  1. Oh wow, that would be cool. If only she was the one with the dragonshield. IMO speedwings are just as good as dragonshields in gba FE's, maybe even better. Speed is very good in the games because of dodging and doubling being so good, and two speed being enough to get most characters doubling.
  2. Yeah, curious how apparently Amelia is more persistent than this guy? Does she really show up here if you didn't recruit her earlier? I heard that somewhere, but doesn't she show up pretty early on in a rout map? How can she still be alive to recruit if you didn't get her the first time? She leaves on like turn 12 or something, and just comes back. If your not planning on using her you can get two speedwings off her by stealing the first and recruit her second.
  3. If Eirika walks over there, and she's not gonna be doing much else, she will be in position for recruitment asap. But yeah, Pablo's not that hard.
  4. I continued the expirimental ironman I was doing, and here is what happened. 22-I did a big brain. No deaths. What I did was sent Isadora, Eliwood, Legault, Ninian Canas, and Rebecca to the left, Eliwood to recruit Heath, Isadora to kill stuff, Canas to get one last level, promote and heal, Ninian to dance for Canas so he can heal multiple times, and Legault to get the 10000 G and brave axe. After recruiting Heath, I disarmed Isadora and used her as a wall on the right entrance to the left room. I trained Heath by using the weaker enemies that could only come 1 at a time on the left, and Ninian danced so Canas could heal both in one turn. Lyn and Raven went to the right, to recruit Rath. Rath comes with a light rune, and I placed it in front of the room and Raven, Lyn, and Rath could chill there for a few turns until the enemies were somewhere else and wouldn't attack. Hector and Oswin were disarmed and blocked the entrance to Nils' room. Did you know that unconscious Nils has 5 move? These dragon powers are good. Erk and Serra supported them from behind, Serra getting xp, and Erk attacking enemies once in a while.. 23-Erk died to 3 30% hitting on one enemy phase just after his original thunder tome he came with broke, but nothing else went wrong. Heath helped Pent. Got all the treasure and the gaiden. I will see how that goes.
  5. I have to assume that since I was a kid, I just rushed it with some over-grinded trainee unit or something. You start really, really close to the boss after all. And I would have been playing on normal. Ah yes, normal mode, AKA the mode where there are half of the enemies and your army from half the game ago could have taken them, even without Seth.
  6. That's not a crime. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WREY779phfU I let my brother watch how to train your dragon 5 times in a row.
  7. banned for posting immediately after me.
  8. banned for having too long of a ban
  9. But a prepromote with 8 speed and not much of a growth in it isn't very helpful. ehh he can still double some things. and he has an A in axes but whatever.
  10. NO DEVIL AXE BEST WEAPON. No C staves for you! Add this to the death counter. I will be disappointed if you don't. Hector in a nutshell. Imagine if he applied this to trials in Ostia. "There's been a murder in the town of *insert Ostian town*. I don't know who's responsible, so I'm going to destroy you all". (I know it makes more sense here... but damn the thought is funny). School zero tolerance policies be like Florina is very screwed without Lyn mode, and Fiora is better most of the time in that case. Monks are hilariously bad enemies in this game. Hehehehe zero damage on wyvern riders go brrrrrr. That would be scary as heck. Can come out of fog to attack you with an attack radius of 11 tiles, and a killing edge. Since when did FE not have bad, abusable AI?
  11. You must kill nino and rebecca as soon as you get them. I 20/20'd Dorcas once without arenas.
  12. That's only true in the pre-GBA games, imo. Not necesarily. In games like FE1, it is very reasonable to promote at level 20 due to xp never slowing down and promotion meaning almost nothing. In Thracia 776, early promotion is very reasonable due to very low caps. In HHM, xp gain gets slowed dramatically and early promotion at 14-15 is reasonable. Sacred stones promotions at level 15 is reasonable due to the game being shorter and easier. FE6 early promotion can help. I usually just promote when xp gain slows.
  13. Drinks pepsi. has next user stand on moon for destruction of moon in assassination classroom.
  14. I, uh... ...Yeah, I've seen it. It's the only support with Lute I ever did as a kid. I rarely used her, I always preferred Ewan. I remember finding it hilarious as a kid, but also... kinda weird? And now... yeah, depending on how correct my memory is, I can see why I might come to hate it. Isn't there like a theory floating around that Lute has autism? Also it still isn't too late for LutexRoss Rennac has horrible bases pretty much period. He is very good at opening chests and doors, and that is what he does. And I'm fairly certain that L'arachel is pretty much only helpful in offering stuff in Rausten, and just kinda... dinks around for the other parts of the game. She literally says in one of her supports that she will strike SMITE the monsters with her staves.
  15. Honestly, since the arena is right there, you may as well give him 10 levels. If they're good then you don't have to bother giving him a speedwing and he'll be ok as a shaman, and if they are bad then he recruits Marisa and heads to the bench. Well, unless you are me and use him regardless. Alright I ran some numbers, and the probability of him getting at least 3 speed is about 66 percent. If you have a speedwing, these are good odds. If you don't have a speedwing, the chance that he gets at least 5 speed is: 17 percent. If you don't have a speedwing, just do what @ping said: because even if Ewan isn't getting doubled, he still can get crit, and that will still kill him. Its like how everyone first recruited Joshua except he actually attacks everyone.
  16. Alright, looking at base stats and growths, I can say this: Marisa has 8 more speed then Ewan. Ewan has a 35% speed growth. If you somehow arena abused Ewan to level 10, he'd, on average, have 8-9 speed. Ewan needs 10 or more speed to avoid being doubled. So, if you have a speedwing, he only needs to grow speed 3 times to avoid getting doubled. If you don't have a speedwing on hand, then you are better off trying a differing strategy.
  17. Oh yeah, best recruitment ever! Crit weapon, out-moves recruiter, out-powers in every way recruiter, kills recruiter on sight, SO MUCH FUN.
  18. Heh, ded, Raven actually is a good use for goddess icons, he has really bad luck. Fun fact: staves use 1 rn instead of 2. Disliked, unsubbed, and deleted. bad Benice. Dang, I dont remember this support being this way.
  19. That took me an hour to figure out, but my stupidest part of that game was where I tried to take on the omega metroid at the end.... By just spamming the laser at him. It took me a lonnnggggg time to figure out that charge beam and running back and forth between him and the wall worked best. That was also at the point where I never actually used charge beam unless the enemy was only harmed by it, because I thought just spamming lasers did better damage over time. But yeah, the area around Nightmare is one of, if not the hardest point in the game. Also there was a time when I played the original Age of Mythology: Titan expansion, and I just played the greeks and spammed hoplites because I thought they were cool. Never even upgraded them. The best part is on the easiest difficulty those games are so easy you could probably beat them without making anything besides villagers. But as soon as I went a difficulty level up? I got wrecked. Or the first time I played FE7 I decided I really liked Dorcas. No reason for it or anything, but I fed him kills and statboosters like no tomorrow and 20/20'd him. Needless to say even with 2 speedwings Dorcas only has like 14 or 15 speed at 20/20. That run Marcus also hit level 20-at the very start of Four-Fanged offense. (Lloyd's version, all three of my lords were at like level 5).
  20. That almost always happens, and gosh, it is annoying. Yeah he did. Rip Joshua, best boy.
  21. Hector mode, he is next to Fargus, Eliwood mode, he is above the arena. Yeah, Florina and Shanna both always whip everything for me, but for some reason all of FE8's fliers hate me, they always die really quickly on ironmans, and otherwise they don't do well if I stay with them. Farina also destroys everything, although I've never used Tate or Fiora. I think berserker promotion gives him like 3-4 con, though, and he has a good speed growth, so it doesn't matter all that much. Try charging the level 17-18 pirates and mages without marcus when they have powerful weapons and my luck with enemy hits, and there is the difficulty. Chillax, that house only had a short bow, I think. Well, he does have a killing edge, which can be scary... if your name isn't Oswin, of course. He only has a killing edge in Eliwood mode, actually, which is weird.
  22. Losing Florina the chapter before her sister was second saddest, but it was also on the last turn, so if I hadn't done the button clicking mistake, promoted sain, Florina (who had gotten a perfect level earlier in the chapter.), and Matthew with the two promotion items was horrible. I almost allowed myself to reset just because it was a flawed mistake. Only one silver bow sniper was alive, which is why I survived, because I usually kill them really fast because they are 20 free experience to just attack, and a free level to kill. I'm almost certainly going 24A at this point, because to go 24B I'd need to give Lyn at least 5 levels, and Lyn is Lyn, sooo... maybe I can go 24B, because unpromoted Wallace is just gonna get his butt whooped in 3 turns almost certainly, and 24B is an easier chapter due to the boss not moving and no fog of war BS. If you level him up, yes. And his growths are a bit better, too (although, hilariously enough, his defense is lower). Yeah, but I think Kevin has a higher speed growth and a 120% hp growth to make up for it, but Kevin is one of the most beastly armor knights i have ever seen, over Oswin and Amelia kidding, don't hurt me.
