    So basically Valkyria Chronicles Highlander, Fire Emblem (including Ruben's fanfiction of it) and Harry Potter? In this context the 1st and 3rd options would have made infinitely more sense imo, so seeing the author going for the stupid one instead is kinda dejecting (though the actual thing might make me change idea) Also:
