  3. As much I like Spirits, I am slightly bummed they're the closest we have to Event matches. If, hypothetically, they were still in Ultimate instead of Spirits, what kind of Events would you guys think would be fun? Here are some of my ideas from back during the pre-release days, in an older thread by the user @AnonymousSpeed: “Die, monster! You don’t belong here!” (Note: Stamina match) You: Richter (200 HP) Ally: Simon (200 HP) Opponent: Dracula (Boss) Description: Richter has traveled back in time to ensure that his ancestor, Simon, succeeds in defeating Dracula, who has grown ever stronger due to an error in the flow of time. If either of them fail, both will cease to exist…along with the entirety of the Belmont clan that may never be. Victory: Dracula is defeated Defeat: You or Simon are defeated Cuddly Mass Attack! You: BowserOpponent: Kirby (x43, 2.0 launch ratio; all of them are pink)Stage: Delfino PlazaDescription: “Darn it, what’re these pink things?! They’ve been following me all day trying to hug me and it’s DISGUTSING! Do I need a Koopa Troop air strike? There’s almost 50 of them! Any more time with them and I’ll go crazy.”Victory: All enemies are defeatedDefeat: Bowser is defeated (two stocks) or time runs out (3:20)
  4. As much as I'd like to see Sakurai himself be a character, I'm not sure that joke was in good taste.
  5. Not to get anyone's hopes up, but do you think we MIGHT get an FP6 reveal at or around this time?
  6. Boss: Dr. N. Gin Game of Origin: Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (1997) What does the boss do? N. Gin’s battle mech would be an entirely new design (use the above attachment as a basis). The glowing claws are detached from the main body and remote-controlled, while the shoulders have gatling guns with missiles in the center slot attached to them. Phase 1: N. Gina's mech's claws, which are in the background, start floating around just near the platforms. -Energy Laser: N. Gin fires a laser from both his mech’s claws, which move up and down in opposite directions going from one side to another (8% each, small knockback) -Energy Circle: One of the claws creates a cross of smaller lasers and turns it around either to the left or right for four turns (6% each, small knockback) -Claw Rush: N. Gin shoots lasers from one of his claws facing diagonally downwards (6% each, small knockback), and then rushes in by spinning his claw like a drill (14%, OK knockback) -Death Grip: One of the mech's claws will try to grab the player. If successful, the claw blasts the player twice (16%), and then shoots them down onto the ground (13%, OK knockback) Phase 2: The green energy core inside the mech-a satellite in the shape of a hexagon-shows itself, and N. Gin starts using the two gatling guns on its shoulders. -Laser Pellets: The core starts shooting large groups of tiny green lasers all around the stage (1% each, small knockback) -Core Laser: The core fires a longer laser that goes from either the left or right (15%, OK knockback) -Gatling Rain: The gatling guns shoot bullet-like lasers onto one half of the stage (1-2% each, small knockback) -Sneaky Missile: Three missiles from the center of either gun fires off and comes in from a side (7% each, OK knockback; for example, missiles from the right gun come in from the right). There will be a hole in between the missiles to which the player can get to safety. N. Gin’s battle mech is entirely in the background and never faces the player. So what do you do? You attack the glowing claws and the green circle core from which he shoots his laser beams. Setting/Intro: The space station where he is fought in Crash 2. The intro is based on the one in that game as well. Defeat: Exactly the same as in Crash 2, where N. Gin's mech explodes and he flies off into space. Who fights this boss in Classic Mode? -Fox (N. Gin's mech resembles enemy ships from the Star Fox series) -Daisy (N. Gin's mech is similar in design to Tatanga's) -Zero Suit Samus (N. Gin's mech has two giant robotic claws) -Sonic (N. Gin's mech is pretty Eggman-esque) -Cloud (N. Gin's mech is essentially a weaponized vehicle) -Ridley (The fight takes place in a space station) And Crash, if he hypothetically got in and they added DLC bosses. I considered Mega Man as well, but HE already fights Galleom, so I figure it would make complications in programming them both. Music: Dr. N. Gin's theme
  7. Fates I understand, but in all fairness, Temple of Mila is originally from Gaiden, which means I'm technically representing the NES era.
  8. One thing I’ll never not be disappointed about with Ultimate, even if it’s nothing important, is the fact that old stages took such a priority that there are a grand total of 15 new stages (4 base game, 5 in FP Vol. 1, and 6 in FP Vol. 2). If it were up to me, I’d have way less than a hundred (probably 67 at most for the base game; 45 new stages, 22 old ones). Some of the stages I’d include are: -Super Bell Hill (3D World) -Gangplank Galleon (Donkey Kong) -Clock Town (Majora’s Mask) -King Bowser’s Halls (Wooly World) -Ripple Star (Kirby 64) -Aether Paradise (Sun and Moon) -8-Bit Glacier (Ice Climber) -Temple of Mila (Gaiden/Shadows of Valentia) -Opera House (Fates) -8-Bit Kid Icarus (a stage that travels between the Underworld, Overworld, and Skyworld) -Studiopolis Zone (Sonic Mania) -Gyromite (a game of Gyromite with a R.O.B. toy in the living room in the background; the game takes place inside the TV) -Vega Stage (Street Fighter)
  9. Banjo-Kazooie: Class of ‘98 (battles opponents based on the legacy of the Nintendo 64) Stage 1: Young Link, Ganondorf and Sheik on Gerudo Valley (Hyrule Field (Brawl)) Stage 2: Kirby and King Dedede on Green Greens (Planet Popstar) Stage 3: Pikachu, Jigglypuff and Mewtwo (free-for-all) on Pokémon Stadium (Main Theme - Pokémon Red and Blue (64)) Stage 4: Fox and Falco (allies) vs. Wolf x4 on Corneria (Main Theme - Star Fox 64) Stage 5: Samus and Yoshi on Super Happy Tree (Brinstar (64)) Stage 6: Mario, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong on Spiral Mountain (Spiral Mountain) Boss: Ganondorf (team battle w/Diddy Kong; Crocodile Cacophony)
  10. Byleth and Robin: Student-Teacher Ratio (faces opponents based off recurring Fire Emblem gameplay mechanics) Stage 1: Ike and Cloud (normal battles) on Castle Siege Ω (Attack - Fire Emblem) Stage 2: Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard (Weapon Triangle) on Pokémon Stadium (Preparing to Advance) Stage 3: Young Link first and Link second (Class Changes) on Palutena’s Temple Ω (Gear Up For…) Stage 4: Inkling Girl and Boy (Durability) on Luigi’s Mansion (Coliseum Series Medley) Stage 5: Roy (Ally; Recruitment) and Ganondorf on Coliseum (Story 5 Meeting) Stage 6: Ridley with Death’s Scythe (Permadeath) on Dracula’s Castle (Lord of a Dead Empire) Boss: Rathalos (Code Name F.E.)
  11. The current reveal trailer formula of a character being invited to Smash somehow, and having gameplay to accompany them…but most importantly, the taglines for each character, the most recent of which being “Byleth Recruits…Byleth!” All thanks to E3 2013, where we not only first saw Smash 4, but also had these 3 taglines: ”Villager Comes to Town!” “Mega Man Joins the Battle!” ”Wii Fit Trainer Weighs In!” What’s your opinion on the formula for giving each newcomer their own trailer? Personally, I like it because it makes every newcomer reveal feel special in their own way.
  12. If there were an Intermediate Mode for the series (as in, a mode between Casual and Classic), my idea was this: -Any fallen units are absent for a few battles -There is a timer next to the units' portraits; units with a 2 must be absent for one battle, and units with a 3 must be absent for two battles. -Units with a 1 can battle again, but at a catch; there max HP is reduced by 2, and they are lost forever when they fall in battle again. -Surviving for 4 turns removes the 1 from the unit's portrait, and their max HP is returned to normal, but their current in-battle HP remains the same. -When a unit falls to a normal hit, their timer number is 2. When they fall to a critical hit, their timet number is 3.
  13. I'm...pretty sure I did? I made a fine print confirming this is the case.
  14. I meant in-match when "GAME" or "TIME" appears.
  15. Well, to be fair, the black motif is something of a broad kind of Event, and plenty of other Spirits have this. So not much leeway for new Spirits, in my opinion.
  16. With certain characters having their own personalized quotes for victory screens against certain opponents, I only wish we had more of these for other characters. So, here were some ideas of mine: -Fox vs. Wolf: “Can’t let you win, Wolf.” -Falco vs Wolf: “Corneria’s enemy is Star Fox’s enemy.” -Pit vs. Bayonetta: “That’s for the Centurions!” -Dark Pit vs. Bayonetta: “Sorry, but I’m no little angel.” -Sonic vs. Mario: “Never dull with you around here!” -Sonic vs. Dark Samus, Daisy, Dr. Mario, Lucina, Dark Pit, or Ken: "When will you fakers EVER learn?" -When Sonic wins against Lucina or Young Link, this plays: https://youtu.be/YS6VFMYGAl0 -Lucario vs. Mewtwo: “Where have I seen that aura...?” -Wolf vs. Duck Hunt: "How can you call yourself a dog?" -Wii Fit Trainer vs. any large or fat characters: “You’ve got lots of work to do.” -Palutena vs. Bayonetta: “This is one angel you can’t slaughter!” -Shulk vs. Popo without Nana or Rosalina without Luma: “Don’t worry, you’re not powerless.” -Ryu vs. Ken: “Let’s spar again soon.” -Ken vs. Ryu: “Just like old times, huh, Ryu?” -Corrin vs. Palutena or Bayonetta: “Light or dark…which one?” -Bayonetta vs. Pit or Dark Pit: “Nothing personal, children.” -Bayonetta vs. Palutena: “Even a goddess has fell to me.” -Terry and Ken: Ken tosses Terry’s hat to him and Terry puts it on. -Byleth vs. any Fire Emblem character: “I see potential in you.”
  17. Sorry to triple post, but there’s a new Spirit event with a black motif. And Lotus from Warframe is one of the Spirits, not even joking.
  18. Exactly as I said about Jill SEVERAL POSTS AGO.
  19. Exactly! If Jill Valentine ever got in, they could just use another piece of artwork for their Fighter Spirit.
  20. After playing Three Houses, I think I've figured out one problem we can fix with the Endgame manakete bosses; give them multiple layers of HP like the monster enemies in Three Houses.
