  1. Yes. Now my 23 spear skill Leon is all alone. He might still be able to promote, at least. Arthur is at least a massive carry atm - his stats are better than Ward's now, with about 30 MShield skill and the Wyrmskin Shield. Level 16 Dean too, especially since I managed to nab a Poleax.
  2. He did it to save the rest of the party from Mr. Sleep and his Armor Knight buddies. Just thought he would know how to dodge a 20 and a 30 =( My total death list is: Elbert (5-m), Christine (6-m), Ruby (6-2, failed shield and axebane simultaneously), Volo (6-2 again, adept + crit from the bow boss), Sylvis (7-1, died to Deadeye archer), Axel (8-m, either risk him or risk game over on Reese), then Adel and Besteban in 9-m. I do have the Dusk and Dawn charms (+17 Avo/Hit respectively) now, with Dean and Arthur both recruited and promoted.
  3. Just played 8-2 and 9-m. 8-2 went incredibly well, somehow, but Esteban forgot what dodging is and Adel got rekt by the ballistae cuz the lancers wouldn't f***ing move into my Vanishstone Sherpa. Also, Brymranger broke on green. FML
  4. Oh god, my Berwick Ironman is starting to go a bit off the rails. Sylvis died in 7-1 to the Deadeye guy, and Axel died to a 33 in 8-m - after literally OHKO'ing Vasquez in his house. Oh, and Enid got crippled on Turn 3 to an attack that dealt 14 damage. My current deaths are Elbert, Christine, Ruby, Volo, Sylvis, and Axel. And now I have to do 8-2 with a crippled, 2 magic Enid and a low level Aegina. Might just try to get Larentia to kill Gomez and try to seize ASAGDMFP, while Marcel just gets loaded up with vulneraries. Might even get her a Vanishstone just for safety's sake.
  5. Amusingly enough, that's one of my favorites. I like the tension of fighting these giant monsters that have to be killed in more creative means, or can be sent against each other by sneaking up on and killing the Wyrmspeaker. It's also got one of the best tracks in the game with really good story all around it (get the sword or you will not be happy).
  6. My ironman is still going, but not as well as it was. I, being a total dumbass, got Ruby killed in 6-2, thinking she'd either shield or proc Axebane on a 40%. She did neither, and Volo died to a crit from the bow boss. That was a mess and a half. Yet, somehow, 7-m went off without a hitch - no deaths nor life-saving dodges, got all the civvy requests and tactics points. I also now get to use Dusk Charm Faye tactics, just for fun. Also, this came in the mail today. It has all the manuals, and only cost me ~55 USD. I'll have to mod my PS2 if I want to play the game disc on the console.
  7. That's Awakening for ya. Power of Friendship and whatnot.
  8. Well, there have been reports of Q stuff popping up in Europe. It's still pretty fringe there, but basically every country in Europe loves making fun of Trump. That leads me, personally, to believe that it's gonna stay around in the US a fair bit.
  9. So's mine, but it looks correct to me. I've been listening to some french music to try to retrain my ear recently. Been pretty fun.
  10. It's actually pretty good for getting a few crits on Thor if you combo it with Triple Shot and Killer Arrows - 3 crits on average, meaning average of 45 damage or so (assuming the shots hit). It'll break the bow, but it's pretty funny.
  11. Oh, right. 8000 free gold and a good shield.
  12. More story for Ward, and (iirc) a full repair for Gram + Perseid if you get all 18.
  13. Welcome to Black Knights, probably the scariest enemy type in the whole game.
  14. Enemies in FE5 can get an extra point of move, but it's not very common.
  15. Well, what about 0-avoid armor knights and sub-100 hit totals? If a character has a raw 94 hit, and the enemy has 0 avoid, they would only have less (rationally) than 100 hit because they aren't fully proficient with their weapon yet.
  16. I don't like movement stars much, but the others work well in games they're present (FE5, TRS, VS for mov growths).
  17. Speaking of Kaga and new games, I hope Dangen starts translating HSoS soon. I haven't played in a bit - busy with school and such, but the first five chapters were really fun (2 kinda sucked, but the rest were great). I'm also actually invested in the Vestaria Sagas, while non-remake FE games haven't had me invested since RD =P
  18. Also, the Torch staff should not be capped at 99 hit when every other staff can hit 100. That's just BS. It's a very niche method, but missing heals/staff uses does still increase staff rank, and that can be used on a low skill staffer to gain Warp access more quickly.
  19. That map is really good (2nd or 3rd favorite in the game for me), but it's also quite punishing.
  20. Yeah, that could work. If enemy scaling were increased, imagine the hell that would be C22. No thank you.
  21. Honestly, I think 2RN would kinda break a lot of Thracia. A lot of enemies have low hitrates to begin with, and with the effects of 2rn, basically everyone would be a dodgetank for a long time. I can agree with getting rid of the 1/99 hit boundaries, though. That feels like Kaga trying to make more dynamic, reaction-based gameplay (a la Berwick's turn system and Vestaria's map design) in a very poorly thought-out manner. I do like Thracia Fatigue, though, because it actually matters and prevents you from building a single super team of units, which was something that really bores me in a lot of entries in the series.
  22. Oh yeah, I think that map's pretty good. Not one of my favorites, but still. I'd say my top 7 or so (in descending order) are The Heretic God, Breaking Bridges, The Gathering, The Three Priests, Hold the Fort, Impossible Dream, and Hero of the Sagas. Like everybody else, I hate the snow map, and I think that A Paladin's Duty is dragged down greatly by the mid section with the hidden enemies with ORKO potential. The rest of that map is pretty good.
