I’m going through SSBU and going through every Spirit Battle via the rematch feature and I noticed that a lot of seemingly no-brainer characters for Spirits among the franchises already represented via playable characters…just aren’t Spirits.

The only new game I played this year was Kirby & The Forgotten Land. My only gripe is that you can’t choose to play as Bandana Waddle Dee without needing two players, even after you beat the game. Other than that, it’s one of my favorite games ever! Also, side note: I didn’t play Sonic Frontiers, but I’m glad it’s been positively received and able to sell as well as at did (2.5 million copies within its first month, to be exact).

Street Fighter series (Bold indicates a new remix)

Yes, I’m serious. After 2 and a half decades, the Pokémon anime series will have a brand new protagonist in a new series coming out in 2023.

I think Star Wars also lends itself extremely well to the musou genre.

Frontiers sold 2.5 million copies in just a month, which I think is the fastest selling Sonic game since Sonic 2 on Genesis.

A Fire Emblem fighting game.

I’m probably the only one here who genuinely likes Dragalia Lost because of how generous of a gacha it is, and I wish it could’ve gotten a Switch port (whether or not they remove the gacha aspect is another matter).

I do enjoy the characters of most fighting games, but I could never get into the traditional motion input gameplay.

On a lesser note, I was kinda disappointed when the customization feature and Objectives from Kingdom Hearts 0.2 didn't make a return in Kingdom Hearts III. Hopefully they'll revisit those in the future.

When a particular fan base is so zealous about a game they like they’ll happily sabotage other. Case in point, right now the Game Awards Players’ Choice vote is going on and two of the choices are Sonic Frontiers, and…Genshin Impact. Right now, both fanbases are at each other’s throat for Players’ Choice, but the Genshin side in particular is acting pretty lame because they’re convinced it’ll net them more gacha materials.

We just got a DLC roadmap for the game. And believe it or not, all of this is totally free!

Hm…best i can see with that concept is specific teams of specific Pair and Solo Units.

First and foremost, I seriously hope they patch out all the technical issues this game has.

Sora from Kingdom Hearts; he’s the kind of character who stays positive no matter how bad the situation gets.

While I like World of Light as is, I think it would've been more interesting if there were certain sub-areas that acted as SSE-style platforming levels, that way some more balance against the Spirit Battles can be provided.
