  1. And Sacred Stones will be out over there August 6th: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wiiu/software/vc/pbbj/index.html Yet the only game not on the VC over there is FE6. Strange.
  2. https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYMHAAACAABnUYna8tgpFA Top lel. Is this our "y cant metroid crawl" equivalent? :p
  3. Oh don't you even go there. It claims to be normal mode, but i'm suspicious. Do normal and hard have identical enemy counts? Incidentally, the game isn't keeping track of suspend data correctly (it just loaded the map back up for me several actions behind).
  4. ... Isadora and Harken cannot double those fighters and barely even 4HKO them by themselves. By the time I am done killing the initial enemies, the remaining ones that move are coming at me in waves and I am stuck there trying to ride them out. Besides tossing Marcus an Iron Lance, the trainees can't do crap to the generic soldiers. I should note that I got depressing level ups in the prologue (I think Marcus was the only one to get more than 2 stats in anything), but if this chapter is an uphill struggle because I was RNG screwed, that's just as lousy. This is not "too easy".
  5. I understand this game is trying to strike a balance with dodging/tanking, but isn't this going too far? The trainees are barely capable of more than scratch damage, even on the good side of the weapon triangle. It's kind of reasonable in the prologue (though, multiple rounds of reinforcements already? really?), and stretches disbelief in chapter 2. I cannot find a way to beat that map that doesn't involve turtling at the start and praying I don't mess up and get overrun, and ignoring everything else until the dust settles. It is not fun to be stuck with only two units that can do more than spend turn after turn clawing HP off enemies. Is this supposed to be normal mode or FE10 maniac? By the way, it crashes when you attack the snag underneath Darin. I ragequit after that.
  6. So that makes Flare, Corona, and Deadeye the only RD masteries that will trigger at range, correct? Why did his Mt drop by 10 at range, for that matter?
  7. Don't bother, they've got either a comment bot or a ridicuously dedicated 12 year old spamming all the rational replies out of view.
  8. IIRC, the Skills Supreme vids were taken down quite some months ago when Final Extreme started, I presume because they intended to re-do them with better editing, but whoever's got the keys to the channel right now (there have been multiple people running it at different times, apparently) has made it go to shit, so no telling. Actually, I hesitated to bring up the state of the goldieX39 channel here, since she's been banned off the forum and I wasn't sure if she was considered persona-non-grata around here, but what the hell.
  9. Sometimes I wonder why you don't just make Rey a Swordmaster :p
  10. I'm getting some ridiculously good level ups this run: He got +2 HP two levels in a row and can keep up the slack. It's almost too bad you don't exist for a 1/3rd of the game. I couldn't get Shon to gain Str worth a crap last time. Now he's a mini-Kelik. (Corben is getting Spd-screwed in exchange.) THE BOULDER is doing Corben's job better than he is and is a total bamf in every stat that counts (plus the Talisman I threw on) Unfortunately I am to the point where 7x doesn't seem to want to unlock. :( Also, wat:
  11. And take this into account while you're at it, as there is way too much of it: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TalkingIsAFreeAction (that, and making the player have to witness conversations get recapped to absent characters when it isn't necessary)
  12. Was FEXP able to support the Steam UI? Because the XNA engine certainly can. (yes, I just realized this) I understand most things that render in DirectX support Steam's overlay?
  13. I suspected it might be that. Very slick, looking forward to the full thing!
  14. Lulz? (She had the silver lance at one point but it was being put to better use elsewhere) That's a relief. I probably brought half of the frustration on myself but TR3 was grueling. I did like the boss and his locked off panic room, at least until the goddamn 70 HP berserkers came up the steps to rape me. I know attack skills can be triggered when you fill their gauges, but what's the criteria for filling them and why does it still list a trigger %?
  15. Maybe a silly question, but is Eliza going to be quite that crummy in that map in the full game? The only safe use I was able to get out of her was assassinating calvary and a few armors with the Pike, having her attack anything else was dicey.
  16. I was under the impression that was a seperate flaw in the system? This one doesn't involve saving at any point and even a trip back to the title screen didn't erase Narcian from the logbook; only hitting L+R+Start did.
  17. Ok, the sequence of events went like thus: > Fighting spotpass teams without saving for fun > Beat Narcian, choose not to recruit him > MU dies to Oliver in humilating fashion*, Game Over > Return to title screen, load up save > Narcian is still in the logbook, somehow, despite everything else being what it was before I summoned him > Soft reset > Narcian is gone from the logbook. (Strangely fitting.) Thought i'd share this interesting loophole, although it's pointless - recruiting someone from the logbook costs like twice as much as it does on the map, so other than being able to, I guess, record streetpass MUs for a later date without losing anything, you gain nothing. Before you think of it, I also tried recruiting the unit you beat and then getting the game over. They don't stay in the party. Too bad. (* I was trying to show off when the fat man proc'd Vengeance at 5 HP left. Ow.)
  18. http://serenesforest.net/fe13/calculation.html "If he then uses a Master Seal as a Level 10~20 Mercenary to become a Level 1 Hero, his internal Level will be [1 + 20 + (15 - 1) / 2] = 28." Somehow I don't think that answer is correct. Or i'm just that rusty at basic formulas. There is also the question of whether this game rounds up or down. Adding a blurb about internal levels to the FAQ might also be helpful.
  19. I am still trying to wrap my head around internal levels. Assuming I second-seal people as soon as I collect both skills from a class, about how much reclassing can one unit get away with, per difficulty, before the slow EXP gain starts to become a major hindrance? (I am on Normal, currently)
  20. So this is why there are map saves now? lol Randomly dumped me at a crash near the end of TR2 when the enemy phase began. Suspend here, if it helps: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/52809406/suspend.sav btw, my compliments guys, it finally doesn't lag on my system and I can actually enjoy this :o (edit: if it would STOP CRASHING, that's twice in 30 minutes)
  21. Oh god, that track. Could you cut the volume down on that to a point where it isn't screeching loud? My eardrums will thank you ;_;
  22. Best: FE9/10 "Weapon Broke!" jingle Entertainingly silly sounding in these games. It gave me a chuckle. Worst: FE11/12 "Weapon Broke!" jingle The only fitting thing about this rendition is it's played through a very sickly, broken-sounding trumpet (or whatever the fuck it's supposed to be).
  23. Good. It was only $5 (the minimum they will take on a pre-order), but Best Buy is within walking distance of this place and i'm willing to take my business elsewhere if Gamestop doesn't have it by Tuesday.
