@SatsumaFSoysoy Thanks for the translations. Man, I fear for Ferdinands character to go in the wrong direction... I love his handsome looks but his japanese voice is just not my cup of tea. So hopefully he will have a fine voice in English. If his character is proud but noble and lovable in the weirdest ways, he will stay my husbando. Otherwise I will just play a game without husbando material. Less fun but works out too. By this logic Sylvain is still not the green cavalier.

It would be more interesting to get the houses students on rotation, but since they tend to show lots of information with the Black Eagles, they might go for them first. Some of the students look a little older. Hubert seems like he might be a little older too. In my headcanon this academy is more like university than high school. I think it is totally possible that the ages vary a bit.

@SatsumaFSoysoy Thank you for the translations. Somehow I kinda like Hubert. He seems and looks weird, but maybe that and his loyalty to Edelgard make him likable to me. I am looking forward to a creepy Frederick type of guy. It might not make a difference gameplay wise, but I guess he will be starting as a Noble then.

Every character organized by house(with images!)
DuckPhoenix replied to Cysx's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
His name is definitely male. He looks a little girly, but giving a girl that name would be stupid. From what little we know it could go both ways. But if Nintendo of America's twitter keeps releasing the profiles every second day, we might know it in about 2 days. Rhea is a mythological name as far as I know though. I just did a quick google search but I don't want to read further into that. Maybe it will fit the Fire Emblem character. -
Oh, interesting. I didn't notice that they combined two crests for the warp tile. Good observation. So maybe there will be some more combinations of crests for other purposes. (Maybe the crest in the inner circle simply just shows to wich crest you will warp.) Since we all know that that the crests are to blame and that they are most likely important to the plot, I think we might not learn too much about them until later down the release countdown. It might not be coincidence that we see Leicester Alliance crests prominently, but I think the other crests are equally important.

What House do you plan to join?
DuckPhoenix replied to Corrobin's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Black Eagles is definitely my first pick. From all the houses I like these character designs the best. Edelgard looks cool and they have imo the only "husbando-material" Ferdinand. Romance or not, I just need someone pleasing to the eyes. Also, I think Hubert looks interesting. Then I will probably start parallel playthroughs because I will take my time anyways. Dimitri is 2nd and Claude 3rd. As of now I do not have much interest in these two groups. Anything can change, but Edelgard will likely stay my first choice. -
Who's HYPED for FE Three houses?
DuckPhoenix replied to Dinar87's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
I would say, that I am really excited for the release and cannot wait to play the game. But the wording of the first coice sounds a little extreme. So it just looks pretty okay, I guess. (And I am not even a big fan of the artwork.) While I am really excited, I still have a few worries and hopes. The upcoming weeks will probably give me answers and every new tidbit of information is fun as well. Are it that many though? It feels like the eye colors are more diverse than in Fates. Maybe the ones with matching hair/eye color are just way too obtrusive. -
First game to have no name changes (so far)!
DuckPhoenix replied to VincentASM's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
I personally think they might go with Marianne and Ignaz. But I honestly do not know how an American translation team thinks about these names. From my standpoint it fits really well with names like Edelgard, Hubert or Hilda. A little old-fashioned. But I think it is always interesting to learn something about names that are similar to those that I know. So I am looking forward to what the localisation team will do. -
Famitsu website has some new screenshots
DuckPhoenix replied to VincentASM's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Ah yeah. You're right. At least they made Claud somewhat canon with Choose your Legends. I am just a little wary, because I did not like some of the name changes in Fates. Well he definitely seems to be a delicate/soft looking guy. He might just be young. Reminds me a little of Ricken. -

DuckPhoenix replied to VincentASM's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Wonderful. Some more names. I wonder if localization will keep a variant of how you can spell the names with Latin letters. Would they chanhe Ignaz/Ignace because it is close to Ignatius? The map is interesting. Looks a little vague though. Like the map in DQB2. Do you think the landscape might change depending on the seasons? -
Every character organized by house(with images!)
DuckPhoenix replied to Cysx's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Well..for me it makes not a great difference whether it is Lorenz or Lorentz pronunciation wise. Thanks for updating everything. :) Cool. But who is who? (I could not yet check what everyone found out.) -
Every character organized by house(with images!)
DuckPhoenix replied to Cysx's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
The purple haired guy from Golden Deer apperently is called Lorenz. That is if I did not misread the katakana in the new Famitsu scans. I wonder if the article has some more names of the caracters in it. Let's wait and see what you wonderful guys will find out. -

New Switch Trailer with brief Three Houses footage
DuckPhoenix replied to Calico's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Glad to hear Byleth is voiced. I hope they keep on giving us these small tidbits until it is time to show us more in-detail material. -
The Special edition up for preorder
DuckPhoenix replied to E. Wendall's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
You're lucky they opened the preorders again. A few days ago I was about to post it here but suddenly they went out of stock. Then again, Saturn had a great deal (15% off) during the last weekend if you own a membership card. Some people might have canceled their Media Markt orders for that. I hope the people that are still looking for the LE will see your link soon enough. -
The Special edition up for preorder
DuckPhoenix replied to E. Wendall's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Oh. I will absolutely buy it once it is up somewhere. I was just speculating, since all regular games on preorder seem to have a 70€ pricetag for now. Which is just way too expensive for some of them. So here I am still hoping for maybe a 10€ price drop. ? (For gamestop it would mean 110€ though. That shop is expensive here imo.) -

DuckPhoenix replied to E. Wendall's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
I see. Thanks for the fast answer. :) But since it is already this expensive, I should wait for when it pops up somewhere on a German shop. Hopefully prices will drop a little till release. >.< -

Fodlan World Map with Transcribed Locations
DuckPhoenix replied to VincentASM's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
I see. Thanks for clarifying that for me. Your theory is still a good starting point to think further. So yeah...I guess it makes things complicated. Especially if your theory on main locations/crest ratio is correct. -
Fodlan World Map with Transcribed Locations
DuckPhoenix replied to VincentASM's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
How does it make things more complicated (with the mini crests in the center)? Sorry, but I cannot follow your thoughts there. An alliance having all major crests on their banner does make sense to me. There might still be one or two minor families with other crests in Leicester. It's a good thing not all people are as lazy as me when it comes to providing pictures with doodles on them. From what we have seen in the trailer, the students are fighting against Western Church Soldiers. So my guess is, that this territory is autonomous and possibly a place for rebels. But it is without a doubt plot relevant. I wonder if there is a point to the order of the crests and why they changed it. If there wasn't why would they even change the order on the CD. Why would that be a stretch? It's not like things like this did not happen throughout real history. If this is ever touched upon I would love it. Regarding the "relative harmony" the trailer mentions, I think the story will tell a little more about that. -
Fodlan World Map with Transcribed Locations
DuckPhoenix replied to VincentASM's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Thank you for marking them on the picture. :) What I think is weird about them is, that if Dimitri's crest and Claude's crest were to change places in the order, the alliance crests would be right next to each other. Oh...you are right. This crest was also in the center of the magic spell. I totally forgot about that. Maybe the family under this crest is well known for their magical aptitude? If I had to make a guess on who that could be...right now I would chose the boy/girl with the glasses from Golden Deer. -
Fodlan World Map with Transcribed Locations
DuckPhoenix replied to VincentASM's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
If you look closely at this leicester alliance crest/emblem/whatever ot is called in english... Top left is the moon we all know. Too right is the symbol that is also in the center of the healing spell from Linhardt. It is also next to Dimitris crest. Bottom left has the weird circle that is under the woman who is on her knees and dressed in white. Bottom right is a little hard to make out, but the center of the alliance had these 4 crests in mini again and I think this one is the crest that is to the right of the 'weird circle'. Sorry for not being able to provide more pictures. I am on my phone and it is the middle of the night. -

DuckPhoenix replied to VincentASM's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
We can already see the 4 crests from Leicester Alliance and although I like your theory, they do not match with it. The number of crests might be a possibility though.
