  1. In Golden Sun, do weapons types matter? Like...is there a disadvantage in having a sword equipped in a magic class?

Nope, not really. Psynergey becomes pretty useless after a while so the "Mages" become quickly outclassed when focused towards it for damage output. The higher attack number is pretty much all you have to worry about ~o3o~

  2. Ike was modeled after Hector. I like Ike, but no Hector likely means no Ike

And Hector was modeled after Lex~

Funnily enough all three are axe user at some point, though it takes Ike a game to actually get any axes~

TBH I never really cared for hulked out dudes, that's just unappealing. I much prefer guys who have just a moderate amount of muscles or just lean bodies in general <3

  3. If we could only harness this power and use it for our own personal gain...

    Good luck with that

so makaze wants to exploit kon, huh

event ends tomorrow/today dude, what are you doing

I don't even know how he expects it to work.

    Goldfish, etc.

  4. What about things you don't say you'll do? Maybe we can exploit this.

The only things I don't say I'll do and do them are all of the unfinished sprites and other stupidly unproductive tasks

    No exploitation, only disappointment

  5. Really? I didn't know that. I never played PoR or RD, so I didn't know that. I was just using Kellam as an example, and I knew Ike got Aether as a personal skill. I just don't want If to be divided into "Good Characters" and "Bad Characters", as it seems to be a common theme in these games.

It's alright, I know not everyone has played the games ;p

Yeah, giving otherwise "bad" characters a good ability really balances out the cast so you don't have to be restricted. Astrid, for example, comes in as a level 1 Bow Knight (think a Cavalier with Bows) in a mid-game chapter in Path of Radiance, and her stats aren't amazing, but she has Paragon, which means that as soon as you feed her a level or too she snowballs into a fantastic unit.

  6. Path of Radiance is pretty easy, if I remember right. Radiant Dawn Haar would destroy the game.

Out of curiosity, what other units did you get for that run?

    That's true~
    The best team ever~
    Rolf
    Lethe
    Devdan
    Makalov
    Tormod
    Jill
    Titania
    Ena
    Astrid
    Kieran
    Haar
    Zihark
  7. Seriously, Rhys and Haar are going to carry endgame, most likely.

Also, forgive me if it's a stupid question, but what's a PMU run?

Too bad Haar isn't his amazing RD self. Here he's still good but not nearly as godly

It's Pick My Units, basically the exact same thing as Pick My Team~

  8. Yeah, he's def a favorite of mine, and he was pretty great in the PMU run I did ages ago. And hey, at least you have Rhys, in my run my only magic user was Tormod so it took forever and a half to get him to use Physic D;

... I'm kind of tempted to redo that PMU run of mine now

  9. There's already two versions of the "Wallflower" skill, Shade and the beefed up Stillness. And Stillness is the personal skill of an Assassin, too ~o3o~

And in Radiant Dawn everyone owning a personal skill got it for free, meaning it didn't eat up their skill capacity~

I'm totally for the idea of personal skills making a comeback though, they were always a really cool thing that made it more fun to use certain units, like Sir Edward Axetotheface getting Wrath and critting everything once he tales a hit~
