I think I’ll like Hilda enough. I hated Serra with a passion back in FE7, but despite the multiple comparisons with her I get a feeling she won’t be as insufferable as her. Probably the female I like the most on the Golden Deer so far.

Holy cow that is awful. You weren’t kidding when you said you came out empty handed. Hopefully you don’t get burned once more when she comes back near the end of the year and myself for that matter. Plus we get more tickets, so there’s still a chance. After this, it’s pretty much waiting until summer since I don’t care for anyone on Rashomon, Onigashima, or Agartha (lul).

Welp, good news and bad news. Bad news is I didn’t get Rin, not even with nearly 500 quartz. Huge bummer and another bust to add alongside Okita Souji. At least I get another chance this November, but it’ll be do or die then since she’ll not get another rate up from then on. Good news (at least for me) is I got not one, not two, but three copies of Gorgon and Medulily. I’m aware both aren’t thought highly of, but as a fan of Medusa I’m pretty happy that I got so many copies. Especially the former because she’s storylocked. Finally someone to replace Cu on the my support list. There was Lobo who came out of nowhere. Okay. I also got my first copies of Prisma Cosmos, Heavens Feel, and Before Awakening as well as a fair number of extra copies of SSR CEs such as Black Grail, Devilish Bodshiva, Limited Zero and a couple others. Formal Craft and Kaleidoscope evade me still which bums me out, but 500 Year Obsession can continue to fuck off. Even better, no Stheno! All in all, disappointing that I failed to get my target, but I’m pleased with the consolation for what it’s worth. @Sire Oof, guess that makes two of us, though from what it looks like you ended up way worse than I did. My condolences. :(

I wasn’t aware there was a high emphasis on f2p so that explains it. Still feels weird to exclude a single servant for that but it’s not my list. :P

That would be Onigashima rerun you’re referring you, which will probably take place around early June. The freebie is actually Kintoki rider, who’s one of the best free servants in the game and SR riders for that matter. It’s probably the next biggest event we’re anticipating. As the latter, I’d rather that didn’t happen mostly because I believe it’s better to stick to the status quo since then I properly save and stockpile for rate ups I’m expecting. There have been rare exceptions to the rule, most infamously the Thanksgiving banners who take extra servants planned for New Years and moved them there for whatever reason (less saturation, I guess???).

Yeah, the first month or so QP comes off as negligible because of the slow start and lack of resources, and naturally you’ll be accumulating a lot. Even after the initial hurdle it’s not that egregious because ascending doesn’t really take a toll on it. However, once you fully ascend your servants and get a fair number of SSRs, you’ll turn you attention to the skills and oh mama, they can be expensive. Maxing our Merlin’s final skill pretty much cut my QP from 120 mil-ish to 50 mil. Everyone knows Mat Hell, but QP Hell can be just as frustrating. At least the latter is easier to deal with considering we have a whole node for it, not to mention we got Mona Lisa (which can stack with a friend’s plus your own) so you can earn back what you lost at a steady pace.

Finally cleared out the damn shop. Going to farm QP and embers from now on, especially the former since 35 million QP is not exactly an ideal place to be. I just need to max out Bride Nero since she’s already fully ascended, but the final 10 levels are a nightmare for SSRs so obviously I’ll wait until we get the super success rate up. I got an assortment of SRs I’m trying to raise up being Carmilla, Nero, Martha, Astolfo, Liz, Nobu, BB, and (I guess) Chacha.

I like her look and find her pretty attractive, though I prefer Female Byleth, Petra, and Dorothea. I think outfit wise she’s comparable to Ursula, who I never find people rag on aside from her look in Heroes but that’s different because it’s mostly the art rather than the design that bothers them.

I’m getting burned out with this event. At this point all I need are the saber and archer pieces, as well as the attack Fous and I’m done. Once that’s done I’m never touching it again. I think the crashing every time I try to enter the shop after a match or occasionally after trying to play several matches in a row really got to me, and my phone is no toaster either. Good riddance to those maps. I’m pretty hyped for the download campaign though, I’m really in QP purgatory. I really want Ishtar even though there’s a high chance the only gold I’ll get is a damn Stheno, unless the pre-CCC rate up was any indication.

He kinda has a point. They’re somewhat dubious because one year someone would perform poorly like Leif, only to jump to the top ten the next because “WE WANT THRACIA!”, and then once again plummet after their wish is granted. We get meme characters like Dorcas and Lute very high in year one, only to do so-so later on. Reinhardt was in... what? The 400s? After getting an insane weapon, the rest is history. This year Louise recently got in the early teens for females and let’s face it, if it weren’t for Mangs then she’d probably only grace the 200s at best. I think CYL results should be taken with a grain of salt due to their sheer inconsistency. At the very least I wouldn’t call them a gauge on popularity, rather just people who really want X-character to get an CYL alt or even an alt in general for those already in the game, whereas they’d want one who isn’t in the game to be added eventually .

I wasn’t suggesting the servants I brought up specifically, rather the fact they’re so rare (at least the latter three) should one want them. You want Medea lily? Gotta wait almost two years for the Prisma rerun. Lancer Salter? Aside from the 10 mil download campaign and the Garden of Sinners rate up, she’s nowhere to be seen. Gorgon? After the 9 mil campaign, she’s awol. That’s also why I omitted Gawain, Tristan, Thomas Edison, and Emiyalter because they all get rate ups fairly often, or at least in comparison to those three in particular. I’m perfectly aware they’re not worldbeaters (I feel Medea lily is underrated by some though that’s neither here nor there), but I feel stressing the fact that how uncommon their rate ups are is necessary for those who potentially want them.

The problem with Berserkers in my experience is unless their name is Cu Alter or Hercules they tend to evaporate in a blink of an eye. Hell, on a really bad day, my berserkers don’t make it past the first wave thanks to the mobs ganging up on them and/or throwing in a stray crit. They either have to be self sufficient enough (like the ones I mentioned earlier) to not worry about Murphy’s law striking or be heavily babied by other servants. I pretty much go with the former. I was very apprehensive about using berserkers starting out, and still am to a degree, but I fell in love with a friend’s Cu because he was one the few that could actually make it to the end of the fight. Casters are no juggernauts, but I find their disadvantage a bit overblown. Some of them are geared towards offense but have no business in that role (I’m looking at you Paracelsus and Babbage), but when done correctly I’d take one over a Berserker any day. I tend to prefer hard counters as opposed to a glass cannon that could blow up in my face if RNGsus decides to be a bitch. That being said, @Water Mage I wouldn’t recommend Caster Gil if you’re looking for offense. He can deal it, but it’s not entirely his job per se, as others mentioned. In fact, I’d suggest you pick someone that’s storylocked since you can’t pull those ever unless they get a rate up. Some like Nero, Li Shuwen, and Salter get them once in a while, but then theres the likes of Medea lily, Lancer Salter, and Gorgon who almost never get rate ups so it’d be ideal to snatch someone very rare if you want them. Of course, if there’s someone specific in mind that’s a personal favorite regardless of how often they could appear, then by all means pick them. It’s not like SRs grow on trees.

I perfectly knew well what he was referring to (Shinjuku is actually my favorite singularity) and it wasn’t intended to be hostile at all. Quite the the contrary it was intended to be a jocular nudge, though with little context I can admit it could be seen negatively so my bad on that. As for Seraph... it’s fine. Right in the middle for me. I didn’t care for Melt and BB (the latter I honestly found irritating), but Lip was cute enough and it redeemed Gawain for me. I finished the story and got my grail, so now it’s just more missions to get BB copies/ascension mats and grinding for chips.

Oh Luvia... oy vey. Glad she’s in, but the choice of art for her leaves a lot to be desired. The style is just not very pleasant in my eyes.

About damn time Luvia is in the game. Kinda wish she took up the mantle of a more interesting goddess though, I don’t know who the hell Astraea is.

My best guess is that at least the first two will apply. I’ve always been hoping that there’d one day be a 8% banner or even a hero fest made out of legendary heroes exclusively, and maybe that could apply to Golden week. -
So, after some research, I discovered that not only did they make the brilliant decision of making Christopher Columbus story locked, he doesn’t even a get a rate up. He still apparently lacking one to this very day in JP. That meaning, your only chances at obtaining him are 1) the story gacha...pfffffffffft 2) rolling during class rate ups...which hardly anyone does either 3) a couple of the guaranteed SSR pulls where he just might pop up depending if he’s eligible 4) Chaldea boys rate ups, which are probably the only ones which make any real sense to summon on. That’s honestly terrible. I’m hoping Aniplex pulls a Medea Lily and actually adds him to one of the Agartha banners. Then again, I’m not sure why I’m that peeved about it considering I don’t plan to summon on either of the Agartha rate ups in the first place. Guess I’m weird.
