  1. So, what happens if you name yourself as the defendant?
  2. Honestly, the only thing that's extremely likely to be unique to FE is the fact that there's occasionally a god who will eventually grow senile and omnicidal mostly from being alive for too long. And, of course, the "Fire Emblem," which is usually the implied means of killing an divine being. The weapon triangle isn't exactly unique, since it occasionally pops up in other genres. Plus, the bit about an young prince getting accustomed to the realities of wars sounds like something that wouldn't be out of place from medieval fantasy.
  3. I just assumed that it was mainly over how the prerendered cutscenes were gradually improving. I mean, this is certainly more thrilling than Greil dying at the hands of the Black Knight
  4. I've thought that we were already at this point with 3H?
  5. Ok, this is actually pretty hilarious. But it's kind of tame compared to GTA V
  6. Yeah, but so do an lot of other countries. But I think that this was more or less an holdover from how an lot of European countries were kind of late in regards of changing their political system into an democracy. Almost surprised with how that there isn't an push to address that.
  7. Well, people usually make an nude mod of whatever they can, might as well speed up the process and use that as an selling point
  8. I think that they had to trim the fat, somewhere along the line and it looked like the Nohrian tomes were the ones who got it.
  9. Played it when it came out. Cyrus went from being an stoner to smoking too much LSD. Other than that, it's certainly an mild improvement with everything else. He's the court jester. Come on, if an guy says that he hasn't lost since he last shaved and he has an insane mustache, you'd have to put that theory to the test. Otherwise Garon wouldn't be the king of Nohr. Gen 6 came off of GF switching writers at the last second. Gen 7 was an lot better; but at that point I was getting tired of the series. I picked up my brother's copy of Sword out of boredom, couldn't really find anything that's good enough for an complete team without exploring the Wild Area over the course of two or three weeks. The music was great, but the story could have easily been prevented if the chairman took the "Dude, calm down. We can work on your energy issues, tomorrow" bit to heart, considering how there haven't been any brownouts in-game. Sky was an bit of an slogfest for more of less the same plot as Darkness, but with an explanation why Diagla went insane...Actually I forgot how that bonus chapter ended.
  10. Awakening, 3H, and Fates all have dark magic. But in Fates it's only Nosferatu that has an class restriction. In Awakening, you get these and then some. Note that Mire is an siege tome and most of these are slightly stronger than conventional magic and it's class-locked to dark mages and sorcerors. But not dark knights for some reason. In 3H, dark magic is exclusive to an handful of characters and it has some side effects attached to the Greek techno lightshow, like reducing someone's speed by 5 for one turn.
  11. I'm genuinely did this with Camilla and I instantly knew that the series will never grow out of it.
  12. Jade is honestly an little bit on the underwhelming side; but not to the point where she's an instant bench. She might work out better as an Great Knight or an Warrior than as an axe general
  13. Honestly, an playable knight that's been blessed with an insane amount of invulnerability by some random war god wouldn't be too out of place. Yeah, but Pokemon more or less had an low bar for the story; except for Gen V and the antics of Team Magma
  14. Honestly, Diamond was kind of boring in comparison to everything else that I've played. Might have had something to do with the fact that this was my first game in the series and Cyrus was fucking stoned out of his mind.
  15. With the sole exception of Fates, most of the recent games have actually been pretty generous with the three main types of anima magic by giving at least three different tiers of them. 3 Houses is an bit an outlier because each character can only learn an handful of specific spells that's mainly from 2 or 3 different elements. Engage has the same deal with Awakening with the very notable absence of dark magic.
  16. Unless you're deadset on giving each school of elemental magic an unique but viable set of skills, people are going to flock to whoever's the fastest and the ones that deal the highest amount of damage. And it's kind of hard to justify 2 magicians attacking each other since they're usually glass cannons who are supposed to more or less immune to magic
  17. Honestly, I liked Amber's support conversations an lot more than his initial role on the battlefield. Sure, he can dive with Ike's ultimate move, but an lot of people can pull it off an lot better than he can. The one good thing that I can say about when he joins is that he comes with an free killer lance. Of course, it shouldn't be that hard of an decision on who to give it to.
  18. I'm kind of hoping that it'll include an decent single-player campaign. Sure, Ultimate and the fourth game were great; but there's only so far you can go with online gameplay without it coming off as another retool of the fourth game
  19. As long as you understand how algebra and probability works, you'll be fine, for the most part
  20. An pulse-Doppler radar should pick up something that's as larger as an flying car. Only snag is that you have to set it to track slow-moving objects
  21. Yeah, it kind of is. Either you grind out a few levels or just fight in an wedge and give your Ridersbane to someone else
  22. Either some variant of colonialism or someone keeps on fighting an hopeless war because of honor or vengeance. Or an new magitech society pops up
  23. Honestly, I'm half-convinced that it'll be as one-sided as this But it will be an fun idea, regardless.
