avoid) maximized.
  8. Um. UM. You've given me a treasure trove about my favorite Fire Emblem games. Thank you to you and the others who worked on this and the first volume! I do have a question that has probably been answered elsewhere, however: who released these books? Nintendo? Intelligent Systems? I mostly ask because I thought Ashunera found the Zunanma rather than created them herself, but a line from the first volume says otherwise. Really, this increases my desire to play through again. Again, thank you. This is a real treasure.
  9. As a character, I deem Aran interesting enough to be worth trying. ...Or, I would, were it not for Nephenee. I first dove into Radiant Dawn with memories of Path of Radiance fresh on my mind - and some of those memories were of Nephenee, the unit with a class I thought was fun to use (basic soldier yes!!) who ended up being my best lance unit throughout the game. She sports cool blue armor and neat light-green hair; I like when my units look nice while kicking ass. Radiant Dawn (fairly) quickly introduces us to Aran, the soldier with cool black armor, neat light-green hair...uh oh. He's Nephenee, but worse. I tried using him in my first run of the game. I figured I could use him alongside Nephenee, especially since I didn't know who all I would bring into the finale at that time. He quickly fell off (really, most of the Dawn Brigade did around the same time), and this was in normal mode. I think the last bit of use I squeezed out of him was acting as a wall for a turn to protect Laura in chapter...uh...the one where you roll rocks down onto Sanaki's guards. Aran is completely overshadowed by Nephenee. I wouldn't have a problem with his low speed (hey, a knight with better movement!) were it not for the fact that almost everyone in the Dawn Brigade requires a good deal of tender love and care. You need a few of its members to not suck come Part 3, and there is only enough experience to make a few of them viable for it (being viable for endgame, of course, requires even more care with how you manage experience). Aran seems like a nice guy, but I would say any experience given to him is wasted - even if it leaves you with no real lance user in the Dawn Brigade. Most units in Part 1 are starving for experience and you barely have enough to satisfy your favorite few. I am of the mind that most (if not all) experience should go to those you know you will take into the finale. I sometimes forget wannabe-Nephenee even exists, but the same could be said for the Fiona and Meg. Sadly, they just exist to give you token access to a lance unit, a mounted unit, and an armor unit respectively.

  11. I never thought I would own a cat. They're cute, but I don't trust them. One day, however, a coworker brought in the cutest kitten I had ever seen: I apologize for how large the picture is. She was found with her paw frozen to a truck one day. Between needing to leave for work and no animal shelter/animal control wanting to take her (jurisdiction issues or just plain being Sunday), my coworker and her sister decided to bring the kitten to work. She had no tag or other identification, but was too pretty to be a stray. They named her Selena. At the end of the day, all attempts to find a home for Selena had failed; I decided to take her home with me. She soon lost one of her hind paws due to the frostbite she suffered that day, but it doesn't seem to bother her when she runs. I can't help but feel awful when she tries to scratch herself with that leg, though. She warmed up to me fairly quickly and she is rather social for a cat...once she gets to know you. She hides from people she isn't familiar with. I've had Selena for over a year and a half now. She and my dog Hunter have mostly settled their territory war (that was fun to watch). I'm still a puppy supremacist.

  16. The internet has taught me that the only prerequisite to making a meaningful contribution to any thread is to read only the two latest posts. Even then, I suspect going that far is optional.
  17. That combo is available in my castle: 08515-28180-60331-86514 (Court of Skills)
  18. I just put that pair into my castle. I'll put my address into my signature once I figure out how to edit that (yikes, I feel dumb). Until then, you'll find it here: 08515-28180-60331-86514 (Court of Skills) For everyone else, I am currently trying to collect Move +1 on everyone. I still need to acquire it for the following characters: Any help would be appreciated.
  19. I have Dragon Fang on Xander. Castle Address: 08515-28180-60331-86514 Name: Court of Skills
