  1. Yeah, Dragoon actually did give me the most trouble. That southeastern corner with the bridge pretty much always ruined me until Hardin got the exactly correct amount of crits/misses to not get killed over there. There may be a better way to handle that bit I haven't personally experimented with. Also Thieves has the best pre-map dialogue so I can't hate it, really. I can't speak for Rubenio, but when I played this map, I actually found it sort of important to not take full advantage of how much Camus can wreck the enemy, because they're pursuing so quickly he'll pretty much always end up being a chokepoint. If you let him kill people too fast, more and more flood into the spot, and eventually it's a death by a thousand cuts. If you keep it to only one or two attacks per turn, it's smooth sailing thanks to the heal on Gradivus. There's probably another way to handle it, though.
  2. Oh, wow, thanks. Happy to be here, FE12 is one of my favorite games and I love watching people play it. TBH if you've played 7 Fire Emblems, I'd hardly call you a "noob". That's about half the series! Not knowing the detailed strategies for the Chronicles maps isn't something to be ashamed of, that's some ridiculously obscure stuff. Especially this one.
  3. You know, I personally always found this bonus map to be one of the stranger ones. You have less chances for bad RNG to kick in thanks to the fact that Navarre is just sort of a wrecking ball, but if you don't make the exact right moves on the first few opening turns, you can get screwed over real quick. Dragoon is a nightmare, though. I've only beaten it once, and I don't plan on ever doing it again.
  4. Murphy's Law: Kill all 3 Gharnef's in Ch.23, kill the real one last. Iote's Fail: Kill Michalis with a bow. Clash Of Heroes: Defeat Camus, Michalis, and Medeus with Marth. Whitewings Whiff: Defeat one of the Whitewings in the first chapter they appear. I'm Going To Smash My Monocle: Reclass Etzel to Berzerker. No, This Simply Won't Do!: Only field reclassed units after Ch. 3. Marth, Julian, Rickard, Bantu, and Tiki are exempt. Gaggles No More: Let Gordin reach 20/20. The Replacements: Complete Endgame with Athena, Horace, Etzel, and Ymir on your team. Sibling Rivalry: Let Maria and Minerva damage Michalis. Holding Out For A Hero: Field a 20/20 Ogma in Endgame. Civilian Saver: Do not allow any villages (aside from those that are forced to be razed Ex. Ch1) to be razed by thieves. Emptied Pockets: Get Julian and Rickard to Level 30 That Was Just Cheap: Kill Medeus with a critical strike.
  5. Oh, well if you want, Vincent, I'd be willing to assist in that too. I've waded through many a script dump in my day.
  6. I think my big ticket game would be Awakening (especially if we hear more of the voice acting) or Luigi's Mansion. Animal Crossing is pretty similar each time, and as much as I love MH3, I know what's in there from the internet.
  7. Standard Raised: Finish "Raise The Standard" without one of Fiona's cavaliers dying. Luck Of The Draw: Kill a unit using only Magic Cards. High Roller, Low Chances: Use the "Gamble" skill and miss.
  8. I would be honored to help clean up the script, if you were so willing Vincent.
  9. Did anybody on the mod team record the whole translated script for the support/base convos? I've been wanting to read it, but I'm not a fan of emulation. Giant wall o' textdumps I'm OK with though.
  10. I can't recommend this one enough. Great fun.
  11. I would wait. There's good stuff coming out that will tide you over until FE13. I'd recommend going back and playing through the older games again, or picking up Pokemon Conquest. It's pretty great, and the grid based battle system has alot of similarities to FE.
  12. Oh, the Civ 4 manual... I miss it. The manuals for Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario Land 3D were literally just folded sheets of paper. :/
  13. So the villain in Conquest is...Oda Nobunaga? Really? For those of you who are unaware, Nobunaga was an actual Japanese ruler and famous warlord. He was at least historically significant enough to be in Civilization 5. Which is understandable, considering it's a game all about history, but now he's in Pokemon? Wasn't he in an Onimusha game too? And there are so many variants of him, in some media he's a woman, in some he's like the King of Demons, it's confusing. But what is it about Nobunaga that makes the Japanese want to put him into every single game! He's an extremely significant figure, but Ubisoft doesn't toss Napoleon into all of their stuff, nor do we get Abe Lincoln shooting the bad guys in CoD. Is it a cultural thing? Does anybody know more about the Nobunaga phenomenon?
  14. "Our VILLage." *slightly higher pitch* "Noooo." I almost fell out of my chair.
  15. I just replayed the beginning of PoR. I have exactly the same concerns you do. So I didn't want to get KI. But then Pyhhron. Oh man. Pyhhron. Although that nature chick annoys the hell out of me, I thought the rest of it was good.
  16. OK, so I haven't seen this Nono character, why does everyone think she'll be censored
  17. Hector is in this game now. Take my money Nintendo, take it alllll
  18. Because New Mystery, which was a sequel to a game that we did get in the U.S. and included the most beginner friendly mode (Casual) for the very first time, did not get translated. I think that's why most people were woried, it certainly was why I was.
  19. I think we can all learn something from this ordeal. We should all watch the "zany" new show, THREEDIOTS! It's wacky!
