  1. Activating Sol on the second strike, and probably healing for less, is annoying. Also, having a skill that lets you kill things faster helps you mash skip, which I also do. I prefer Renewal for that sort of thing. If you're mashing skip, you're probably not in any real danger, so healing for 28 HP each turn, while also activating any of the skills I mentioned earlier, can actually save turns.
  2. Sol is a great skill. However, since no one can proc more than one offensive skill at a time, it's not reliable in conjunction with other skills for which the RNG rolls before Sol (e.g. Lethality, Aether, Astra). Further, the activation of Sol prevents the activation of Luna, Ignis, and Vengeance. Renewal and Lifetaker are much more reliable under such circumstances.
  3. Yes, it can. It's beautiful. Going from 1 HP (Miracle says, "Screw you!" to Lethality) to 80 HP in a single turn without wasting another unit's turn to use a staff on the damaged unit is invaluable. I have Lifetaker on non-Galeforce units; while it's still great, I much prefer Renewal for such units. Galeforce has been getting flack?
  4. Suicidal Counter Warriors take the cake for most brutal deaths. After them come the reinforcements at the beginning of the enemy turn, which have ended some of my chapter prematurely.
  5. I put this combo on as many kids as possible, since I just find it so darned useful. For those characters who aren't Sorcerers, how valuable is this combo? Personally, I think it's very good, since Lethality/Astra can rob my units of opportunities to heal themselves. A flat +50% max HP per kill on my turn is just too good to pass up, especially when it procs with Galeforce.
  6. This explains why my team suddenly quit being received by my friends. Bummer, since I trained the SpotPass units for StreetPass.
  7. Good riddance, I say. Now I don't have to worry about my mages being weighed down by their tomes.
  8. I play casually, I suppose. Normal mode. Since I'm a Time Lord, I can save people from dying. I pick characters based first on looks, then on personality, then on utility. I make sure my favorites max as many stats as possible. If it flies, uses magic, or turns into a dragon, I like it. If not, it'd better be damned cool to make up for the disappointing lack of the aforementioned three attributes. Lol, my ultimate unit would be a Nosferatanking dragon-riding dragon.
  9. For male Avatar, Tiki. For female Avatar, Chrom.
  10. Which maps do you folks use for abusing Reeking Boxes? I make sure to have units who have Despoil, to offset the cost. I usually abuse Paralogue 6, since it can spawn promoted Risen up to level 15.
  11. Severa is irredeemably terrible. She's powerful but utterly unlikable.
  12. Virion had 12 Speed when I promoted him. That speaks for itself.
  13. Do Armsthrift and Rightful King stack? My Olivia!Inigo is too low a level to test this myself, but at capped 47 Luck, he shouldn't reduce weapon uses. 47 x 2 + 10 = 104% chance to activate.
  14. The battle between Chrom/Sumia and enemy Avatar was excellent.
  15. I see IP Board Mobile likes to fight my formatting. Those were supposed to be separated properly. What I most want, though, is MORE THAN 3 SAVE SLOTS!
  16. 1) Second Seals available earlier 2) Choose Morgan's name 3) Command allies to avoid/target enemies 4) Repair and combine weapons 5) Supports for DLC units 6) Unique models for DLC units 7) Weakness-nullifying item (Full Guard) 8) More victory conditions 9) Speed advantage of +6 to double attack, rather than +5 lol) Feet
  17. Is there any reason to talk to Anna with Chrom in P2?
  18. Discuss Paralogue 4 here. I finished the chapter without talking to Anna. Will I never be able to recruit her?
  19. Olivia x Chrom for the skills available to Lucina and Inigo. Cherche x Vaike for Gerome's high Str cap.
  20. That's actually the exact Support to which I was referring. How, then, would you suggest pairing those two?
  21. Say you want to pair two units for marriage but the second unit joins much later than the first. How easy would it be to accidentally give the first unit an S Support with another unit if they fight together frequently? Also, are the Support points displayed in a progress bar, or do you only know that two units have an A Support but have no clear idea how close they are to S?
  22. Funny you should mention that, since I actually preferred +Def -Lck to +Spd -Lck in the demo. I'd much rather have enough Def/Res to be double attacked for no damage than have enough Spd to double attack, while also taking a significant amount of damage. Plus, Def/Res overkill is funny, as the 'tink' a failed enemy attack makes never gets old. Being double attacked sucks, though, if you're facing something that can hurt you (read: magic units). Overall, for units that don't have exceptionally high stats, avoiding being double attacked is more important than taking less damage per hit. Getting hit for 6 x 2 is worse than getting hit for 9 x 1. Conversely, hitting for 6 x 2 is better than hitting for 9 x 1. Spd contributes to damage output and mitigation, which is a winning combination. Of course, it's pointless to double attack if you can't scratch your target. Also, effective damage is triple in this game, rather than double, which is unfortunate for those who rely on having such high defenses that Poleaxes can't leave a dent. Also, being attacked twice gives the attacker a higher chance of critting or activating their Skills. Really, this just boils down to the fact that I'd rather have a Paladin than either a General or a Swordmaster. EDIT: Path of Radiance Paladin, General, and Swordmaster.
  23. How many units can you field on the hardest maps? I'm mainly referring to the DLC maps that provide Limit Breaker, Iote's Shield, infinite legendary weapons. and the Ultimate Emblem.
