  1. Maybe Baron, ton of health and all weapons. Would be an interesting boss. To make multiple weapon ranks he could have a skill that allows him to change weapon after attacking (to avoid getting screwed by using a bow).
  2. http://serenesforest.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/famitsu2105-2.jpg Don't know if this has been mentioned but is it just me or do all swords have the same icon? If so that's kinda lazy, it was always a nice touch that every weapon had a custom icon unique to itself.
  3. Tell me, who immediately thought of giving Frederick the MU's bronze sword on chapter 1 on their very first try? I doubt anyone thought of that on their first playthrough of Lunatic.
  4. If a game requires either a guide or trial and error it's BS difficulty, hence my I wanna be the guy comparison. That and you're relying on some wonky RNG (And for some reason in Normal mode it's similar to FE8 RNG while in Harder modes there's a lot more things you'd expect from FE6 RNG).
  5. If a mode that's full of bullshit/IWannnaBeTheGuy difficulty is the only way to mak the game actually challenging then something went horribly wrong.
  6. Well I don't know about you guys but I can't wait for FE15 to give us Star Mode, a mode that gives all allied units infinite HP. At one point I called Normal/Casual "Pussy Mode", I take that back, this has taken that title over. Why not implement a Golden Leaf while they're at it? On weapon durability... I hope that it depends on difficulty mode (No Durability for Casual and Pussy mode but included in Classic). Not the first news I wanted to hear as soon as I came on the internet today, that last trailer got me hyped, this news made me lose more then half the hype. Is this really going to be the direction Fire Emblem will be taking? Simplifying things more and more until it could be any generic easy RPG?
  7. I have to disagree, it's pretty much English, German, Spanish, Italian and French. Translating from English to one of the other 4 isn't going to take nowhere near as long as from japanese to english, there's also the fact that it should be in the process of translating at the same time as the english version, so 2 months is actually pretty reasonable, especially considering the raise in popularity. Really it shouldn't take too long if they make it so NoE and NoA stay in contact and pass the translation between the two so they can work more efficiently.
  8. I'm hoping it's just because of a darker plot or some very minor swearing. I doubt we'll have anything worse than summer scramble.
  9. Well if you can port the way the summoner in FE8 summons phantoms to fe7, replacing phantoms with those familiars might be something you could do for it.

Awakening MV... AMV... please tell me that was a completely intentional pun.
  11. I don't know much about how bad it was in NA but over here there were still not too many copies months after release, eventually after 3 stores I found a copy in media markt.
  12. I'm going to wait and see how it's received by others before I spend money on it just to find out I don't enjoy it. (mostly by looking at what people that have similar opinions to mine think of it).
  13. The very first enemy on the prologue in my first hard mode playthrough got a crit off on my MU, no big deal, right? Just a stroke of bad luck, heck if I use Chrom this time surel- ... twice... Enemies with crit chances on early game is not what I consider "difficulty" I consider it cheap and about as luck based as chance time in mario party. Funnily enough, not a single enemy crit was from a myrmidon, it's from the ones that I least expected. Oh one of my units is in range of a pegasus, what could possibly go wrong? hint: everything. Oh I didn't even get to a point where I'm capable of grinding, one bit of RNG-screwage in the prologue with level ups and your only hope in chapter 1 is having Frederic not get hit by the 56 hit chance barbarian wielding a Hammer, and all the many other units that none of your units can reliably take care of, and don't forget having to fall back on praying to Anna for Dual Strikes/Guards. I could just restart from the very beginning, but that shows exactly a problem with the design, you shouldn't be able to get stuck in an impossible situation just because of luck. Take fe4 for an example, the RNG in that game isn't very reliable, however if you miss one hit it's not fatal, most of the time you still have access to a plan B or C, in Awakening however, the moment I see the "miss" text on screen I can pretty much just press L+R+Start The way I see it: More Randomness/RNG/Luck = Less Strategy. It's the same reason I dislike Pair-up, we have enough RNG-based systems as is, adding more only takes away strategy in turn for luck. If you like it, more power to you but I can't play it without the game feeling either too easy or too unfair (And the former's saying something, considering Fe8 is my second favourite, and used to be my favourite, even with it being considered the easiest game before Awakening).
  14. I'd be okay with casual returning, as long as it doesn't affect the game's design. I really have my doubts about there having been much playtesting in Awakening of higher difficulties on classic. The thing that I dislike about casual is not what it is, it's what it stands for. The very name itself implies a casual and streamlined experience, which was very obviously a part of Awakening's design. The game should be made with a classic mode perspective to make it so people who play on classic hard won't get screwed over by early game enemies with crit chances. It is the best way to go about it IMO, if the game's designed with classic in mind there'll be less bullshit for those who play classic, and those who play casual won't even be affected by this change, they might not even notice it (except for maybe less "deaths" because of unfair circumstances).
  15. Well technically picking up the game and playing it is also optional. If I hadn't done all the optional stuff I would've probably been able to beat the game in a day. (Also there's no option to completely turn off pair-up, so it isn't really optional, unless you go through the "optional" trouble of making sure not a single unit is next to another). Really, optional stuff wouldn't bother me if it didn't affect as many thing as it does, you can say marriage and waifus are optional, but it still affects the game and makes the support system work different, also it's kinda necessary for 100%ing the game. What would you be left with if you didn't do all the optional things in this game? A pretty boring and watered down playthrough of the game, in a way half of the entire game is optional.
  16. Pretty much all the battle quotes from Henry and the Vaike Henry because puns and his... very optimistic view of the world. And Vaike for being the Vaike. They also of course have some funny ones in dialogues.
  17. I'll just wait for it, I never get a game on launch anymore anyway (last dime I did was Paper Mario Sticker Star). After Awakening it's not worth the money of importing. (Also this time I'm gonna look at how fans receive it, instead of how reviewers from IGN and the like who've only played Awakening and haven't got a single clue what FE is about, received it).
  18. Fe7 maybe some snes games, also maybe a fe4 translation would be cool Digimon World DS, Dawn and Dusk. (I want to actually own these games, I've put hundreds of hours in each but I'd really like to play them on my 3DS, hopefully on european VC as well).
  19. So something like this, I think it looks somewhat different. Also made an Abel archetype to go along with the Cain one, I guess his expression is slightly different. Feel the power of a warrior~ Made this Warrior Jeigan guy, I tried doing something fancy with the helmet, kind of backfired. Also his shoulder pads are kind of annoying to do as I'm trying to include the spikes without breaking the hackbox.
  20. She's most likely back to "Suspend game?" and secret shop status, maybe she'll appear as an easter egg in a village. And honestly I prefer it that way, the whole thousands of Anna sister and one being playable thing in Awakening kind of took away what made her special/different for me, it used to be like this easter egg character that you'd see every so often and would say "oh, hi Anna" but her being absolutely everywhere in awakening made her feel lie she's not that different from any generic villager npc. Also, I always liked to theorize she and Jake travelled all over the world and went from continent to continent.
  21. Thanks but, the =I face is kind of like the default expression for face sprites. I think that should have fixed it.
  22. I don't really understand what you meant with "top of his eye is shorter than the bottom of his eye", but I hope this fixed it.
  23. What's the matter don't like the Lyngerie? The only reason I thought it was SMTxFe was because I was immediatey focusing on if any FE characters showed up and at the beginning I thought the blue-hair guy was a Sigurd redesign, I also thought the eerie dude with glowing eyes was maybe a combination of Zihark and Volke and when I saw Tiki I was certain it was SMTxFE.
  24. I figured it out. It's Fire Emblem If White and gold, Fire Emblem If Black and blue. Eureka! Still siding with Black and Blue, if I were to find out my parents aren't really my parents by blood and my family is another one, I'd stay with my "adopted family" because I consider them my true family. Of course if it's both in one cartridge and there's no extra paying I'd play White and Gold first, then Black and Blue.
  25. ^One look at that face... Gheb, only Gheb can contain such... ugliness...
