Except every time I add a bonus unit to my defense team, my lift loss goes down. I added Gunnthra to it this week and it dropped. ๏ปฟ

Gunnthra is an in-season legendary unit. (She is also a bonus unit, but that is not relevant.) Do you have Yune on your defense team?

[edit] Ice Dragon beat me to it.

No, only Dark and Anima blessings (and Legendaries matching the current season) do that and only if you have the matching Mythic on the defense team.

Bonus units don't provide an additional reduction in Lift loss beyond what you'd normally get if they were blessed (or a matching Legendary). I made a team of 3 Gunnthras, 2 Dumas, and Alfonse (all 6 are bonus units this week, and Duma is off season) and the game tells me my base Lift loss is still 80.

Yeah, I guess I should have specified that the mythics have to be in season as well, but that mechanic has been in place since legendaries were introduced.

No, they lower the amount of lift you lose in a defensive loss too.

Blessed units add lift for offense and reduce lift loss for defense. In season legendaries are treated as blessed units (for offense or defense).

Bonus units give stats for both offense and defense, but only give extra lift for offense. The lift on offense does stack, so a blessed bonus unit will give both the blessed and bonus lift.

Grima would be great for me because i don't have her yet either. (but i mean it would be better if she showed up with Evil Corrin or evil baby TIki and someone else i don't have or good fodder). but i'd like to get 2 hectors (at least) and then save for Hinoka (or be seduced by Summer 2 2019). but if It's Elincia/Micaiah. then i'll be in big big trouble.ย

I don't have her either, but I don't really want her. She does have a nice version of Iote's Shield. If that were inheritable, then I'd take several copies. ๐Ÿ˜€

I see. I'm low on stones though, and I want to use them to upgrade the healing tower and bolt tower too.

I've gotten some use out of an upgraded Bolt Tower (although it can put enemies into Vantage range so be careful). The Healing Tower wasn't that useful for me though. I'd personally just bring an offensive healer like Veronica or a singing healer like Leanne or Reyson. In light season, you also have the healing from one or two Eirs. We do get a few hundred stones per week, so it's easy to save up again. Upgrade whatever works best for you.

You'd think, but for me it tends to take too long to defeat the other enemies AND bust my way through all the obstacles blocking me to the last enemy.

Yeah, that can be an issue. One thing that helped me with eliminating tough units at the end was upgrading the Dark Shrine. The Dark Shrine lowers both the defense and resistance of the enemy unit with the highest combined total defensive stats (at the start of any turn). The maximum upgraded Dark Shrine drops defense and resistance both by five points. It does not matter where you place it.

    [edit]

Make sure you get the offensive Dark Shrine and not the defensive one. Also, there's a Light Bright Shrine that does the same thing for attack and speed.

I still hate teams that have one unit trapped in a corner

I like these teams because you only have to worry about five defenders rather than six. The jailed units are easy targets at the end for ranged or armor effective units. It took a little setup, but I had green Hammer Haar take out red Halloween Myrrh and survive.

Friend damage only helps in killing the Rokkr (and therefore the trivial rewards for finishing one off), it doesn't count towards your score at all.

I keep forgetting that. Seeing all the damage numbers on the screen makes it seem like it should count. ๐Ÿ˜€

So you'd have to calculate it all out per round, taking into account the multiplier. That sounds awful, but is possible.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say that, as a colorblind person, I can't discern between armor and cavalry dragonflowers unless there's help text or something

Some colored icons have shapes like the weapon triangle and summon stones. Badges, shards, and crystals each share their own design across color, but inventory placement can help distinguish them. (They are not rare or important resources at least.) Tomes and dragons were the only original types that didn't have a unique shape per color, but they also were not available as colorless. Fewer overall units would have made it easier to memorize the specific tome or dragon unit colors. It's more complicated now that dragons, beasts, bows, and daggers are available in all four colors.

I don't really try for merges for 5* units at all anymore.ย  It's just not worth it.ย  (Literally)

Yeah, that's true. I only try to merge a few 5* favorites, so I skip most banners (except mythic ones).

I'm not really feeling this banner, but Red Infantry BST would be nice for Arena, I suppose.

Yeah, a Red Dual skill can give a couple dancer units decent arena and allegiance battle scores.

I used my one red orb to try for Helbindi, but it wasn't meant to be. I do have a green one though. I usually don't try to merge red units because they are so hard to get. Only got one Tibarn in 500 orbs on that first banner. ๐Ÿ™‚

  12. @eclipse I have almost as many summer units as you, and I think they weren't actually from summer banners.ย ๐Ÿ˜€ Innes and Cordelia are still around somewhere, but Elise wasn't that useful, so she got turned into a manual. Summer units do have some of the most fun seasonal weapon designs.

@Interdimensional Observer Well, it is a still image, so there's that at least. Anyway, some of the magic tomes float, so perhaps that power helps keep things in place? ๐Ÿ˜›

I have three 5* units off of this banner so far.ย  Zero of them are Helbindi.ย  And I need to have a nice, long talk with whoever considers Berkut a waifu.

I thought I knew what banner you were using, then got really confused by Berkut. ๐Ÿ˜›

Got one free red orb and tried for Helbindi, but got nice ready-made Wings of Mercy instead (4* Cain). I suppose that's a good value for a free summon.

(Some character designs make me wonder if they'll increase the game's rating eventually. ๐Ÿ™„ I guess if the game is ever classified as a form of gambling, they'll have an argument that the game isn't for children... I personally like more kid-friendly games. Oh well. ๐Ÿ˜ง)
