  1. What I meant is that just because Luke exists, doesn't mean he shouldn't consider the other options. You tend to sandbag every Prologue unit as if they were worthless, when it's not really true. In fact, in casual play, I've used Luke Ryan AND cecille all in one playthrough. Btw, what I said about Rody also applies in casual if you aren't rigging Rody's levels. He's got serious issues getting levels in the Prologue. If he has 8 spd, not even a RP use or a Speedwing can salvage him ever as a Hunter. And he doesn't really do anything else that well. Luke shines because he has actual base stats and isn't always 1 point short of str to KO weakened enemies. And cut the Ryan bias crap. He's not as good without the RP, but he's definetely still useful and a good unit to have around and even train. Like I've said before, your standards for good units are too high and they cloud your judgment. You can literally only see Luke as the only good Prologue unit. Hell, you even suggested once that Caeda is a bad unit to feed kills to.
  2. Don't forget: Wrath is ruled out because it comes in Chapter 18 and has a big IKE tag all over it. Unless you want a really crappy and difficult Berserk Ashnard fight. Even if she does get Wrath for some reason, it comes in Chapter 18 like I said, so that's Chapter 19 Wrath Mia at best. But zihark has been beating Mia in strength all this time. The argument that Mia can tie Zihark with a forge is so false, because I can just give that forge to Zihark and make him even better than her. Note that Zihark has Adept chances on every enemy, making his offense even better when compared to Mia's. Vantage is a crappy skill that needs her to be able to crit and OHKO with it. Mia critting everything she has to is a lot less likely to occur than Earth affinity avoids. Ugh, why am I even responding to these crazy arguments?
  3. Yuri <3 Yeah, it's definetely worth it. I loved the game a lot.
  4. This is pretty much false. You're cherrypicking by mentioning those character's flaws and not mentioning their strengths. Cecille can use the Lady Sword really well and has the best spd growth out of the cavaliers. Draug has really overkill spd growth and amazing offensive bases. I concede Rody because that guy is pretty much inferior Luke v.2.0 and Hunter, Pirate, etc is all done better by everyone else (can only get to Level 4 in LTC, 8 spd Hunter coming out of Prologue in LTC is awful). And Ryan has all the time in the world to get kills in the Prologue and a great bow rank, his absolute bases also rival Luke's barring the spd. Honestly, you overrate Luke. This is casual play, he can train all those units and they're some of the best choices to train for the longterm.
  5. Refa- I've done worse. In my H2 Playthrough, I forged a Steel Lance 1 MT just so I didn't have to restart as often in Chapter 3 because a DK could proc def and was making recording more difficult! Also, Horace, read the above ;(
  6. 7. Also, I'm testing my Lena just now on Medeus with the Lightsphere (which is stupid because it has no effect but WHATEVER) since I have an endgame file of H5, lucky you. Sadly, Jake was fodder and I sold pachyderm so no luck there. My Lena: Level 20/10 Sage 28 HP 3 Str 23 Mag 15 Skl 19 Spd 25 Lck 5 Def 19 Res Tome A Staff A does 8 damage to Medeus with Swarm. So, assuming 30 mag, she can definetely deal a huge chunk of damage to Medeus on her own. Her displayed hit is 70 and my Lena has like no skill. EDIT: Mashing fortify more than me could help a lot. Though I don't think you're gonna get the Hammerne... EDIT 2: His stats are definetely 25 (+2 from throne) and 23 res after he transforms. That 0 luck could also be exploited.
  7. Zihark has a better skill, better strength and doesn't need shitty mages to support him in order to be good. Mia's advantage is just availability.
  8. Yeah, I think Palla is enough. Catria just doesn't have a lot of ways to get exp in LTC aside from chapter 15, and even then, she's outclassed by Palla and her silver. And I wasnt sure why you were still using Ogma.
  9. Right, Lightsphere is a thing. Go for it, but you should probably not overdo it. By that, I mean you gotta keep giving exp to your combat units too!
  10. Then you could aim towards a 2 turn with Beck, Lena Swarmer and Xane Beck? Also, damn, those are very late reinforcements in Ch16 :/
  11. ^ Doubtful. Besides, there's only 5 Drops even with the buyable ones. So only one of them is really feasible.
  12. Ah, I see. Next chapter does have a shit ton of enemies, so it'd be a good time to give Palla Catria, the cavaliers and the ballistas experience. And you have to take it slower due to Arran/Samson too. @ Roofa- I think he will have Gotoh. EDIT: Though, iirc, Gotoh does like no damage to Medeus with Swarm.
  13. I'm looking at this http://fireemblem.wikia.com/wiki/Archetype scroll down to Est and you'll find it says Katarina. Besides, her growths, bases and jointime screams Est.
  14. Well, does she fit the archetype? Katarina is an Est, the Wiki says so :P
  15. Katarina is my favorite Est. Aura makes her not a pain to train, can use staves and has a Drill Ground to train in.
  16. Ah, I see. I was forgetting Tiki and Nagi have shit move and there's no warp. That definetely sounds like the fastest way. Though you would still need the Pally to get there, which take like 4 or 5 turns.
  17. Hmm...do you think you can save turns with Pachyderm? Isn't that thing too inaccurate to hit Medusa?
  18. Maybe give 1 Energy Drop each to the Peg Sisters.
  19. Oh, I see. No mixed reclass after all? All that does is limit your options :P. You still have one Prologue horseman choice though: Draug. It's the least preferable option, but you still have a horseman yet!
  20. Mage Avatar doesn't double consistently after Prologue. Especially in Lunatic, where you have to invest in your defenses to get through Jagen. 4 base spd with enemies after Prologue having 9 minimum. You'd have to get 9 levels of spd to double or 7 spd levels + Rainbow Potion or a wing. Not to mention, once Silvers start showing, she's dead if you let her get attacked even once.
  21. The only Zelda characters will be: Toon Link, Link, Zelda, Sheik, Ganondorf You heard it here first.
  22. Well, here goes: Mercenary is meh after Prologue, because he's got sword rank and nothing else. He has the potential to beat every other Avatar in the Prologue due to the possibility of a rigged 2 turn Prologue 5, but you don't care about turns, and it is as riggy as strat as they can get. If you want good Horseman for lategame (best lategame class), just use one of the Prologue horseman for it. Archer is super meh after Prologue. Avatar has the potential to be your best combat unit for a very long time alongside Palla (until your horseman and Catria take over) so wasting him as an Archer->Hunter is super bad and will give you a super terrible time. Use this if you want to limit the Avatar, but I don't recommend it in a first playthrough. Your turns will suffer too but that's irrelevant here. Mage relies a lot on the other Prologue units (Luke, Caeda, Ryan, Athena etc) to do all the dirty jobs. Can't really take a hit for a long time. Still a beatable Prologue, but not a nice trip through it. After the Prologue, she can Nosferatank in a few maps, but that's better left to Linde or someone else tbh. Fighter is super great after Prologue because he builds very nice axe rank during the Prologue. Good natural axe users are a rarity in this game (even Barst has his issue) Prone to random whiffs in the Prologue, specially in Prologue 4 Athena Route but a nice Avatar to beat the Prologue with. Note that this guy's Prologue is highly offensive, as it can't really take many hits. If you really like his mugshot and all, I think you should pick this one. Don't care if someone else has done this guy a million times.
