  1. I noticed a few mistakes, and as such, am making corrections and changes to the rules at the moment. We also have 5 people, so I'll randomize the draft order in a bit. Randomized Draft Order: 1. Kay 2. Kopfjager 3. Eclipse 4. Dokutayuu 5. 13thshadow
  2. Precisely. By my count since we have 55 draftable characters (11 each) and the last round is a normal draft, you will have 6 people of your choice with a class that is someone else's choice, as well as 5 people someone else chose for you with a class of your choice. I'm hoping the double-picking would be able to cut down on the time spent drafting units too, since this way we'd finish drafting in 6 rounds instead of 11.
  3. Kay, what part of the rules do you have questions on? I'll try to clarify as best I can.
  4. This draft is inspired by The recent trend of SOYO and Reclass drafts around, but with a little twist... Drafting: 1. This draft is for 5 players. 2. Marth, A Ballistician (Choose one), A thief (Choose one), Xane, Elice, and Nagi are free for all to use. 3. The game will be played on Normal. Rules: 1. Undrafted units may recruit characters, visit houses, trade, meatshield, shop, and of course, die for the greater good. 2. Undrafted units may not do anything not listed above, including but not limited to opening chests/doors. 3. Gaiden and prologue chapters do not count towards the total turncount up to 20 turns taken. 4. You are free to reclass undrafted units to whatever you want. 5. Marth may not Seize the throne in Chapter 18 before Turn 5. (Apparently it is only possible to make 4-turns in the PAL version of the game.) 6. All Gaidens are mandatory. That includes 24x, so effectively Gotoh is banned. 7. Warp-Skipping is NOT allowed. The Warp staff may be used for other purposes though. This means simply that you may not warp Marth. Ever. Other: 1. Wi-Fi Shop is strictly prohibited. 2. You may not use loaner units. 3. Forges are only allowed of Iron weapons and the Fire tome and to +/- 3 MT and WT, +/-15 Hit and +/-9 Crit. Please indicate when and how much you forge a weapon (Ex. Forged a lance for Vyland called Awful with +3 MT and -3 WT). 4. Aum Staff is legal for the Falchion trick if you wish to use it. 5. If you cannot reclass to your given class because that spot is not being taken by an undrafted or generic unit, you must reclass the undrafted or generic unit to something else to allow your drafted unit to use that class (so you can't weasel your way out of having a dark mage). Penalties: 1. Undrafted units have a 4 turn penalty, per unit per chapter. 2. Using a unit in a class other than its given class (after reclassing is available for that unit) has a 44 turn penalty (as in, don't do it). 3. NOT recruiting a drafted unit has a 44 turn penalty (as in, get them all). 4. Losing drafted unit (death in combat) has a 22 turn penalty. You may however keep undesired drafted units on the bench. You do not receive this penalty if you later revive the dead unit via the Aum Staff, and yes, the Falchion trick is legal. Note: Free units count as "drafted" for the purpose of this rule. Twist: 1. When you get a turn to pick, you will first pick a unit for yourself, and then pick a second unit for the person next in line. In essence, half of each person's team will be determined by SOYO-style drafts while the other half are that person's own picks. (Since we use the usual snake-style 1234554321 picking order, the people who picks twice in a row will first pick a unit for the person on the other end of the order, then the one going after them. So for example player 5 will first pick a unit for him/herself, then a unit for player 1, then another for him/herself, then another for player 4.) The last round of picks will be a regular draft however, due to the number of draftable characters available. *The order for the SOYO picks is 23451 and then 43215 on the other direction. The drafting is the usual snake style of 1234554321. 2. The person who receives a unit from the player before them gets to choose which class the given unit becomes, as well as which class the unit picked by the player before them for him/herself becomes. (Example: Player 1 picks Frey for himself, and gives Ymir to Player 2. Player 2 then opts to make Ymir a Berserker, while in turn making Player 1's Frey into a Dark Mage/Sorcerer.) In other words, you get to pick the class of the unit you get from SOYO drafts, while you never get to pick the class of the unit you get from your own picks. Do unto others what you wish others to do unto you people. So to be more specific each player may have at most one of each of: Class A / Female Cavalier/Pegasus -> Paladin Pegasus/Cavalier -> Draco Archer -> Sniper Myrmidon -> Swordmaster Mage -> Sage Cleric/Curate -> Bishop Class B Knight -> General Mercenary -> Hero Fighter -> Warrior Pirate -> Berserker Hunter -> Horseman Dark Mage -> Sorceror If someone has one of each of a class-set you may begin anew on that set. Ballisticians, Thiefs, Manaketes and Marth are obviously not reclassed. Because of this, you may not have two of these classes, nor give people another unit of these classes if they already have one picked. (This means that you may pick and use one of Bantu/Tiki despite Nagi being free, but may not get another one) In case you are still confused by the rules, here is a sample round of drafting in this method: P1 picks Frey, gives P2 Elice P2 chooses to make Elice a Curate/Bishop, makes P1's Frey a Mage/Sage in return. P2 picks Caeda, gives P3 Minerva P3 Keeps Minerva as a Draco, and chooses to be nice to P2 and lets P2 use a Cav/Pally Caeda P3 choose Abel, gives P4 Darros. P4 makes Darros into a Knight/General and in return makes P3's Abel a Curate/Bishop just for laughs. P4 chooses Cain and gives P5 Ymir. P5 turns Ymir into a berserker and gives P4 an Archer/Sniper Cain. P5 chooses Draug, gives Villuck to P1, picks Ogma, and gives Lorenz to P4 P4 has to change Lorenz's class since he already has a General, and makes him into a Warrior. P4 gives P5 a Dark Mage!Ogma. Player List: 1. Kopfjager 2. Kay 3. 13thShadow 4. Dokutayuu 5. Eclipse Randomized Draft Order: 1. Kay: Mrym/SM!Frey, Sorcerer!Lorenz, Peg/Pally!Athena, Merc/Hero!Draug, Knight/General!Ogma, Cleric/Bishop!Maria, Mage/Sage!Boah, Berserker!Horace, Draco!Midia, Horseman!Astram 2. 5. Best: Sirius's Mask, He really needed to wear Red, sleeveless shirts and paint his weapons and horse Red as well. Worst: Marth'sTiara
  6. Totally agreed. We need more woman like her in the gaming world.
  7. You're right. Radney is the first one. I forgot all about her since Ayra is ALWAYS married in my games. XD
  8. Yeah. No wonder I kept thinking that way. IIRC it's the one with bean curd wasn't it?
  9. I foresee a female merc who'll likely be manlier than part of the male cast. Which is a good thing, mind you. I never liked overly feminine female warriors in any kind of games. Pants is perfectly fine IMHO. And for reference... The first female merc in FE history. Pants are perfectly fine. Her name reminds me of Sushi for some reason though.
  10. I got nothing to do so count me in.
  11. According to that chart, I'm WAY overweight for my height. (5'11, 240-ish)
  12. HP: 4 Str: 4 Skl: 2 Spd: 1 Lck: 2 Def: 4 Res: 3 Con: 4

    Twilight

Flamewars are in general, stupid. This one not excluded. As for twilight... Well... Way overhyped and overrated. It's the kind of book I expect to see in the garbage can rather than being a best-seller honestly
  14. Out of curiosity, which server do you guys play in? I play LoL in the SEA server, same nick as what I use here. Also, anyone interested in Riven? I'm planning to buy her the moment she comes out (Got IP saved up).
  15. Pegasus Knight -> SM Rena Just noticed that the one pre-promo slot was already taken by draco minerva. Changing to SM. If you choose to take SM midia though, make Rena Draco instead.
  16. Depends on the Renair. PEMN, but my two renairs (10A and 10B) both ended up rather insane, so... And by insane I mean this kind: Side note: re-patched my ROM and I got the weapon off chapter 7B. My impressions so far on the characters, based on what I had in two runs through 10 A and B: Renair: Both times, she ended up going rather wacko (the 10B version is somewhat weaker since she's lower-leveled. The solo-action on 8A and part of 9A + 6x gave my 10A Renair a level advantage over her 10B counterpart), with insane speed and good-to-great str. Her defenses are rather low, but she's pretty dodgy. In a way, I treated her a bit like Lyn, just with a crappier weapon but better stats. Furetchen: A Godsend. He tanks. He weakens. He kills. He does anything I need him to, and that despite only being level 3 on average for my saves, since I very rarely had him kill and use him more for mass-weakening of enemies. Kolbane: I assume his growths are around the 40-60% mark, because the two I had fluctuates rather widely. One is a harder-hitting, tougher, slower version of Renair, while another sucks big time. His support options make him usable regardless though. Illanice: High Res and Spd seems guaranteed. Str growth seems to be iffy, but that's to be expected of peggies. Wing Spear means she's useful all the time even if her str is screwed. Amelia: PEMN, but my Amelias felt as if I got a Nino given to me very early on, with predictable results. She typically massacres whatever she hits, with ease. Chester: Thief utility, but has pretty decent combat stats too. He seems to gain Def rather often, which is unusual. Crowe: Death to anything that flies, and to anything on foot too. High str, high spd, decent durability, nothing to complain about. Lumi: Tougher than the usual mrym, while still hitting hard and fast. Rather low Res seems to be her only weakness. Lia: One word: Awesome. Will cap levels FAST, grows well (Mag seems to cap/near-cap easily). Has a horse. What's not to like? A bit fragile against physical enemies, but that's all I'll complain about, and even that's expected. Gabriel: That speed... UGH. If I go A-route I foresee him getting benched for River once she joins. Hits pretty hard, but has accuracy issues, and practically never doubles any non-armor. Juan: VERY useful regardless of which route you take. On Musain, he's mandatory for 8A and early 9A. On Onduris, he is a mrym's worst nightmare. Prf weapon makes it even worse for his enemies. Flying tank, although he doesn't double that often. Musain Route: Astra: Kicks ass. Take Hector and give him an even BETTER Prf weapon. Bam. Astra. Seren: So far, so good. She seems to grow well, and grows the right stats to be a nasty fighter. Playable soldier is very appreciated. Adrian: Not as cute as Lienn. Enjolras: Another Mage. Could replace Amelia if yours is RNG-screwed, though in my case he's likely to get benched instead as he pales compared to my blessed Amelia. Enjol's X-Mas Knights: No comments. Haven't tried them much yet. Onduris Route: Seymour: Pales compared to Astra (or Renair). His Prf weapon is rather underwhelming. Still decent though, but it really makes your team sword-heavy. Chase: Benched. Doesn't hold a candle to Crowe. Though I can see him being used if Crowe is RNG-screwed. Kanus: Another playable soldier, and another good one so far. I haven't had them for long, but from the growths I get so far Kanus seems to be tougher and slower than Seren. Rena: And another wyvern rider, which is perfectly welcome. Is it just me or is she a faster, less-defensive version of Juan? Balder: Kicks. Ass. OMGWTF bases, axes, promotes to zerk? I'm sold. Lienn: Much cuter than Adrian. ^_^
  17. Sorry about the double post. One thing that's bugging me: That empty house in the middle of the mountains in 7b. Just empty and a waste of time? or something hidden there if a specific character visits it? I've only tried with Illanice and Juan, but curious about its purpose.
  18. My bigger issue on that point is probably the fact that by the time I got chase, I was down to Furet's Greatbow, a 12 or so use Steel, and a nearly depleted Iron bow between ALL my people. I ended up just stealing Chase's bow and giving it to Crowe so I can USE him without fear of running out of weapons. Granted, I am not exactly speed-running, and farmed reinforcements most of the time, but the money situation in Onduris is rather nasty. it's not much help to have shops available when you don't even have any money to use from chapter 6 to begin with. Think it's possible to put some gem/cash in between 6 and 9B? EDIT- Oh, one last thing. PLEASE do give us a reason to Murder Varkade later on. Preferably in a horrible and inhuman manner. PLEASE.
  19. Okay, got my stats for those that got insanely blessed. This is around the end of 10B. NAME LEVEL HP PW SK SP LK DE RE Renair 16.65 30 15 16 20 11 10 7 Ilanice 14.44 25 15 13 20 9 6 10 Amelia 17.90 26 17 14 18 12 6 12 Lumi 14.53 28 14 12 19 9 11 3 On a side note, the RNG has been picky with me in many FE games I play. My team rarely has "average" units. Only insanely blessed or horridly screwed units >_< Granted, in my case the levels of the insanely blessed are naturally inflated since they end up massacring the majority of a chapter's worth of enemies, while those that got screwed are slowly decomposing in the back.On my 10A run Renair is about as insane, though she's also 2 levels higher due to the solo-chapters she has. Juan wasn't screwed, but I had a Str-screwed Lumi there, as well as a Spd-screwed Amelia. What goes around comes around I guess. Impressions: Chapter 1-6: - Chapter 3 is annoying, although this is mostly due to the flood of exp-less reinforcements. - Chapter 5 is rather luck-based the first time you run through it, since you have no idea where the enemies are coming from. - Money is tight all around. Musain Route: - Astra + Speedwing = Win - The X-mas Cavs are a bit underwhelming. - PEMN, but Seren Rocks. <3 Femme soldiers. - It's a bit annoying to get enjolras' bunch back without any equipment. Onduris Route: - Money is HARD to get. I ended up selling the secret book I get at 9B to be able to buy weapons since most of my teams were about to run out of weapons at that point. - Chase feels superflous since Crowe should be superior to him in all aspects by the time you get him. - I assume you can't get some characters from one split if you take the other, so the choice is between Enjol + the X-mas knights + Seren Vs Chase + Rena + that soldier dude whose name I forgot + Balder... IMHO Amelia should be all the mage power most people need, the soldiers cancel each other out... Either an Axe-user that's not a prepromo and a 2nd Draggy or a 2nd mage and a pair of cavs... The dancer is cuter than the bard by far though.
  20. Tried it, plain awesome so far. Chapter 3 is a bit annoying with the EXP-less enemies, but I understand the reason for that. The RNG has been terribly PICKY with my units though. Renair, Lumi, Amelia, and Illanice all turned out godly. By Godly I mean I have a SPD-capped 15 Str Renair at chapter 10B's Start, and Illanice has around the same Str with just a little less spd. IIRC My Amelia was like 17 Mag 17 Spd or so, while Lumi also comes close to maxing Spd and has around 13-14 Str (although I don't think I got more than 1-2 Skl out of her so far). on the other hand... My Kolbane SUCKS. As does Juan. And Crowe. And Chester (who keeps getting Def for some reason <_<).
  21. On the archer end, wolt is probably less of an issue since he's auto-deployed for 5 chapters. Dorothy is the one with issues though. IMHO Sue is fine despite her bases, thanks to mounted units being able to move after attacking. Granted, I don't think many people will bother with Wolt/Dorothy given that Kleine joins with OMGWTF bases compared to them. IF Igrene is similarly scaled (haven't played past 13 yet) then there's even less point to poor wolt and dorothy. On the Noah thing, it's intentional then. Nothing changed other than his armor/shield color.
  22. In case it helps in fixing things: - other than losing stats her map icon (when moving) and status screen icon is that of an Armor Knight. Battle sprite is correct though. Other things I noticed: - Is it possible to replace one of the early orion's bolts with a Guiding Ring? With how much Lilina rocks in this one and the fact that Saul is a monk I think people are much more likely to want to promote 2 magic users earlier rather than 2 archers (when you might not even use 2 of them to begin with). Reference: You get 2 Orion's bolts by chapter 11, one from a chest and one from Klein if all his troops live. You only have one guiding ring at this point and the next one is at chapter 14. - Chapter 8. Those Archers near Lilina. They need some fixing. The far one has a steel bow and OHKOs her, the near one with iron bow makes it impossible to stay out of his range. AS it is the only way to save Lilina is to burn some uses off a Physic Staff (and you need a healer with at least 6-7 magic to be able to reach her to begin with) and/or a longbow (which entails having a good archer at this point of the game). - Archers. Dorothy and Wolt sucks. Mostly due to their horrid bases compared to others. Sue has the same issue with bases but the fact that she's mounted (and can hit and run) makes feeding her kills MUCH easier and safer. - Ray and Miledy seems to have rather... well... crap bases compared to the rest of the cast. Miledy could barely handle the dragon riders in the chapter she joins one on one. - The arena is weird. On one hand, most sword-users can breeze through it with ease (Dieck, Noah, Fir, Cath even). On the other hand, spear users have a hell of a time. Especially the peggies, who somehow gets DOUBLED by arena mryms despite them already capping Spd. - Noah's pallete seems to be messed up when he promoted, with his blue armor turning grayish. Bug or intentional?
  23. Bug or intentional? When I promoted Cath she loses 6 speed and 2 move <_<
