  1. "IV: You may have only one of each unit type. The rest may never see combat unless the other unit dies." Does this mean you can use Franz, Seth, and Duessel? Since they are all different classes?
  2. @Snowy Haar starts with 25 points towards SPD on fixed mode. 2 Bexp LV ups with an iron axe and SPD band will get him 90 more points thus giving him a point of SPD. Hell, 1 LV up in his join Chapter without a band and 1 Bexp LV with an iron axe and SPD band will give him a point of SPD. With an 18 AS Haar will double 41 out of 54 enemies in Chapter 24 (The boss and BK are included in this). 8 of the 13 he doesnt double are Swordmaster/Myrmidons, and 2 are the boss and the BK. What do you mean when you say Haar has trouble doubling? He will easily double (and 1RKO) 70-80% of the enemies in every map, even without a speedwings.
  3. Oh ok. It still works though. I would just make sure it went HLH or LHL so i could tell.
  4. I dont understand. Would using movement arrows not be accurate?
  5. Im 99.9% sure that healing staves dont burn a RN. Sleep, silence, and berserk have hit rate so they should burn RNs. Does the rescue staff burn a RN like warp does? I could test it myself but I dont have any save files with the rescue staff at the moment...
  6. Yes. When you get a critical hit a 4th RN is always rolled to check for assassinate, even when not an assassin. This is also true for FE8.
  7. @Aku Chi Ok, its something i guess but you would almost have to go out of your way to the point of babying to make Lucia kill anything in Chapter 25, since Boyd, Ike, Stefan, and Nephenee exist. And collecting treasure is really trivial, and is never a Chapter objective.
  8. @PKL -Bastion is definitely better than Lucia. He has siege tome utility. Lucia has a sucky start just like the other 2 Swordmasters. She just has less time and requires more resourses to be good. Also, Mia and Zihark have less competition for a deployment spot. Lucia has to compete with 4 flyers, 6 paladins, and the other 7 move units who actually have good, forgeable 1-2 attack range options. Sure in a draft setting she could be decent, but when you are using every character in a LTC setting her contributions are next to nothing. Seriously, if she is used in every map what is she doing for us? She cant move far enough to help complete any Chapter objectives, so the only thing she can do is kill out-of-the-way enemies for self-improvement. I really dont think my rating is too harsh. Can she make any contributions toward the Chapter objectives for the remainder of her existence???
  9. PROS: -really high growths (415% total growth) CONS: -terrible base stats -sword locked -bad offense -bad durability -7 movement, no canto -low availability Lucia is ultra bad. Swordmasters are a bad class and she is by far the worst one. Base Stefan is as good as 20/20 Lucia, and Mia and Zihark are better than a base LV Lucia at 20/5, even when leveled up without using bands... She can kill stuff with silver forges or criticals, but there are about 20 other units who can do the same thing without relying on forges and criticals. Her durability is garbage; she will be 2HKOed by almost any enemy. Even the weakest enemies will 3HKO her. 0/10 - Yep, I done did it. I gave her a goose egg. There are just too many units who perform better than her...
  10. @Snowy Haar's base SPD stat doubles a little more than half of the remaining enimies from his joining to the end of the game. If he gets a speedwings and 100-150 Cexp per Chapter he will double about 90% of the enimies. Even without a speedwings he will double around 75% of enemies. Only Swordmasters, Cats, and some Tigers and Paladins give him trouble. His "SPD issues" are very minor...
  11. PROS: -flight -good bases -good weapon ranks -requires little to no resourses (a speedwings at most) -supports good units CONS: -low availability -doesnt double everything Haar is a really good filler unit. Having an extra 9 move flier who can 1RKO enemies is always a good thing. He comes with the Brave axe, which he can use on any enemies he doesnt double. He supports Jill, and is probably her best support option so an A or B support with Jill is almost a guarantee. He should be used unless all of the other pally and flying units are already being used. 6.75/10 - Haar's availability is the only thing holding him back.
  12. Ephriam's Reginleif. Its better than than the Rapier. Higher MT and most cavaliers and knights wield lances anyway Wolf Beil is a close 2nd place. It would be the best but it has only 30 use and FE7 effective MT bonuses suck.
  13. If you actually read the story instead of skipping it, you would know that Orson fits in with the story just fine, and you wouldn't be asking yourself such silly questions.
  14. PROS: -good movement -nice base stats -good growth rates CONS: -Laguz -comes late Ranulf is probably the best Laguz in the game, but Laguz still suck. Ranulf's big problem is the fact that when he joins we can have 5 Paladins and 3 fliers who are hands-down better. He has the 3rd best transformation gauge for Laguz, and the best stats of them all. Ranulf's base stats are are higher than Muarim's and they have the same base LV. If we passed on training a pally or flier Ranulf could be pretty useful, but being locked to such a weak weapon really hurts him. 3/10 - Laguz dont have alot going for them...
  15. NTNP used Tauroneo's FE10 growth rates for his rating...
  16. PROS: -Resolve -good weapon ranks -kinda high base stats CONS: -6 move -shit supports -no room to grow -speed sucks, even when he is in Resolve range Tauroneo sucks. He comes really late at way too high a LV. Maybe if he were like 20/8 he could make use of the KW, but no. He is LV 20/14 with a 13 SPD. His bases are really bad for his base LV and he pretty much needs to always be in Resolve range to have any use, and it can be difficult to get him into Resolve range because of his high defense. There is pretty much no reason to ever use Tauroneo. .5/10 - He does nothing for me. He cant even cap a single stat for transfers without giving him a several stat boosters...
  17. Prologue: 2/2 The usual 2 turn. Chapter 1: 5/7 Yay Eirika! Chapter 2: 5/12 Eirika did most of the work. Nessie saved Ross and helped Garcia. Didnt visit any villages. Chapter 3: 6/18 Nessie carried Eirika to the boss. Garcia fought shit. Chapter 4: 4/22 Eirika northwest. Artur east. Garcia south. Nessie southeast. Chapter 5: 4/26 Nessie ferried Eirika to the boss. Eirika weakened the boss, Nessie finished him. Got the Secret book and Dragon shield. No Joshy. Chapter 5x: 7/33 The usual. Kyle got some nice exp. No treasures though. Chapter 6 map: Nessie ate the dragon shield Chapter 6: 5/38 Nessie killed the boss. Got the Elixer, Iron blade, and Halberd.
  18. PROS: -good base stats -high weapon LVs -requires little to zero resourses CONS: -knives -not as good as the other sages when they are trained Calill is pretty good. She can be useful right away, and she can use pretty much any tome. Her cons dont matter because she wont need to be healing at all and she doest cost you anything to use her. Chances are that only 1 sage is getting trained so Calill can get thrown in when a 2nd sage is needed. 7.25/10 - It would be nice if she came with a C rank in staves...
  19. PROS: -transforms right away -flight CONS: -eventually un-transforms -not very tough Janaff is ok as far as Laguz go but lets face it. Laguz suck in FE9. He can be useful in Chapter 24 (i think? the mountain one) but thats about it for him. 2.75/10 - He can perform decently but there are too many units who are just simply better than him.
  20. [FE8] Your Run-of-the-Mill FE8 Draft! Hosted by Narshen he never submitted this Hawk King: Vanessa, Garcia, Artur, Kyle, L'Arachel, Syrene, Rennac *Narshen: Tana, Gerik, Lute, Saleh, Ross, Innes, Marisa Konnor97: Franz, Cormag, Natasha, Joshua, Amelia, Ewan, Colm Doga: Gilliam, Moulder, Duessel, Dozla, Knoll, Forde, Neimi
  21. Reyson is only weak against arrows when he is transformed. Every other 5 move dancer/bard recieves a score of 8 or higher. Reyson flys and transforms into an 8 movement refresher who can refresh 4 people at once! If you give him the boots and the Knight Ring he can really make shit happen. 10/10 - There is no reason to not deploy him for every map on every playthrough.
  22. PROS: -9 movement, flying, canto -good base stats -good weapon ranks -great support options/affinity -reinforce CONS: -a little fragile -joins late Tanith is the ultimate filler unit. Reinforce is extremely useful and her combat is on par with Titania's. 9/10 - She comes with her own personal army.
  23. Wow, this is one of the strangest FE8 drafts I have ever seen. I love my team. Im thinking 115 turns or less should be possible.
